Not As Bad As You Might Think.
I watched this last year on Amazon Prime before it got taken down, and I still remember it, it is now available on youtube for free to watch. Bed is certainly an interesting experiment; film a movie taking entirely in a bedroom, with the camera facing the bed the whole time. This, actually is what kills the film, the camera angles, the characters are not at all as bland as the reviews on here say. The bland nearly single angle shots on the other hand, really do make this film more dull than it should be. The script, while possibly largely improvised, is not at all bad. Cody Clarke, does most of the duties on this film, I would genuinely call this his worst film, BUT having watched so many awful low-budgets, for a film filmed on almost no budget, other than I'm guessing the cost of the food in the film, it really isn't terrible, a bit dull at times, yes, but it is still enjoyable in spots.

If this was a truly terrible, meaning not enjoyable at all, I would have forgotten i, as I do most of the films I watch. However, I felt some of the dialog, and the way their relationship progresses in the film, is actually not unrealistic. You have one partner here who just wants to have a good time, like all of the time, and not work on the issues, and not surprisingly, its the dude. The girlfriend on the other hand, wants to take some of the time while they are in bed all day, to work out their kinks. A lot of the dialog revolves around their little petty arguments over whether or not they should even talk about anything serious, and the funny thing is, I found this to be some of the most honest and genuine dialog I've heard on what I guess is a pretty run of the mill everyday relationship.

It this doesn't sound interesting to you, really, do not watch bed. It is filled with too much dialog filler on Cody's end, meaning tons of "likes", like a lot. ;P As already mentioned, the cinematography is beyond boring and really does drag the movie down, when camera angles could have been used to heighten the tension in their relationship, and there is a decent amount, they are not. At around 70 minutes, the film simply feels too long do to the lack of differing camera angles, BUT I did love the ending, and Chloe is really adorable, and pretty great actress, she deserves bigger roles.

If you are new to Cody Clarke, do yourself a favor and start with Mute Date or Ramekin, they are made a lot better in every respect.

God Bless ~Amy

Ugh...

The premise is limiting enough but due to unoriginal writing and bland characters, Bed will nearly put you to sleep. So if that was the director's intention then I'll change this to a 10 star review.

3/10 is an injustice

3/10 stars is ridiculous, all around this is a great film. It's heartbreaking to see yourself in a story like this. I suppose you have to have been in the shoes of the antagonist at some point or another to understand that though. I loved every scene, it's just all so sadly relatable. There's something so real and raw that this captures that you just don't find in most films. This movie makes me want to be a better guy. It's evident throughout the entire thing that the girl wants and needs more out of the relationship, but the guy is totally oblivious to that. It seems like it should be obvious from the third person, but as a guy who is trying not to be "that guy" , I know that oftentimes it's not obvious that you're the problem when you're "that guy" in a relationship. Thank you to everyone involved for making something so great. Awesome. Heart wrenching and touching and beautiful.

One of my all time favourite movies

This is one of my favourite movies of all time. It's easily the most realistic interpretation of a relationship I've ever seen put to screen. It's a side of love that's not often shown in cinema, and it had a very powerful effect on me. Both characters felt so real and raw. Both Clarke and Castiglioni had little mannerisms and moments they brought to their characters that broke my heart. And the film forces you to empathise with and understand both of their positions as I think every film should. Truly felt like hidden cameras were documenting a completely real moment between this couple. Beautiful film, deserves a much higher rating.

BED IS A MASTERPIECE

Original writing. Fresh and interesting characters. I love the poster too as someone who used to be extremely interested in photography. Definitely won't put you to sleep even though the movie is called Bed. I keep telling you guys Cody Clarke will be a household name soon and you won't listen.
