I have very much liked this show so far, since it is trying to be relatively fair - or so I thought. But I am starting to doubt recently. Letting aside that this episode is loaded with testosterone instead of being smart and interesting - there is a reason why people watch MacGyver and not Seals or any other military/action show - it is getting more and more obvious that MacGyver is fully taking part in the nowadays common Hollywood practice of marginalizing blonde actresses. After Isabel Lucas (who I thought was a great addition) leaving, now the character Jill - the only other blonde (and no, Lucas Till does not count, he is not female and he cannot be changed - although there are black Cinderellas etc now, but that does not really work either- and he is just one blonde left) is eliminated. Instead we get Leanna - many people perceive Bozer as the most annoying character on the show and coupling him up with Leanna surely does not help - which would be fine, if there was also still a Samantha Cage and/or a Jill etc., like I said before: taking away from one group and giving to another does not make things right, or we could legalize stealing in all cases where the thief has less money than the victim - ridiculous. More female power please and to be exact: more blond female power. Same rights/a place for everybody.
