Now THIS is podracing!

Warning: Spoilers
That was incredible. It's got an amazing cinematic feel. It looks great, the characters are well written, the action is phenomenal, and it's LONG, which makes me even more excited for the rest of the finale. I can't wait to see what the next three episodes have in store.

Somewhat of a spoiler (I put up a warning just in case): Ahsoka says in Rebels that the last time she saw Anakin was when he was rushing off to save the chancellor, which happens in this episode. It makes me sad to think that they're never going to see each other again after that very brief reunion, especially because they were both acting like they were expecting to reunite after the end of the war. (I mean, that does technically happen, just not exactly the way they expected...)

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING FROM START TO FINISH.
eaj-943-87490517 April 2020
THIS is what we've all been waiting for, this is the Clone Wars we wanted! More cinematic than ever. After a pretty good Bad Batch story arc, and an unbearable Annoying sisters arc, we have the Siege of Mandalore.

This episode is without a doubt one of the best openers for a story arc and one of the best episodes of Clone Wars. So many great character moments between our favorites: Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and Rex. Stunning animation from start to finish and an amazing musical score (the Original Theme at the beginning tho) This is also the longest episode of the season, so expect the next three episodes to be longer. Absolutely Brilliant!

From the stunning animation to the incredible action sequences, this episode paves the way for what looks to be one of the best pieces of story telling the Star Wars universe has to offer.

Best ever
nperichon17 April 2020
In my opinion that's the best episode ever of that tv show! I'm really looking forward to watching the next episodes. Ahsoka is like the full good side of Anakin, humble, kind and always thinking about others than politics. I wish there would be a serie about ahsoka.

This is easily the best episode of the season so far and I cannot wait to see this arc unfold it also breaks my heart that this might be the last time Ahsoka sees Anakin until rebels😔

The Best Clone Wars Episode Yet!!!
kislayparasar17 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It may be too soon to say that, but I have already rewatched it 4 times!! It is sooooo good. Everything, from the start to finish, is peak Clone Wars. The animation, as with all episodes this season, is better than most animated big budget movies. Kevin Kiener's soundtrack is freaking awesome, have him score the movies if John Williams really doesn't return. The action scene with Ahsoka jumping ship to ship and then on the landing platform with the explosion in the background was just spectacular. This is the best Star Wars content we have gotten since RoTS. All in all, totally surpasses Lawless and The Wrong Jedi as now my favourite Clone Wars episode. AND WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED!! Is it Friday yet??

WOW.
sddaly-1789917 April 2020
I am speechless, this has to be some of the best Star Wars content we've gotten in way too long of a time. This episode was jammed packed with so much good content. I got teary eyed a couple of times but it felt justified. Dave Filoni, thank you so much. You fought hard for this show and I can say that everyone is immensely excited to see how you finish it off.

The title says it all. Wish we had movies like this episode. 27 minutes far better than the 3 new movies.

What we've been waiting for
Krawia17 April 2020
This is what we have been waiting for. The characters we care about interacting. My only regret is that this will only be four episodes but they may be longer than usual with this one being 29 minutes.

Consistency thrown out
christianbjorck22 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Having the padawan Ashoka who left the order being welcomed back with fanfare seems a bit off. Her going after Maul with Obi-Wans blessing is some of the worst writing I have seen in the show. Obi-Wan, the Jedi Knight, has faced Maul and barely won. Maul also killed his master. No way would he let a padawan, even one he likes and trusts, go do that without back-up. "Bring him in alive" mind you. No, for all the flashy stuff and good animation, this poorly executed character moments brings the whole thing down. Shows how important good writing is.

A spectacular start to a long-awaited arc
adambell-6981117 April 2020
This episode builds on The Clone Wars' fantastic prior seasons as well as the equally great Star Wars Rebels to create a product so good that it will undoubtedly be marked as a game-changing moment in Star Wars history.

The stunning animation, the rich character moments and the fantastic musical score all make sure the episode excels at what the Star Wars animated shows do so well.

I absolutely can not wait to see what comes next!

This one TV episode does what 3 cinema movies cannot
jellevanderputten18 April 2020
What more is there to say than my title except for my personal opinion down below?

A 3 movie franchise with a budget over 600 million at minimum cannot do what one 25 minute episode can: engross me in their creation.

I am sometimes amazed at how these things work out, and this is all a Star Wars fan could ask for. Too bad the big chiefs up in Hollywood have a hard time understanding that.

Thank you Lucasfilm Animation and others to give us 'A New Hope' after this fiasco called The Rise of Skywalker.

The big chiefs took a dump on you and I am glad to see you're able to wash it off at least a little bit with this and The Mandalorian.

This makes up for the previous arc completely. The animation, dialogue and plot is at its finest. Very excited for the rest of the arc going forward.

**Spoilers**

Warning: Spoilers
As soon as the title card came on as the beloved crawl of the Skywalker Saga- with the iconic score accompanying it- I knew this was it. This was what we have been waiting for. And the episode did not disappoint. It was the perfect first act to this final story in this saga. Everything was there, and I cannot wait for what the final three episodes have in store. This episode provides definite context of the possibility of seeing Order 66, with the opening montage showing Jedi on locations from Episode III, and it plants us simultaneously with the Battle of Coruscant. This is what we've been waiting for.

The episode we've all been waiting for!!
jonesalec-9464717 April 2020
The Bad Batch arc was great, the ashoka arc had some strong points but wasnt fantastic, but this? THIS IS STAR WARS GOLD. Making the timeline connections right away and setting the standard for what seems like a 4 part mini series with 30 minute long episodes rather than 20, Old Friends not Forgotten does everything right, and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

Holy crap
jeremiahavery-7602817 April 2020
This episode is filled with so much emotion and subtle ,but very meaningful, moments. Definitely one of the best clone wars episodes. I think the Siege of Mandalore arc could rival any of the clone wars arcs if they play their cards right.

Back in cinematic form... thank god
loganh121617 April 2020
This is now one of my favorite episodes of Clone Wars, this is brilliantly cinematic, amazing written and emotional versed. The opening is definitely my favorite set piece and battle in this entire show. Grievous looks so menacing, I love his new redesign. It fills in the gap between the end of clone wars and the beginning of Episode III perfectly. And perfectly explaining why Rex and Ashoka were not seen in the movie. We also get John Williams' Star Wars them as well as some of his other work in this episode. This is my favorite episode hands down. Please watch these last four episodes. They are the best and closest thing to another prequel movie to the same level. It's beautiful and brilliant! 9/10

Truly Amazing
kriskagie-1401217 April 2020
For a TCW fan it's pure nostalgia and back to form from last seasons. It was one of the best episodes of the entire series and now I just cannot wait for the next 3. Shame that it has to end, but at the same time glad that it ends in this amazing style.
