There will be SPOILERS AHEAD in this review. You have been warned.
Jeremy Bearimy is a well thought episode that puts the brainy bunch back into their previous characters without sacrificing anything. I mean sure, Michael and Janet don't get to snowplow anymore but what everyone is going to do now seems like it's going to be... well, as the good place would say, everything is fine.
Today's standout performer is undoubtedly William Jackson Harper! He takes collapsing into moral misery and basically (as he says) breaking to absurd new heights as his world is shattered. He plays it so well. Plus we finally get to see what Eleanor was describing when she said he was ripped in Season 1. Speaking of which, the rest of the cast was fine, obviously. I just can't understate how much Chidi made me laugh this episode.
The writing introduces a few ideas which, if my theories are correct, might prove to be very important later on. Other than that, it provides as reasonable an explanation as possible as to how Michael changes the timeline. Jeremy Bearimy is perfect for the Good Place. The story was good. The characters got to panic a bit and find themselves, which was entertaining. And seeing their moral improvements since they were just at phase 0 of being truly good is fascinating.
I laughed, thought a bit, then laughed some more at Jeremy Bearimy. (9/10)
