Another big episode.

Nurse Ratched hatches a plan to stop Edmund from being executed, but someone else has a different plan. Gwendolyn accompanies Nurse Ratched to a puppet show.

The standard has been very good throughout, now and then that standard has been elevated to terrific, that is the case with this episode. We take a smal step away from the goings on at The Institution, and instead see a Puppet show, a very revealing show which takes Nurse on a painful journey down memory lane, the scenes were tragic, but superbly performed.

We keep getting to learn more about our central character, she is complex, at least we now understand her concern.

The barn scene was great, gave us a bit of a Bonnie and Clyde story.

This was excellent again, 9/10.

This pretty much be the peak of the series

The theater retelling of Ratched backstory was wonderfully out together with out getting to gritty on details. It only comes undone with unneeded exposition of the same events in the next scene. Despite that, this was one of the most memorable episodes.

A great episode, loved seeing some back-back story on Ratched, definitely puts her motivation in perspective. Costuming and cinematography continue to be stunning.

I guess that would mess just about anybody up. The story of Ratched and her brother and how they became the way they are. Also a big surprise to learn that Edmund is her long lost brother. Then you get a little Bonnie Parker ending for Nurse Dolly thinking she can take on the entire police force of Cali with a double barrel shotgun. This series has kind of been meh for me so far, but this episode really filled it all in.

Nice episode, it tells something from the past which is dark but I really didn't like that love scenes took about half of the episode.

Decent

3 out of 5 stars.

Fair episode. Two people are on the run. While Ratched past was revealed. Dark episode. But slow and thin with the script.

When's The Kitchen Sink Being Thrown In?
TheFearmakers24 September 2020
It's still fun, sort of addicting, but getting way out of head. All over the place. It's trying to widen from the limited corridors of the psych ward but the entire purpose is the claustrophobic feel of being stuck inside there, like in the film Cuckoo's Nest and AHS Season 2: Asylum, which this derives from more than the 70's film...

There was a scene in the previous episode, The Dance, where the doctor tries hypnotizing the old ugly Nurse Bucket to not want to go to the dance with him, and it doesn't work. It was hilarious, and this show needs more of that. Not humor as in ha-ha-funny but... even Breaking Bad could be hilarious along with gritty/edgy.

This thing just takes itself too seriously and doesn't know when or where to find relief through all its mazy melodrama. The whole Bonnie and Clyde thing is a bit contrived, especially being that the young psychopath cannot act very well and seems to be doing an impersonation of whatever films Ryan Murphy gave him to study for the role (ironically, a lot of times he looks like when Pyle's gone crazy in Full Metal Jacket, and that actor plays the Governor)...

And although Sarah Paulson has aged pretty well, she doesn't look the age she's supposed to be here. Her brother is supposed to be her age and he looks 20 years younger.

First bad episodes

Ignores the themes and threads set in previous episodes. Whoever wrote and/or directed this one has no idea how to tell a story.

Killing an animal on screen
UdntF00lm311 January 2022
I don't know what's with modern horrors killing and abusing animals. Enough is enough. It doesn't add anything, you just harm and/or kill innocent animals.
