This is great. So much better than the other pansy late night show hosts

Interesting, hilarious, mostly great guests, perhaps with the exception of Fonda and Letterman. There's not a lot a lot to say about it. It's basically just like a podcast, and that's great, because it is all about the discussion.

Norm is at his best. Before you judge Adam Eget, please watch his old Norm MacDonald Live spots...Adam is doing exactly what Norm wants him to do.

Norm interrupts and has horrible (or genius?) segues between topics which is his trademark. That's what makes it different and funny. Even when he interrupts, the guests love him.

I only hope he gets Gilbert Gotfried on ASAP.

Norm is so authentic and natural that he brings out the humanity of his guests better than any other talk show host. Although the show is heavy with irony, irreverence, and hilarious non sequiturs, there remains a genuine warmth between Norm and his guests (and to a lesser extent his sidekick Adam Egret, who masterfully plays the role of the good-natured inflatable clown punching bag). You can tell Norm's guests truly like him and some even revere him for his incomprehensible comedic genius.

Unfortunately, like all geniuses, Norm is often misunderstood. Many can't make sense of him because, like a force of nature, he is unpredictable, and is often indifferent to politically correct pieties. This is refreshing to most honest souls, but is anathema to the puritanical ideologues who currently dominate the media. For this reason, Norm will likely never have mass appeal. For the same reason, he is a true artist with integrity whose legacy will outlive most of his peers.

For those not familiar with Norm's humor and personality, the show may be somewhat puzzling at first. I urge you to stick with it. He grows on you, and you feel yourself and your own humor growing along the way.

I know that not everyone gets Norm. If you don't get him this is a show that you should avoid at all costs. That's fine.

To me, Norm is the finest comedian alive today and his uniquely weird, warm personality adds immeasurably to his appeal.

I found myself watching every episode with a sappy, happy grin on my face interspersed with bouts of laughing out loud. Norm effortlessly charms guests he didn't know well, like Jane Fonda, Drew Barrymore, Michael Keaton, Judge Judy and M. Night Shyamalan. For friends and colleagues like David Spade, David Letterman, Chevy Chase and Lorne Michaels there is lots of entertainment to be derived from their pointed teasing and joking around. The episode with Billy Joe Shaver, one of Norm's best friends, is just delightful.

A must see for fans of Norm.

3 episodes in and I'm so glad they captured the same feeling that Norm Macdonald Live had. I really hope a second season is ordered because I'll keep Netflix with commercials if it means more Norm.

One of the few shows where you can't take your eyes off the screen. A great continuation from Norm MacDonald Live this sadly shorter versions leaves you wanting more and wishing each guest had more time. Norm seems in a genuine way to be able to connect not just with comedians but all his guests. With only 10 shows in the can I am going to need more Norm soon

This show is better than most interview shows out there right now. It's kind of like a choose your own adventure interview for the guests. Norm allows them to be as serious and/or as silly as they want by asking good questions and injecting comedy throughout. It also has great production value. My only complaint is that the jokes segment at the end could be a tad bit longer. (To be honest, I wish each episode were longer.) Norm is a very knowledgeable guy and adds a lot of depth to each interview.

Continuing the same formula as his podcast with a shorter runtime and a little tighter. I noticed in the credits David Letterman consultation. I'm really enjoying this so far and hope Netflix don't wuss out on a show that doesn't pander for general appeal though does have great unique content.

I hope the voice of the fans is enough to keep this going as Norm has plenty.

I've only liked Norm MacDonald since I saw Hitler's Dog and though it was the funniest stand up I've ever seen. It was random but I loved it. When I first started watching his interview with David Spade I didn't know what to think. It was so bare bones, no music, no laugh track, nothing. And I thought it sucked basically. But after awhile it started to make me laugh quite a bit.

I then looked up some reviews online and I really think that the reviewers missed the mark. I think it was the New Yorker I might be wrong but they I think misinterpreted David Spades entire interview they made it sound like he hated being there. As far as I can tell Spade and MacDonald know each other pretty well I don't think there was any misinterpretation at all. And Spade got funnier as the interview went in and at the end of it I was really enjoying the show. It's very different from what we are all used to, like I said, very bare bones, but when you get past that it actually is pretty funny. I'm only about half way through the Barrymore episode and they seem to have hit their stride.

I'm gonna watch the rest of them and see how it goes, but so far it seems pretty good. If you liked Hitler's Dog you should give it a shot, it's way off the beaten path but Norm is pretty funny in the way he doesn't seem to ever know what's going on. It could be an act but damn he really sells it if it is

I have always been a fan of Norm - stand-up, SNL, sitcoms, David Letterman and Howard Stern appearances, sports show host... But I think this is the best. He is good at adjusting his style to the guest. The first episode with David Spade seemed pretty loose, like just a group of guys laughing it up in his basement. He was great with Drew Barrymore, who I also love, and then I was surprised to see Judge Judy and Jane Fonda as guests. He was so respectful to them, and seemed to know exactly how far he could go with his jokes. I also like how his sidekick Adam Egret does not jump in and interrupt, like some talk show sidekicks. He doesn't have a studio audience to tell you when you should be laughing, so when they are funny, they are actually funny. But, the interviews are actually pretty interesting, too. They talk about things that I think people actually want to know about, that the guests dare not talk about on a regular network talk show. Keep it up, Norm. You're doing just fine.

