Interesting visuals start Game of Kings and the journey is centered on Crabtree and his smart and feisty dancer/paramour, Nina. They are as excellent as always and the episode is fun to watch for the chess-playing most of all, but the mystery itself is pretty uninspired and bland and the resolution fell more than a little flat. There just wasn't much reason to care for the politics to the characters involved in them. Our final play of the game goes back to the interactions of the characters which is a welcomed close.
