Andrea's new song goes viral, she's asked to sing at the bowling alley Grand Opening. The pressure is overwhelming. She incorporates too many notes which messes up the song. Now she doesn't want to perform. But when Emma doesn't care that her sculpture is a flop because she had fun doing it, Andrea realizes she's lost the joy of writing/performing music. Andrea's song is a hit.

When Dottie Rae's vintage necklace goes missing, Ethan enlists Emma to find it. Emma imagines herself a 1940s detective in a black & white noir world. Ricky and Joey seem suspicious, but a mysterious print sends Emma off to investigate. Emma finds the necklace in a box and tells Dottie Rae that Ethan found the necklace, so he can show his grandmother how much he cares.

The girls prep for a school dance, but Mia is anxious about it. Mia is uncomfortable in girly clothes and at the dance in general. She gets so uncomfortable she leaves. River tracks her down and she apologizes for leaving, explaining that that whole thing is just not her. He tells her that he likes her the way she is. The girls join them because it's only fun if they can enjoy it together.

The girls go to an elephant preserve in the jungle for the summer but Andrea doesn't want to leave her creature comforts. Mia is anxious about spending time with River. The Jungle base camp is amazing and the elephants welcome the girls. They enjoy feeding and playing with elephants, but Andrea would rather have a hot shower. Andrea snuggles with a baby elephant and is surprisingly comforted.

Emma gets lost in the jungle with Ethan. Angus, who's on the other side of the island with Donna and Shyela, calls on the radio to tell them to stay put. As they hunker down in the shelter, Emma and Ethan realize this is no average rainstorm. When the storm clears, they make their way back to camp. Emma worries that she ruined Ethan's trip but he's excited to have a story to tell.

Andrea and Luca the elephant struggle to enjoy jungle life. The girls and River try to help. Shyela helps them see the jungle differently and discover natural wonders that feel like home to Andrea. They 'shop' for fresh fruit and enjoy a spa day in a hot spring. But they learn that what really makes it all feel like home, is friends. Luca learns a similar lesson with his elephant family.

The girls prepare to leave the jungle but realize there is so much they haven't done. Stephanie wants to see the whole island, fast. Mia teaches an elephant how to handshake. Olivia upgrades the camp. Emma teaches the chimps and sloths to paint. Andrea realizes that her voice calms the animals. Andrea throws a goodbye concert for the jungle animals and staff as the girls say farewell.
