Berenthal rules but...
songod-950034 February 2019
Berenthal indeed owns the character of Frank Caste\Punisher. No question. However the rest is pretty standard fare with cardboard cut out bad guys n' gals

Beth is \was a solid good match for Frank and a good character. Rachel is annoying. Just plain annoying. I'd rather watch Frank protect Beth and her son than bother with a lying ungrateful wrench.

Billy Russo has not yet manifested as the villain Jigsaw. With 12 episodes I imagine he will mid-way and the series will shift focus. Maybe the Rachel horsepoop will be resolved, Frank will check back in with Beth, and then boom Russo!

It is just starting... got a weird feeling about it.
juanbks1519 January 2019
Episode two of season two of The Punisher.

After a killer season premiere, where we see our Frank helping a girl in serious trouble, we got here: Frank dealing with a rebel and annoying kid.

Yeah, it's been only two episodes and this mysterious girl already pissed me off too many times. All we know is it's all about some photos the kid has, and the people who are trying to catch her is big. Nothing more. Madani and Billy are back on this one, and I am really curious about Bill this time and what's really in his mind.

As we all know, the first season was amazing but it went slow at the middle of it and I has the feeling this is going to happen again. Too bad, right? Plus, my God that kid... I hope they solve this story quick and later center only on Jigsaw.

Episode two and I'm not sure still where this second season is headed, would like to at least know what the girls running from. She's a bit annoying too, like where are you going to go?

Who writes these female characters?
kingsx_646 September 2019
All in all It's a great series, and I will continue to watch. But regardless if it's Daredevil or The Punisher, almost every female character is written the same. Egotistical, self-important and willing to get everybody killed because THEY want what THEY want. Consequences be damned. Or is this simply writers confusing arrogance with strength

There's plenty to enjoy in this hard punching second episode
DVD_Connoisseur19 January 2019
"Fight or Flight" is another solid episode. Where "The Punisher" is more interesting than some other comic book characters is that he's a normal human being. We see Frank in an awkward position during the pre-titles scene; he's bent double in the bathroom with lead in a very awkward place. Ouch.

Floriana Lima plays the sexy psychiatrist for Jigsaw whilst the beautiful Amber Rose Revah is excellent as the ever-so-slightly unhinged Madani.

Josh Stewart is the new Big Bad of Season 2 and he's an excellent psychopath. Every scene in which he appears is spine-tinglingly tense.

Building the jigsaw
Barry_Garrick20 January 2019
This episode demonstrates why, in my opinion, this series will never reach the heights of Daredevil. While the action and choreography can be just as good at times, the story tends to linger and each episode doesn't progress the plot enough to stand by itself. Episodes 1-10 in season 1 had a similar issue before exploding into action in the final 3 episodes.

Also the supporting cast here, often leaves a lot to be desired as it is always very noticeable when Bernthal is off screen. However, it is far too early for me to judge the new characters so I'll have to wait and see.

Fight or Flight
bobcobb30120 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Frank Castle is a flawed individual, and the show does not try to hide it. Here he did a lot of rough and villainous things, but it is all for the greater good. Another good shootout at the end, but more importantly it was entertaining from start to finish, which you cannot necessarily say for the season premiere.

Logic??
m_braemer20 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
So how exactly did they find the punisher and the girl? Did they search all motels in a 1000 mile radius from the bar?? So Lucky that he checked in under the name Castiglioni?

That is BS.

And the Girl is annoying.

Broken pieces (Short review)
highmarksreviews10 May 2019
Hindered by the introduction of an underwhelming character and some progression loss, "Fight or Flight" dialled it down to focus on some otherwise compelling drama.

Slower, but holds the attention
Leofwine_draca24 February 2022
A slower episode, this one, more focused on character building and a lot of it set in a motel room. It has its moments and still holds the attention throughout.

Yawn

So bored. What a filler episode... I'm having flashbacks of Game of Thrones. The Rachel character is extremely annoying. So many characters seem like they are tired of acting.

what a huge disappointment from 1st to 2nd Season
joshgibbs-3527620 January 2019
I must say i took me a while to get used Jon Bernthal casting as the Punisher but i eventually warmed up to it in the first season. Now the second season is a complete mess. Ben Barnes (Billy Russo) acting is worse than Keanu Reeve!! It is just horrible with his constant head and eyes movement and the terrible scars that don't match the amount of damage The Punisher made on his face at the end of 1st season. Anyhow no to go off on Billy but that piece just ruined the story. The new villain is Jon Pilgrim working for another dude. Josh Stewart does a good job acting and bringing this odd combo of religion and psychosis into this subtle but highly interesting character. The rest is just bunch meaningless conversation and over-the-top acting. I experimented watching ep 2 thru 5 by zipping thru every few minutes to only catch fight scenes and tit bit of conversations between main characters. I was able to watch three episodes in 11 minutes and did not miss an iota of the story or action after I went back and watching full episodes. That should tell you that the plot and story line and character building is just meaningless in this season. It is a braindead plot, uninteresting villains (except for Jon Pilgrim) and way way over-the-top acting. Even the action scenes are not as good as the first season. In one episode he is running around the trees in the dark shooting bad guys. Seriously shooting sitting ducks in the dark.... But that the essence of this second season
