Another very good one!

When it started, "The Mallorca Files" was nothing to write home about, but as the show has continued, it has gotten a lot better. "Mallorca's Most Wanted" is yet another very good edition to the series. Is it great? Unfortunately not, but it is easily in my top 3 of the best episodes of this season.

Let's start with the good aspects first.

. The production values of the episode are great as usual. "Mallorca's Most Wanted" is well-directed and the music fits the scenery. The acting's solid all around. Julian Looman and Elen Rhys are just wonderful together.

. The murder mystery is mostly intriguing and has some good twists and turns. There is quite a bit of wry humor and the characters are interesting. Really liked how Inez and Miranda are starting to become friends at this point of the series. Also, the last 15 minutes of this episode are quite intense agreed.

That being said...

. The story is a times bit too predictable. Everyone, who has seen murder mysteries, know that the mystery is not going to be as straight-forward as our detectives might believe. Also, the twist that Ramon was a dirty cop is an ending one could see coming from a mile away.

Overall, pretty good if not great.

8/10 HK.

Mallorca's Most Wanted
Prismark1022 March 2020
There is a showdown between Miranda and her superior Inés Villegas. Miranda has always suspected that Inés has never liked her.

Max and Miranda are after one of Mallorca's mosted wanted man, Charlie King.

He escaped after killing his girlfriend. Now Charlie King is lining up to return to see his dying father.

The detective in charge of the original case is bit of a legend. However Miranda's criticism of him does not go down well with Inés.

There is now more of an element of the 1980s series Moonlighting in the recent episodes. A sort of will they/won't they aspect.

I just hope it does not get in the way of the mysteries. It eventually blew Moonlighting off course.

King Charlie

Warning: Spoilers
Here in Mallorca's Most Wanted, we are introduced to Charlie King played by Ben Dilloway.

Mallorca's Most Wanted is the second-last-episode (i.e. Penultimate) of the first season of The Mallorca Files, the dynamic duo of Miranda Blake (played by British-English actress Elen Rhys) and Max Winter (played by Austrian-German actor Julian Looman) starts to bond a bit. I remember from a previous episode where they were doing some flamenco dancing, and they were about to kiss I think, so who knows how that could have progressed, but maybe we'll get some progress in season two, which I'm looking forward to watching.

An excellent penultimate episode.

Max and Miranda are after Charlie King, Mallorca's most wanted, a man wanted for the murder of his Girlfriend, at liberty for four years.

It's fair to say this series has gotten better and better as it's progressed, at this stage I don't want the series to end. This was an excellent episode, a well crafted mystery with a terrific set of characters, particularly from the two leads.

Lots of intrigue, plenty of excitement, and a tense finale, but the best element had to be the scenes between Miranda and Ines, I wonder if we'll see a change in attitudes.

It's been a real revelation, it deserves a better time slot. This was terrific. 9/10
