What a whirlwind. “Chucky” Season 3 let the killer doll loose in the White House, where he unleashed multiple bloodbaths, temporarily gained control of the nuclear weapons, and even faced his greatest fear, death, along with the wrath of Damballa. The season finale, appropriately titled “Final Destination,” has a lot of ground to cover, yet Chucky (Brad Dourif) is still running amok in the spirit realm while Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) hopes for one final Hail Mary to escape death. Luckily, the super-sized episode packs in the revelations while tying up the season’s loose ends and paying tribute to the franchise’s past. It all makes for a satisfying capper to another delightfully unhinged season.
While “Final Destination” hits the ground running with explosive action, it also doesn’t waste any time exploring the aftermath of Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur) choosing to die temporarily in the hopes of finding Caroline (Carina Battrick...

The third season of Don Mancini’s “Chucky” wraps up with a super-sized final episode this Wednesday, and Syfy has provided us with a sneak peek clip to get you ready this morning.
The Season 3 finale is fittingly titled “Final Destination,” and Jake’s taking a trip to the Spirit Realm to make contact with Charles Lee Ray. His goal? To extract information about Caroline’s whereabouts and kill Chucky once and for all. Watch the clip below for a preview, which suggests that Jake’s going to have to grapple with more than just Chucky on the other side.
In the finale, “Jake faces his demons and a new type of evil in the quest to find Caroline.”
We’ll also be introduced to Chucky’s (literal) maker in this week’s “Final Destination,” with John Waters returning to the franchise to play Wendell Wilkins, the creator of the Good Guys!

With Chucky Season 3 coming to an end this Wednesday, I had the opportunity to catch up with Don Mancini! We talked all about the second half of Chucky Season 3, including expanding the franchise mythology, writing for the series' recurring characters, and old Chucky's nod to a Mario Bava classic!
Whether it's the films or the TV series, I've always appreciated how you've continued to evolve and expand the mythology in a really organic way. Now in this season, we have old-man Chucky, the afterlife, and more. Can you talk about your approach to expanding the world of Chucky?
Don Mancini: It's a lot of fun! The White House setting is something I've been interested in for a long time, and not even necessarily for a Chucky project. I did a lot of research over the course of several years, and I knew that the White House was a great...

The wild and crazy third season of Don Mancini’s “Chucky” comes to an end with one more brand new episode this week, and the Season 3 finale is fittingly titled “Final Destination.”
We’ll be introduced to Chucky’s (literal) maker in this week’s “Final Destination,” with John Waters returning to the franchise to play Wendell Wilkins, the creator of the Good Guys.
But that’s not all. We’re also going on a twisted trip into Chucky’s Spirit Realm…
Last week’s second-to-last episode was a shocker, with Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) being put to death by lethal injection and Jake (Zackary Arthur) agreeing to a lethal injection of his own. Jake’s plan is to temporarily die so he can pay a visit to Charles Lee Ray in the Spirit Realm, planning to extract information about Caroline’s whereabouts and kill Chucky once and for all.

Only one episode remains in Season 3 of “Chucky,” and what a bloody road it’s been so far, especially for actor Devon Sawa. The actor has now officially died twice on screen this season, pulling double duty as President James Collins and body double Randall Jenkins.
If you thought Chucky’s ruthless eye-gouging of the President was bloody, this week’s Episode 7 traps Randall Jenkins in an elevator that feels straight out of an iconic horror classic.
Bloody Disgusting spoke with series creator Don Mancini and actor Devon Sawa about that ultra-bloody death sequence and how the actor inspires Mancini’s writing on the series.
Mancini explains, “Devon’s a bit of a muse. Idle Hands and Final Destination is where my Devon Sawa fandom started, like a lot of people; although yours may have started with Casper. I was a bit too old for that. But it’s really...

Warning: Spoilers ahead for “Chucky” Season 3: Episode 6 & Episode 7.
Chucky’s greatest fear, dating all the way back to his introduction in 1988’s Child’s Play, has been death. The serial killer transferred his soul, via voodoo, to a Good Guy doll to avoid it. This week’s brand new seventh episode of “Chucky” Season 3, “There Will Be Blood,” saw the ghost of Charles Lee Ray confront his greatest fear and meet his maker, Damballa. It also brought Chucky voice actor Brad Dourif back to the screen in a shocking turn of events.
Episode 6 saw Chucky commit to going down in a blaze of glory by using the saved eyeball he gouged from President James Collins (Devon Sawa) to gain access to the nuclear missiles. It created an intense standoff in the launch room, with the episode seemingly killing Chucky for good. Except, the White House is home to many restless spirits,...

