Warning: Spoilers
This was definitely a very mixed episode. On the one hand the excellent story of Junior and Jerry bringing the fallen soldier back home very well done and moving, probably the most moving episode since the Pearl Harbour one, some years ago. On the other hand the story about the bodies in the sand merely enabled Steve and Danny to carryon their married couple impression before it was wrapped up in a hurry.

Powerful Message

Junior (Beulah Koale) and Jerry (Jorge Garcia) had a great storyline. The tribute to a fallen service member and the back story memories of Jerry and Junior which kind a tied the 3 together was so full of compassion & heart. The other storyline of this episode paled in comparison.

So well written about honoring our fallen soldiers
srsr-9441521 October 2018
I have watched Hawaii Five-O, since the original show with Jack Lord, and have never in my life felt led to rate or review any show. This one was too powerful to not make the effort. The storyline with Junior and Jerry providing honor guard escort to a fallen soldier was poignant enough to leave me in tears and left me proud of all our men and women serving in our military. It is so good to see our military honored in such a sincere way. The writers did an excellent job, as did the actors, Beulah Koale and Jorge Garcia in this episode.

Lest we forget....a very respectful episode honoring our fallen (men and women) soldiers
Ed-Shullivan11 November 2018
Regardless of our place of birth this season 9 episode 4 holds a very special place in my heart and I thank the producers/director for honoring all of our military around the world (especially in the USA) for their service to our country, and for the world.

Too often we breeze over the sacrifices that so many brave soldiers (both men and women) and their loved ones have made so that our respective countries can live free and safe from other dictators who would otherwise force their beliefs on our free nation(s).

This particular episode shares two of the casts own stories Jerry Ortega (Jorge Garcia), and Junior Reigns (Beulah Koale) as Junior has been designated to return the body of a fallen soldier to his family back in Hawaii. Junior does not personally know why this young man who lost his life in battle designated Junior to be the one to return his body back to his family but eventually we find out and the reason is simple enough but yet still hard to accept from a parental nature.

To all the military men and women "we gratefully thank you for your service to your country" ...lest we forget.

EXQUISITE EPISODE!

Viewer since S1E1, but this episode is the first one ever that made me want to come here, log on, and write a review. Every aspect of this episode was EXQUISITELY written, shot, acted and delivered. We now understand why our beloved Jerry was living in his mother's basement, why service to the United States of America has a depth of meaning most Americans may never be able to appreciate, and why friendship, honor, and legacy are so important. I loved this episode. First time ever I had tears without realizing I had started crying. Wow! Kudos to Talia Gonzalez & Bisanne Masoud!!! From CPAP to sand, from Dover to Duke, from friendship to family...this one has it all. Thank you, Ladies and team/crew!

I refused to sign in with IMDB until this episode on Hawaii Five O. I was moved to give up my privacy to agree with everyone else that this was a moving episode! Freedom isn't free may sound trite but it is real. No Ka Oi 🤙🏼
