Typical French horror movie
searchanddestroy-117 January 2020
French movie industry has not made many horror flicks if you compare with other countries. But when they do, it nearly always takes place in the countryside. This one reminded me some of those such as Serge Leroy's LA TRAQUE - but I admit that was not actually a horror film - Fabrice du Weltz's CALVAIRE, Antoine Blossier's LA TRAQUE, and a couple of others. well this one is a story of manhunt; a car driver who, in the countryside, after killing a dog by accident with his sedan, is captured and tracked down by hunters. Of course, everything is not explained, but this is an excellent little film, splendidly shot and filmed. I am sure we'll find this director soon in a long length feature.

many clues

It reminds Calvaire by Fabrice du Weltz. Its generosity in clues to interpretate the story is one of virtues. But it is far to be convincing. So, the cinematography remains the main good thing in this case.
