Well done to the cast of Riverdale for paying special tribute to the untimely death of actor Luke Perry in this the season 4 opener episode. It was an especially nice touch to have Luke Perry's former fellow cast member from Beverly Hills 90210, Shannen Doherty, lead Archie and his friends in a prayer on the side of the rode where he fictitiously died at the hands of a hit and run driver. Luke Perry who played Archie Andrew's father and moral compass Fred Andrews, obituary which was written and read out loud by Archie's best friend Jughead Jones surely drew many tears from this week's audience.
Fake or real tears, this touching tribute to honor the actual death of actor Luke Perry who passed away suddenly from a massive ischemic stroke at his home in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles on February 27, 2019, was both touching and heart felt bestowing great empathy which I am sure the cast members did not have to try very hard to act, as their love for their co-star Luke Perry was quite evident.
We have not only lost a great actor, but also a great human being.
