This was almost a perfect episode, still some things that felt a bit off but they're getting there. It's still a new show that is trying to put its feet down and they are doing good work. The new Justice Society of America is formed in this episode and we get to see Stargirl, Wildcat, Hourman and Dr.Mid-Nite together in their first mission together and it was nice to see, the costume department did a phenomenal job with the design of the costumes. The actors actually fit into the costumes and look rather good in them. It was a very entertaining and good episode but one thing that wasn't as great was some of the dialogue for some actors. But overall a great episode, Chris Manley did a phenomenal job at directing this episode.
The introduction of Sportsman and Tigress was one thing that took me by suprise, not that they would be there but how entertaining they are as characters and as actors, the chemistry they have was great to see! We also get to follow The Gambler some more and I'm starting to like him and wish to see more! With those two characters, Sportsman and Tigress, the fight sequences and choreography involving them felt really comicbooky and that isn't a bad thing. The show is now known for the two tones that they have successfully done and it's a darker and lighter tone, these two villains are on the lighter side as we get to see Sportsman living up to the name... He likes sports, yep. Whilst Tigress has more agility and are so much different bit together they become this amazing team. The darker villains are like Iceman and Brainwave. Those fight sequences were the best ones yet, the visual and special effects was some of the best since the first episode, Star Girl's staff was at its best in terms of cgi and it was believable.
I strongly believe that this episode will satisfy many viewers and superhero fans that are interested in watching this show.
