People seem annoyed that the show is a musical and it uses the same animation as Bob's Burgers. Firstly, it was made by one of the creators of Bob's Burgers so it seems obvious to me they would use the same animation style, all of Matt Groening's shows (Simpsons, Futurama, Disenchantment) all use the same animation style and I don't know why it should even be an issue anyway. Secondly, it is very clearly a musical but this still surprises people. If you strongly dislike musicals the show isn't for you and that's okay but if you don't mind them then I'd say give it a go. It's a fun show with great characters, a supportive loving family, Daveed Diggs and some great stories. I believe this show deserves a much higher rating than the one it has. I guess people just feel very strongly about singing...?

Okay, as a Bob's burgers fan, I have to say I really enjoy the whole awkward-but-loving family backstory and the songs are catchy as hell. Season one had a fantastic backstory / plot that made the whole thing fast paced and truly amazing, but somehow they dropped it in season 2 and even though I love the characters, my sparkling joy has been tainted and is slowly wearing me out. Come on Central Park, find back your soul !

Anyone who is dissing this in the reviews is either comparing it to Bob's Burgers or hates musicals. Those are not valid reasons to significantly impact the rating of this show. This show is some of the most fun I've had in weeks.

Let me start by saying right off the bat that this is an animated MUSICAL series. If musicals are NOT your thing, please...DON'T WATCH THIS!! I've noticed several negative reviews here from people who hate that "there is too much singing" in the show. Don't ruin the ratings here for a new, original series just because it's a genre (musicals) that you don't even like. I don't like reality shows so, you know what? I don't watch them and therefore don't share my opinion on any of them. Now... for those who DO LIKE musicals (like myself) this show, in just two episodes, has tapped into something that has not really been explored much outside of Disney animated movies. We've had plenty of animated series that use adult humor but how many have used the musical as their primary format? Not only is Central Park laugh-out-loud funny, the musical numbers are actually really, really good! Almost all the songs are infectiously catchy to the point that you might just find yourself searching for the soundtrack in Apple Music or Spotify (I know I will). Watching this I felt like I was watching a great Broadway musical, not an animated tv show. Please ignore the negative reviews here because they are speaking from their bias against an entire genre. This is a hilarious show with surprisingly well sung musical numbers that will have you rewatching when it's all done.

'Central Park' is an animated musical series set in New York City where a family of caretakers who live and work in Central Park, end up saving the park, and basically the world.

The voice casting, including Kristen Bell, Tituss Burgess, Daveed Diggs, Josh Gad, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Stanley Tucci, and more, are perfect; the animation is definitely the same as Bob's Burgers; the plot is incredible; the musical numbers are phenomenal; the setting is great; and the characters are magnificent!

If you have seen 'Bob's Burgers', then you'll be recommended to see 'Central Park'!

While I am a big fan of the type of humor and art style of Central Park, it is not as funny as Loren Bouchard's original creation Bob's Burgers. It doesn't make it a bad show. I still find it to be enjoyable, but the bar has been set and Central Park can definitely not live up to it.

My main issues are the constant singing. Even for someone who does enjoy it, I think the amount of songs is too high. I also think the characters are not as likeable as in Bob's. The family is not as fun and I am not a fan of the villain, as she really just is a mean woman and there is nothing more to it. I do like the struggle between the family/park ranger and her, however, and how it is weaved together with the background of the episodic story arcs - but the stories on their own are also not as memorable as in Bob's. While I can easily remember some situations the Belcher family got into, it is really hard to remember any fun situations the Tillermans got into. And that, I think, is a big problem for a sitcom.

The detailed background drawings and colour palletes are superb and a real pleasure to the eyes. As I am a fan of Bouchards style, I will be watching all seasons to come, but as Bouchards second creation, it dissapoints in the sense that it is not as great as Bob's Burgers.

The musical element is an absolute stand out, the casting is perfect, the episodic stories are good as well as the park vs development villain storyline that ties it together. Smooth quality animation and natural dialogue, with all the silly quirkiness you'd expect from a show animated like Bob's Burgers. It's early but I feel confident to recommend the watch.

Omg I love this show and I have only seen one episode. the songs are catchy and it is very funny at times ,the humour can also be unexpected at times , and I love that!!!!! the characters are great and likeable. GO WATCH THIS SHOW. EPISODES 1 AND 2 ARE AVAILABLE NOW ON Apple TV

Great start. Bob's Burgers quality writing with a well composed soundtrack so far. This is a musical, and it's a pretty good one so far (2 episodes available at time of review).

Some people were turned off from the show simply because it is a musical. That's like saying I would have liked fast and furious if not for all the cars. The musical is a neat part of the structure of the show, and the songs are both clever in their lyrics and consistent with general musical theater tones. The show is clever and funny and unique. And while it might not speak to an array of people who just have no penchant for song in the show, for those that do, this is done well.

The plot is pretty interesting, but in true musical fashion, half of each episode is spent singing about things that don't further the plot along. If you are into musicals, this show might be for you, but if you are looking for something more like Bob's Burgers, you are better off checking out The Great North instead.

The music is great, the characters are loveable out the gate, and I'm really looking forward to watching the rest of the season. I'm already on that first episode soundtrack on Spotify.