This is the neutered version of Norm MacDonald Live. I love Norm and I loved NML but this show is lame. I really hope the second season is funny because the first season suuuuucked.

Yeah....Norm is a fun guy... but, I agree with the others who said that he barely allows his guests to speak. It's strange that this is rated so highly...the David Spade one, David continuously attempted to say jokes, to say things and Norm just steam rolls over him. Based on everyone else's reviews, I am sure this will be marked as "unhelpful." Which will confuse me since what I am saying is true... anyway. Letterman's Netflix special was better and so are Fallon, Conan and Kimmel. Norm ought to take a page from them.

Been watching since the beginning and I'm so thrilled Netflix picked him up.. I binged all episodes today, perfect 10 show!! Great interview, interactions, and most important JOKES!!!!

It's so refreshing to watch a show where funny people can have unscripted and unfiltered conversations with each other. My only complaint is that the episodes aren't long enough!

I am Norm MacDonald Live fan but this is different. Guests are great and maybe more interesting than in Live. Norm is funnier than ever. Biggest difference from Live is that Norm has cleaned his act and became more funny (because of shorter format probably). In last few days read reviews and apologies of apologies of apologies and twits and watched and listened interviews, podcasts, radio shows but there is nothing of that here. I guarantee that bad reviews were about his non PC comedy from Live and not from this Show. Sometimes I actually doubt that reviewers watched this Show. 'm so happy for Norm. His "straight" performance is so much better than I expected.

As a fan of Norm, I expected it to be funny , not this charming. It is like a warm bath. Both lovely and refreshing. Cant wait for the second season!

If you're someone who likes irreverence or non-sequitur humor you probably already like Norm.

Norm is deceptively intelligent, even if he pretends otherwise and you can see he is having fun.

The show is similar to the podcast but more streamlined. Don't get the long Norm Macdonald story jokes, but the attitude is the same. Adam Eget is there to be abused, but I think he is a component.

For those who love political comedy ir don't abide adhd, non-sequitur, or ironic humor, you probably won't like this, but the again, you probably already know you don't like Norm.

I am certainly biased, as Norm has been brilliant to me since the mid 90s when I watched SNL mostly for his Weeken Update.

One thing I think Norm has added to his repertoire over the years is his deceptive charm, which can be seen in the Drew Barrymore and Jane Fonda interviews especially

Great interviews from a funny, goofy and sometimes wistful Norm Macdonald. Like all interview shows, it really depends on how interesting you find the guests, but the loose, informal format helps keep everything entertaining. I can't recommend it enough. Quit dickin' around on the internet and go watch it!

This show has a great tone to it, as a longtime fan of Norm I'm happy to have something on Netflix I can rewatch.

A couple of episodes are good. The others are okay. The garbage jokes bit at the end does not work. They are not stupid-funny, just not funny. It is something that the audience simply must endure.

For the record, Norm's sidekick has one trait that explodes on the screen when asking Judge Judy a question about her book on stupid people. It is something that you can't make up for by wearing three-piece suits. In the history of television, there is no other talk show sidekick that can touch the guy in this singular area.

It took me a few episodes to realize that it really isn't a comedy. Norm Macdonald is one of the funniest stand-up comedians I've ever seen. I love watching his appearances on talk shows like Conan and Fallon. I also really enjoyed the Norm Macdonald Live show. If you're a person who likes all of those things. and think that you will like this show just because it is Norm, well you will be disappointed. This is not Norm in his element--telling jokes, with satisfying punchlines and such. This is a talk show. Period. I would say that this would only be enjoyable for someone who really likes the guest. If you are lukewarm on the guests, I would say that you would probably not like this show. It is not very funny at all. If you are expecting jokes, well there are 3 jokes every episode. Ones that are written on note-cards. Norm reads one, Adam reads one, and the guest reads one. Those are pretty much the only jokes in the entire program. So, since this is not a comedy, as it is not funny. I have to then grade this show based on how good of a talk-show host Norm is. And, well he is not a very good host. He frequently interrupts his guests, which would be funny if this is a comedy, but as I established, I don't think it is. Therefore, interrupting is very awkward in this context. Furthermore, his co-host Adam is basically worthless. He literally just sits there and laughs. The only time that he ever speaks is when he is prodded for a question by Norm. Which, overall, creates a pretty awkward atmosphere. Ultimately, as much as I like Norm, I have to give this a pretty negative review. The show fails as a comedy, and then fails on the talk show aspect. The only way I would recommend this show, is if you really like the guest that is on--because some of the guests give some interesting stories. But, overall, I was disappointed.

That about sums it up. No real flow, very hard to follow, the interviews do not go anywhere.
