Nifty making of doc
Woodyanders24 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This 43-minute behind the scenes doc covers a lot of interesting and informative ground on the making of the low-budget indie sci-fi thriller "Defective." Director Reese Eveneshen candidly talks about having to shoot the picture in various blocks of time because there wasn't enough money to shoot it all at once. Moreover, the suits for the Keepers of the Peace were originally going to look more like SWAT team outfits and weren't finished until the first day that they were needed in the movie (they also required constant repairs throughout the shooting of the movie). In addition, practical effects were used as much as possible. We also learn that the second block of shooting was done in a warehouse, a paintball court was used as the location for the training ground, and the character of Drugan was recast with an actress playing the part instead. Worth a watch for fans of the film.