Also this show is an ANIMATED MUSICAL SERIES so it's a MUSICAL, like more than one song per episode. It seems self explanatory when you read the synopsis for the show as well as when you watch the trailer for the show. If you're not into that quirky, folk song, type musicals (or musicals in general) then just don't watch.

Yes, it's a musical, so songs are expected. This is not why the 6/10 rating. First, this show shouldn't even be compared to Bob's Burgers - they're the real thing. The storyline here is all over the place, the characters are just lame and beyond stupid - all of them for that matter except for Bitsy, that one makes me laugh every time (even with her songs). There are too many things wrong with this show... and yes, I agree with the reviews that state Season 1 was better than 2 - no brainer. It really is a shame, a show with such potential to be this MEH it's a real disappointment / missed opportunity from the creators of BB.

I appreciate what they're trying to do, but personally, something just feels off. The show's pacing is strange and I feel that at times the characters facial expressions just seem awkward. There's something odd about the whole thing that I just can't put my finger on. The characters are nice but having them sing just feels completely out of place. The second episode had me debating to click off mid way. But I'll keep watching, it's good to try and make something different, but as of now, I'm not a big fan.

I can't say I'd normally call myself a big fan of musicals, but I have to admit I really love the musical angle of this animated series. Love the characters, interesting setting (family living in Central Park) and plot thus far. Funny, clever, and endearing. Great voice actors and love the music. Good luck hearing the song "Weirdos Make Great Superheroes" and not having it stuck in your head for days (the soundtrack is available on Apple Music). A great addition to the Apple TV+ lineup!

It's a new show. Exciting storyline. Just not a fan of musicals. I've never understood why is there a need to randomly start singing.

If you can't stand it at all. It will annoy you because it happens quite often and with every episode

WORD OF WARNING - READ THIS BEFORE YOU WATCH THIS SHOW: If you're the kind of person that found the singing in The Bob's Burgers Movie to be in any way 'annoying' and hated the songs in that movie, then AVOID Central Park like the plague, as for you this is about 100 times WORSE.

If those of you (who find the singing in The Bob's Burgers Movie to be annoying) stupidly decide to watch Central Park, then don't say I didn't warn you, and I say have fun losing your sanity.

Never watched Bob's Burger's for years because the commercials just disinterested appeal to me, even though I'm a huge animation fan.

After finally watching Bob's Burger's I became a HUGE and had to go back and watch them all in order, more than once.

Seeing the trailer for Central Park I was somewhat interested. Right of the bat though I noticed they were recycling some of the voice actors as they sounded too similar even in the short commercial.

I actually started watching only after after the third episode due to diminishing content, even on YouTube, during the pandemic.

Sure enough many of the voices are too similar on Central Park to Bob's Burgers Additionally many of the character traits are also similar to Bob's Burgers. End credits with the singing as well.

It's almost a bizzaro alternative reality version of Bob's Burgers. After watching all of the Bob's episodes, some several times, it's just impossible to see the countless similarities. Perhaps they did it to have a sense of familiarity, or built on audience? Who knows. But if they would have not recycled any of the voices or character traits.

I won't any further into detail but if you watch Bobs with any regularity you'll way more in common between the two shows than separate.

Additionally while I love that Josh Gad is on the show I don't like the narration, the 4th way breaking, or the excessive musical numbers.

I'd rather watch Bob's any day. Even Simpson's which has grown tiring I'd still rather watch over Central Park. I'm not going to stop watching CP , for now. But I also don't want it to ruin Bob's for me with all the similarities. Besides once we come more out of the pandemic my regular shows, and many other options will be back in production and there will be even less reason to watch Central Park.

It could have been outstanding with some initial tweaking. Instead it's just ehh. So far hasn't even made me laugh, or even grin.

If you hate great musicals you will hate this show! For everyone else this is terrific! This is the first "animated" series I can stand to watch. Josh Gad is doing an extraordinary job!

Super light, great humor and great musical numbers that fit perfectly

I'm not picky at all, and I'm only a few episodes in, but this is one of the worst animated shows I've watched. Huge fan of Bob's Burgers, this just feels like a lazy, over done attempt to replicate that but it lacks the charm and connections between characters.

Maybe it gets better, but WOOF so far.

I see a lot of people negatively reviewing this show because it's a musical.. which is the purpose of the show...? Well I wanted to say that this is a show that takes time to let the characters grow on you. By the end of season two, the characters have quite a bit of depth to them and show a lot of potential for more growth. Seriously, this is a show you got to give more than the first two episodes. It isn't the same humor as Bob's Burgers, but the characters are just as endearing. As with any musical, you won't like ever single song, but this has a pretty strong soundtrack where you will definitely find a song in here you like. Season 2 is definitely a lot better than season 1 and it makes me so excited for season 3.

The great thing about this show is it's packed with talent! However we don't need a Disney level song EVERY five minutes... it's great once in a while but 4 in a 30 minute episode drags the show out without really developing the story necessarily. Sometimes the songs just seem arbitrary and unnecessary. Otherwise I love the show. Great talent, great premise, just lagging in story development because I have to sit through long musical numbers about small things.

I cant finish an episode without my mind drifting. Incredibly boring.

Really a see worthy show, keeps a high pace and even higher production value. The music in the show are well written and have its good laughs.
