Beautiful and emotional
sauravjoshi8514 December 2019
Third episode of'Easy' is a perfect blend of emotion and beauty. It shows the different levels of love and understanding of the various characters.

This is also probably one of the beautiful episodes of the series.

A emotional yet beautiful episode to watch.

Well written!

Writers did a solid job in developing the characters. Every main character is pretty layered. Just looking at Otis, he is giving other people relationship/sex advice when he clearly has had zero experience. That irony itself shows the complexity of the characters we see in this series.

Jean, Maeve (I still can't get Margot out of my head!!) and even the random Christian couple outside the abortion clinic are well developed. The couple was hilarious because even though I know it was supposed to be satirical, it was pretty accurate.

Kudos to writers to paying close attention to characters!!

Emotional

I didn't expect it to get this deep. He is fabulous and her story in that episode, and the older woman's too is so touching. A surprising amount of emotions.

Beautiful

Sex Education continues to surprise. That title coupled with the way it was promoted implied a bawdy sex comedy about teenagers, but this is such a lovely, quaint almost beautiful coming of age story about a whole bunch of characters : each written and portrayed with care.

Nothing highlights that more than this particular episode set mostly in an abortion clinic, that gets just about everything right in terms of details, tone and in general storytelling. The use of music is stellar. A whole different article can be written about how good the soundtrack of this series is and this particular episode uses The Smith's 'Asleep' and Ezra Furman's 'Feel Everything' (an original creation for this show) to great impact.

Highly recommended.

This is the episode I knew this show was special

Warning: Spoilers
The scene when Otis meets Maeve after her abortion is when I knew this show was going to be an amazing story. There are themes tackled in this show regardless of where you stand on the issue of abortion that really humanizes the characters. There is so much complexity in the storytelling, it doesn't try to preach a message, it simply follows a story and allows the viewer to feel the emotions. I am personally against abortion but the way the show went about this allows me to feel compassion for the characters. The way Maeve turns around and says "you waited." is when I fell in love with Otis and Maeve's story. The walk home is beautiful as Otis is starting to take a risk and impress Maeve and then she begins to let down her walls and begins to see Otis as someone she can maybe trust. It's a beautiful moment and the music is so gentle and sweet, for me it's very emotional and made me tear up. For how crude the show is, it simply pulls no punches about its subject matter and I think it's worth noting how special the show is. The writing and characters are interesting even if you can't relate.

Otis and Maeve
AvionPrince169 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So we saw that Otis and Maeve get little bit more close with the abortion stuff. But its pretty classic. We already saw it many times that kind of relationship. Its good anyway. Eric met a crazy chick who wanted sex. The mother of Otis met again her ex and learn that Otis ejaculated.great

Im still a little bit disappointed and expected a way more from that show about the sex topics and stuff but its pretty superficial and become just a comedy show with some interesting relationship but thats all. My interest dont go too far with this show and really get superficial. We have some jokes that made me laugh but i will see the other episodes by curiosity.

Otis and Maeve
AvionPrince169 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So yeah we follow Otis who ejaculated and his mom will know that. Maeve and Otis will get closer with the abortion stuff and they will know each other better. Eric know a girl who wanted to have sex with him. Dr Jean have new from her ex boyfriend.

Thats pretty all and im a little bit disappointed because the show go too much in the comedy side and have some situations who just feel an excuse to make some sex jokes and pointless exhibitionsm. Its pretty superficial and really my interest fade away. I will still watch the other episodes by curiosity but im a little bit disappointed to be honest. I expected way more from that show despite that i like the honesty of the show.

Another typical Netflix episode
keithquinn19619 February 2019
Not a bad episode to be fair full of the usual awkwardness and random humour, despite the typical Pro Choice episode provided by Netflix. The complete misrepresentation of the Pro life side as usual though, if they're going to do a "controversial episode", at least get both sides points across. Got to love bias Woohoo!
