Exclusive: The sinking of the Titanic continues to fascinate filmmakers and audiences, and a new two-part doc about the tragic ship has pre-sold into the UK and Australia.
Channel 4 and Sbs have both boarded Titanic in Colour, which comes from the British indie behind World’s Most Evil Killers and Mandela, My Dad and Me maker Woodcut Media.
The doc will feature little-known stories such as the impact of the Titanic’s sinking in 1912 on the UK port city of Southampton and the last trauma of those who survived. It will feature interviews with relatives of passengers.
Through extensive research and colorization techniques, the doc will also bring to life the lavish interiors of the ship, artefacts and clothing from passengers and many of the larger-than-life people who built, sailed on and ultimately survived the sinking.
