I'm a huge fan of the show over all. The clips of the celebrities meeting feels like the cheesiest reality show and it's awkward despite that when it comes to the contestants they are awesome. It's nice to see a rap competition or any music competition where they can actually swear. Music should never be censored. I think it's worth watching if you're into rap. Just not a fan of the elimination rap battles. It's entertaining yes. It's just not fair, not everyone is a battle rapper. So basically they care more about the entertainment value than anything else. Also I don't like how TI and cardi seem to care more about money than the actual talent of the artist. I get that that's a reality, it's just depressing. They should bring Royce back to judge too, by far the best judge. He gave such honest yet kind constructive criticism. Despite that I still find it very enjoyable and hope they make the next season more fair and actually wanna build artists up and help them.

Finally a contest where contestants can be creative and not have to be weighed down with a show contract! People are mad because people say different things on their rap, guess what everyone is different and says different things. Get over it! Chance, Cardi, and T.I. Did a great job of picking people as they know what it takes to be in the industry. They know the pain, struggles, and the tenacity a pain person goes through and needs. I also like that it's them because they all made it in the music industry different ways. This show fosters creativity and growth of the artists. It also teaches them to be humble and work on their craft. It was great and if you are saying it's not, you may be a hater. Make your own show if you don't like it or change the channel. I also love that the winner is not a traditional cookie cutter current type rapper. Great show!

So many times you watch shows and they hold back and only show you what they want you to see. This show does not hold back. They devoted an entire episode to rap battles with almost no filler! You can't beat that!!

I'm a long time hip-hop fan though it's gotten harder to be one over time as I become more aware. I know the music industry as a whole hasn't been the most egalitarian, but some genres are less so. It makes it difficult to watch someone like TI in a judging position difficult to enjoy when I think about some of the sexist trash that's come out of his mouth over the years. It's bigotry. While we turn away from some over their bigotry, THIS kind keeps finding acceptance like it's a hurdle too far to expect men to get over. I almost gave up after the first couple episodes. It's Chance and the pool of talent they brought in that saves this show. You can tell he cares about these competitors regardless of gender. I like Cardi and have respect for what she's had to deal with to catch her success. I just wish she didn't have to be so complicit to earn her place. I noted in the last episode how Troyman, who did really well, beamed (shined!) over getting a standing ovation from TI......you got it from Cardi too. I guess that isn't as big a deal for you but I bet you'll work with her if you get the offer riiiiight? And you could practically hear the money being counted in TI's head when he spied Londynn B's performance and the opportunity to make some money off the back of yet another female artist's climb to fame when you know damn well he'll drop her flat if she farts the wrong direction. People forget he promoted Iggy, fake hood accent and all, then dropped her flat when it wasn't well received like he didn't know it was going on beforehand.

Cardi b really is that bad. She is cringy, desperate sounding and downright unintelligent. At times it was hard to watch because of her. Chance redeemed the judges with some thoughtful critique.