An electrician, a priest, and the President.
No, that's not the start of a joke. It's just three out of the five characters already played by Devon Sawa on Chucky.
Anyone even slightly familiar with the franchise is already aware of Chucky's constant and imminent return with each installment.
However, the almost meta resurrection of Devon Sawa with each season was an unexpected surprise.
If you've been along for the insane killer doll ride for all three seasons, then you know by now that no adult character, whether main, recurring, or extra, is ever safe in the Chucky universe.
And much like Kenny McCormick from South Park, no adult character is more expected to die than those played by Sawa.
The show stands out with its over-the-top and campy kills in a franchise that centers around a possessed doll with a lust for bloody macabre.

Not even death can slow Chucky in “There Will Be Blood,” the penultimate episode of “Chucky” Season 3. With the killer receiving a mortal blow in the last episode, Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) can now take full advantage of the White House’s bizarre supernatural purgatory, leaving him free to continue his current reign of terror as a ghost. While that spells trouble for Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Bjorgvin Arnarson), and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), it makes for an outrageously satisfying bloodbath heading into next week’s finale.
“There Will Be Blood” covers a lot of ground in short order, with Charles Lee Ray confronting his maker over his failures before he can continue his current path of destruction. Lexy, Jake, and Devon continue their desperate bid to find Lexy’s sister, which means seeking answers from the afterlife. They’re in luck, considering Warren Pryce (Gil Bellows) enlists...

Just two episodes remain in Season 3 of “Chucky,” with the second-to-last episode airing this Wednesday night on USA & Syfy. It’s titled “There Will Be Blood,” and oh yes there will be.
Last week’s episode was absolutely Insane, with Chucky taking control of the situation room in the White House and attempting to start World War 3. His plan was thwarted, but not before nuking the North Pole. In the wake of launching that missile, Chucky met the true death, his doll body disintegrating into ash like he got Thanos snapped out of existence.
The episode ended with an appearance from Brad Dourif as Charles Lee Ray in his human form, with his spirit now free from the doll and roaming around the haunted White House.
Here’s the official plot synopsis for this week’s episode: “Parapsychologists investigate the disturbances in the White House, while Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) plans her escape.

The Spiderwick Chronicles made its debut on Roku this past Friday and for the show’s press junket, I got to sit down and have a brief but delightful conversation with two of the show’s stars. Since earning a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination upon making his film debut in Miloš Forman's "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," Brad Dourif has been one of cinema's most distinctive character actors. He was utterly heartbreaking as the painfully shy Billy Bibbit in Forman's film, but thereafter he specialized in more unsettling types. Need someone to play a character who's a little creepy, squirrelly, or just flat-out weird? Dourif will likely be at or near the top of your list.
Onscreen, Dourif is probably best known to most moviegoers as the scheming Grima Wormtongue in Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" movies, but he's made, shall we say, quite a killing as the voice of the stab-happy doll Chucky in the "Child's Play" films and, currently, the "Chucky" television series on SyFy and the USA Network.
Like so many great character actors, we've taken Dourif for granted over the years.

More than two decades later, it’s hard to imagine anyone but Devon Sawa playing the titular role in the unforgettable music video for Eminem’s 2000 classic, “Stan,” but the actor has revealed Macaulay Culkin was the first choice to star in the visual.
“They went out to Macaulay Culkin first,” Sawa told Entertainment Tonight in a recent interview. “I think that they wanted him, and he wasn’t available, or didn’t want to do it or whatever.”
Thankfully for Sawa, Dr. Dre (who directed the video) was a fan of his work in Final Destination and suggested him instead. “There happened to be somebody in the casting office that knew somebody who was friends with me, and they called me that way… and it ended up working out pretty good,” Sawa explained, adding that the video was “one of the proudest things I’ve been a part of.

And while last week’s mid-season premiere of “Chucky” indeed did arrive on Peacock last Thursday, this week’s episode – titled “Panic Room” – is currently missing from the service.
So what’s going on here? The official @PeacockTVCare customer service account over on Twitter has been responding to fans who are wondering why they can’t stream this week’s episode of “Chucky” on Peacock, and their answer indicates a shift from the original plan.

