With a title like that, there is not much to reveal. Even so, I will not go into the story itself and what the characters are up to. But as the title suggests let me make clear, that this is not for the faint hearted. Violence, nudity and more "shocking" things await you.

If you are easily offended, you should not even consider watching this. It is sick in many respects and its general idea is really despicable. But again, the movie is not hiding anything from you. It never tried to fool you into something, so it stays true to itself. And for what it tries to achieve, it is more than decent. It's short too, which makes it a nice enough ... snack (if you'll excuse the pun)

Intriguing!

Warning: Spoilers
Otavio and Gilda are two members of the enormously wealthy Brazilian elite who have an interesting kink: they like to eat their employees. Luckily, Otavio owns a private security company that's always on high alert. He's also a notable member of The Cannibal Club, but when Gilda catches Borges -- a powerful congressman and the Club's leader -- having sex with a man, both of their lives are in extreme danger.T

he Cannibal Club is an all-male group of the elite who meet to give speeches about faith, family and hard work while watching sex shows and people being violently killed.Director Guto Parente makes all of the proceedings look lush and opulent, no matter how depraved they get.

A warning -- this movie is packed with sex and gore. There's no skimping on either, so if you're going in expecting a sanitized Hollywood style movie, be prepared for a shock.

A distinctive addition to the cannibal genre, boasting enough unique elements to make it worth a watch

I recently watched the Brazilian film 🇧🇷 Cannibal Club (2018) on Tubi. The storyline revolves around a wealthy couple who are part of an exclusive club where the members indulge in cannibalism. However, when this couple stumbles upon a government secret, they go from being the hunters to the hunted.

Written and directed by Guto Parente (The Monsters), the film features Tavinho Teixeira (King Car), Ana Luiza Rios (The Last Breath), Pedro Domingues (My Own Private Hell) and Zé Maria (Derrick).

As a Brazilian movie with subtitles, Cannibal Club offers a storyline that, while somewhat cliché, still had some potential. The movie kicks off with a strong opening kill sequence, and there are some well-executed kills and blood splatter throughout this picture. The film manages to incorporate enough unique elements to set itself apart. While it might not reach the level of Fresh, it falls in the same category with similar twists and turns.

In conclusion, Cannibal Club is a distinctive addition to the cannibal genre, boasting enough unique elements to make it worth a watch. I would rate this a 5/10 and recommend giving it a viewing.

A homemade film, totally amateur, it was a torture of the 70 minutes of film, I am giving 2 stars with good faith, horrible in every way, I am impressed by the Brazilian government sponsoring this type of work.

Horribly slow and painful

The most amateur movie I've ever seen. The scenes are not connected, the characters have no background, and even the cannibalism has nothing to do with the plot. You literally watch still images and wait the scenes to end but they just go on forever so freaking slowly... I understand they tried to spice up things with so called cannibalism but they forgot to implement that. And why is this even a comedy? I laughed but that's not count.

My Review Of "The Cannibal Club"
ASouthernHorrorFan11 March 2019
The story is an exploration into the elitist indulgent behavior when it crosses into the darkest, more sinister of tastes. It utilizes elements of early video nasty pics filled with gory visuals, and a mild exploitative sexual nature. The film also transcends its egocentric background to encompass a relatable storyline that, minus language, could easily fit Italian / Europeanut / American giallo cinema. Basically "The Cannibal Club" is relatable regardless of demographics.

Parente's characters do feel slightly contrived in that they never fully mature into complete characters. They seem more like mimics than completely understood personas. That being said, what we do get is enough to sell truly entertaining satires of elite psychopaths. I mean they use domestic help menus to choose a victim and use sex as a seasoning / flavor enhancement.

The special effects are graphic scenes of gore and carnage done expertly. Most of which are practical. Even the CGI elements are a quality that have the same quality and impact of the practical stuff. I have to say that even though "The Cannibal Club" isn't what I was expecting, it was such a fun, entertaining and graphic horror drama, one worth checking out!
