Abby Sciuto will be missed
CrimeDrama115 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Unfortunately, I have no personal connection to the military (not my choice) so I didn't become interested in NCIS until I stayed home to stay safe because of the pandemic. I knew about the drama surrounding Pauley Perrette before developing an interest in recording and watching NCIS episodes. I really like Abby Sciuto. She was much more of a daughter to Gibbs than Ziva. Abby has a look that I've always liked and she is completely devoted to Gibbs and his team. No TV network broadcasts NCIS seasons and episodes in order so it got confusing but I really liked the first two seasons with the quick addition of Caitlyn Todd to the team. The way she was written off the show at the end of season 2 angered me a great deal and I should have stopped watching the show altogether. Just thinking about how often DiNozzo was a jerk and yet stayed on the team for over a decade angers me a great deal too. It was a huge relief when he finally left. Bishop's exit was a negative but Knight essentially replacing her was a saving grace. I was glad Gibbs finally left. What hasn't he done anyway? I like the team the way it is now in season 19. Parker is cool. It's weird seeing Mark Harmon in the opening credits and voicing the message at the end, "stay tuned for scenes from our next episode" but CBS is butchering segues into commercial breaks (all shows) and cut off Harmon's line at the end of the episode on March 14, 2022. It is brutal.

Date with Destiny
bobcobb30130 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
It seemed like they were running short on time to wrap things up in this episode and sure enough it will carry over to next season. A plot device this show often uses, but one that feels like a letdown.

It wasn't the best crafted backstory for Sloane and yet it was an exciting episode. Hopefully the conclusion is more of the same.

And the 15th season ends on a fine note!
harrykivi18 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
After "Two steps back", I really thought that was all of the 15th season, but we got "Fallout"- very forgettable entry and "Date with destiny", which is better than most of the episodes in the 15th seasons, but still not great .

Let's start with good.

. The acting, directing, music are mostly very good. Finally we learn about Sloane's backstory! The story did engage, even though it could have had a better outcome.

Because..

. Maria Bello doesn't always maintain her characters nervousness, which can come off as overacting. The humor as well does not work as it should at times and feels awkward. The biggest issue for me, is the fact that the season ended on another cheap cliffhanger, which was not pleasant to see at all.

Overall, a fine episode, but could have been a lot better.

Maybe the worst NCIS episode I've ever seen
GLArm10 July 2018
The main reason this is the worst episode I've ever seen has to do with Maria Bello's portrayal of Jack Sloane. The character has never seemed believable or likable to me. She seems to overact the part. So instead of enjoying the episode, it's more like watching a bad play.

The other negative thing is the new forensic scientist, Casey, who mainly just makes me cringe.

The show ended with a character I actually do care about, which was probably the main redeeming feature of the episode. The interaction between McGee, as an admiral's son, and the commander of the ship was also good.