Helen makes the move with her 15-year-old fraternal twin boys, Jared and Simon, and her older daughter, Mallory. Shortly after moving to the Spiderwick Estate, Jared discovers a boggart and realizes that magical creatures are real! Brad Dourif has had an incredible acting career that stretches back more than fifty years – and back in the early days of that career, he even earned a “Best Actor in a Supporting Role” Oscar nomination for his performance in the 1975 classic One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Over a decade later, he started playing the role he is best known for, that of Charles Lee Ray, a.k.a. Chucky, a serial killer who uses voodoo to transfer his soul into the body of a doll. Dourif is now 74 years old, so when we hear that he has decided to retire from acting, it’s totally understandable… but while talking about his retirement, Dourif has also made sure to assure fans that his days of Chucky are not over. He will still continue to work on any Chucky projects that might come up.

The story threads converge in “Panic Room,” the sixth episode of “Chucky“ Season 3. In the previous episode, a death row-bound Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) demanded that a dying Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif) “go down in a blaze of glory and take as many with you on your way out.” Considering the last episode also ended with the gruesome eye gouging of President James Collins (Devon Sawa), “Panic Room” plunges the White House into chaos and terror as Chucky lays the groundwork for his most ambitious plan yet.
Warren Pryce (Gil Bellows) continues to reveal his true colors, giving First Lady Charlotte Collins (Lara Jean Chorostecki) no room to grieve, let alone process what’s happened, before he enlists a clean-up crew to cover up the President’s death. Charlotte attempts to shield her children from the truth, even as she can barely hold it together, but finds herself plagued by...

The back half of “Chucky” Season 3 will bring three more episodes to the table in the coming weeks, with “Panic Room” set to air this Wednesday, April 17.
Syfy has provided us with a sneak peek clip from the new episode this afternoon, wherein a wheelchair-bound Chucky shares his renewal of purpose with Henry. Check it out below.
“Everyone dies, kid. Some of us more than once. But I realize now, the point is, to make a difference while we’re here. To leave a mark,” a wheezing, coughing Chucky explains to Henry.
In the mid-season premiere last week, a dying Chucky placed a call to an imprisoned Tiffany, wherein Tiffany encouraged the killer doll to go out in a blaze of glory. That advice is sure to make these final three episodes of “Chucky” Season 3 quite explosive, as Chucky has nothing left to lose. And he wants to remind the...

If you had to choose which horror movie villain you could outlast, chances are Chucky would be at the top of most peoples’ lists. Come on, he’s like two and a half feet tall, how could you not win? Why not just kick him across the room? Well, this can work every now and then, but Chucky is one diabolical doll and sooner or later he’ll find a way to get you. But imagine this gets swapped: Chucky is the oversized one matching wits and knives with someone – or something – a fraction of his size. That’s just the scenario Devon Sawa pictures, wondering what it would be like if the hand from Idle Hands were to take on the Good Guy.

Fans of the iconic killer doll rejoice, as the mastermind behind the Child’s Play franchise, Don Mancini, has confirmed he is crafting another cinematic chapter for Chucky. The news of a new film installment is particularly thrilling for those who’ve followed the murderous doll’s journey from its inception. Chucky season 3 had to be split in half due to the writers and actors strikes, with the first four episodes (read our review Here) airing on Syfy and USA Network (as well as the Peacock streaming service) back in October. Production resumed at the end of November, and the second half of the season will begin airing on April 10th – so now that we’re closing in on the end of season 3, series creator Don Mancini is, of course, fielding questions about the possibility of a fourth season. During an interview with The Direct, Mancini confirmed that season 4 has already been pitched!
When the subject of season 4 came up, Mancini said, “There’s very little I can say about that. I can’t tell you my idea for Season 4, but I’m really excited about it. I already pitched it to the network. So fingers crossed because it’s something I really like to do.

The one thing that has kept Chucky alive over the years isn’t voodoo magic but rather the endless ideas of Don Mancini, who consistently keeps the franchise fresh by placing Chucky into wildly unexpected new situations. We’re now three seasons deep into Mancini’s “Chucky” television series, which currently sees the killer doll rampaging through the White House.
What’s next for Chucky? Mancini recently teased that he’s in the early stages of development on a new movie, but that doesn’t mean he’s out of ideas for the small screen slasher series.
Speaking with The Direct, Mancini makes it clear that “Chucky” Season 4 has not yet been ordered by USA/Syfy, but he’s hopeful and excited about the idea he’s already conjured up.

When the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin comic book started coming out, it was a major hit for Idw Publishing, as well as a major moment in the evolution of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise overall. The comic book was written by Kevin Eastman, Peter Laird, and Tom Waltz, and showed us a dark and grim future in which Michelangelo survived as the only remaining turtle. The story was enormously popular and it seems now that a live-action movie adaptation of the comic book is in the works.
The news comes after last year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem proved to be a major hit, and while Mutant Mayhem was an animated feature, it doesn’t seem like The Last Ronin will go in that same direction.

