Started watching these because of the documentary Closer Than We Think by the same filmmaker. The format on these makes it feel like a personal conversation with the subject, though sometimes I wish there was more back and forth, especially when a subject carries on a bit. The chance to rifle through their workspace and see mementos of their careers is extremely exciting, and I find myself doing more reading and adding artists to my social media follows as soon as each one ends.

How often do we overlook these masterpieces because they aren't acknowledged as mainstream art? This series is a fun exploration of the life and work of these artists. Definitely worth watching a few times. Love their stories.
