I enjoyed this episode. The acting was good and so were the costumes and atmosphere. It really gave the viewers a creepy feel of the time period and legend of the cursed Orloj. With that said, I'm not sure it should have been part of Lore since it is not based on actual people and events. It's just a legend told by Alois Jirasek, a Czech writer.
Lore is a show about non-fiction scary stories. The episodes examine historical events that show the dark side of human nature. This episode, while fun, is completely fictional.
As with all episodes this season, the narration was really missed. More context and background were needed here to really wrap up the episode and explain why it's part of Lore (I didn't get it). When I finished watching the episode I looked up the missing information on Wikipedia. The clock is real. It was first installed in 1410 by clockmaker Mikulas of Kadan and Charles University professor of mathematics and astronomy Jan Sindel. It is the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest clock still in operation today. The story of the curse is just a legend.