The wait is now over and it’s time for a new presidential contender, Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif), aka Chucky, who has arrived and is ready to torment another day. After a long hiatus during which the creators divided season 3 into two parts, Don Mancini finally bestows another part of season 3 with four more episodes in its haunting repertoire. Although it seems impossible, Chucky Season 3: Part Two is even crazier and bloodier, as the season takes a spiritual spin.

But the man's foe isn't just the old age: Jake (Zackary Arthur), Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and Devon (Bjorgvin Arnarson) are back and are hellbent on destroying the remains of Chucky's soul for good. After the success of last year’s animated hit film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, Paramount Pictures is keeping turtle power going by putting a new feature project into development.
This one, however, will go beyond the realm of the all-ages material the long-standing property is known for and instead go into gritty, R-rated, territory.
Paramount is developing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, adapting a popular storyline seen in the recent Idw comics, as a live-action feature with the intent of making it for an R-rating.
Tyler Burton Smith, who co-wrote the upcoming R-rated action movie Boy Kills World and who wrote the 2019 iteration of Chucky horror franchise Child’s Play, is penning the script.
Walter Hamada is producing through his 18hz production company as part of his multi-year deal with the studio. Hamada is the former head of DC Films who rose through the ranks at New Line,...

Part two of “Chucky” Season 3 is underway, with last night’s midseason premiere kicking off Chucky’s continued bid for the White House while dealing with a new aging affliction. The midseason premiere also delivered on series creator Don Mancini’s tease of a Chucky vs M3GAN showdown, just not in the way you’d expect.
In “Death Becomes Her,” Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif) wallows over his mortality (when he’s not murdering people), which includes moping about in bed or watching TV. His channel surfing leads him to a string of killer doll horror movies playing, and Chucky’s commentary on his potential rivals will leave you in stitches.
The first film Chucky flips through is 2016’s The Boy, featuring the creepy but prim doll Brahms. After a brief scene of Brahms being cared for by his mother, Chucky dismisses this particular rival with “what a fucking joke.

The Writers Strike really threw a wrench into many productions, with few coming out unscathed. And Season Three of Chucky certainly had a difficult time getting cameras rolling. So they started without creator/showrunner Don Mancini on set and were able to get just four episodes filmed before the Actors joined suit. Now after the strikes have been settled and they were able to finish up the season with their full creative force, we are being treated to the second half of Season Three.
From the suburbs to a reform school to the White House, the series has gone through quite a change. But even still, I’d argue that the heart of what makes Chucky is still there. Heck, this show features some of the most violent kills in the entire franchise, and it’s airing on cable! I was lucky enough to see the second half of Season...

The back half of Don Mancini’s “Chucky“ Season 3 has finally arrived, which means the metaphorical training wheels are off. The first half of the season introduced new slaying grounds for the killer Good Guy doll, thrusting Chucky into the White House with its complicated tenants. Episode 5, “Death Becomes Her,” wastes no time addressing Episode 4’s massive dangling threads while barreling toward what’s sure to be an unpredictable battle for control.
The Halloween bloodbath at the end of Episode 4 did poor President James Collins (Devon Sawa) no favors, both for his career and declining mental health. Mistaking a disguised Chucky (Brad Dourif) for his deceased son Joseph has left him deeply troubled and convinced he’s haunted. First Lady Charlotte Collins (Lara Jean Chorostecki) is left to pick up the pieces while navigating her guilt, which is made worse by tricky CIA agent Warren Pryce (Gil Bellows).

Chucky took a hiatus during season three when the writers and actors went on strike last year. Only four new episodes aired in October, but after the strike ended Chucky finished the season and it’s back on April 9th. When we last left Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Bjorgvin Arnarson), and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), Chucky had dropped a chandelier on the guests at a White House Halloween party. The audience also got to see that Chucky was aging, even in his doll form.
Arthur was at the NBC Universal party for the Television Critics Association in February. We got to catch up with him on Jake and Devon’s relationship and future battles with Chucky. Chucky airs Wednesdays at 10pm Et/Pt on both Syfy and USA.

Chucky, the iconic psychopathic doll with a taste for blood, has seen some competition on his corner. In the past year alone, dancing AI Dolls, giant animatronics, and the return of the tricycle-riding clown have offered stiff competition. Yet there’s only one red-headed monster known for his comedy, his oddly progressive nature, and, of course, his super violent kills. Chucky returns for the second half of its third season and, once again, proves his dark comedy fits best on television.
