A nice side story
peterfmodel12 March 2020
While there is some plot progression, its minor. The main focus is a nice side arc where Violet becomes involved in the personal life of a fellow class friend. Its surprisingly captivating and I found the end excellent. As for the plot progression I will only deal with the origins of Violets here as I am not going to provide any spoilers. We know the Violet is a highly effective fighting machine, in the previous episode she easily overpowers a man much larger than her, with barely any effort. This makes me wonder why they released her in the world; she could clearly become very dangerous if she went rouge. ON the other hand we know she is a secret project, so it could be only Gilbert, now dead, Claudia and Giberts brother knows anything about Violet. I will watch for this in future episodes. This is highly addictive and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Heartfelt and thoughtful

The third episode of Violet Evergarden doesn't advance the plot much but tells a lovely side story. Like the previous two episodes, the visuals, soundtrack, and direction all provide a thoughtful atmosphere that excels at bringing the heartfelt emotions across.

I ordinarily prefer series with at least some action in them. Violet Evergarden is a complete change of pace, something for the heart and mind. I found this episode particularly compelling.
