Not bad

Warning: Spoilers
I liked the premise of the series, but I don't like what the writers made with it, especially in the 2nd season. They could've done so much more, like we saw in the 1st season, but it all went meh, going in circles. I think General Hospital is more thrilling than this season. And seriously - Lorna couldn't do anything but move a van through the garage?! In the 1st season she crashed a plane! I'm really disappointed by this season. And how got Esme back to them? What happened with her clone sisters? They explained uninteresting stuff to death but when things finally happen they only show without telling. I am not sure if there will be a 3rd season. I hope, but then they should let real writers on it!

I really want to love this show.

Kind of a rough season this one, and with the promo's/hype of the finale I was hoping to just be cranky about why they didn't do THIS sooner(because the hype was that this was supposed to be pretty much 1 season in 1 episode, and I've commented before this season, on how things just didn't seem to be going anywhere, so I was hoping to be compensated tonight).

But even this episode lacked 1 serious ingredient........ a straight up hero, where season 1 had ideals, vision, and people that stepped-up, this season inches back, and forth, back, and forth, without going anywhere, and sadly I kinda felt like that this episode too, any, and all progress in 'the battle' was because it was inevitable, and the absolute minimum happened to progress the story, and that's just not very heroic. Which makes me sad, because after Legion, this show had the potential to break-away from just being a formula-/comic-style show, but this season just didn't do anything to break-away, and I really don't get it, because it would've been very easy to make the characters more individual, it wouldn't even have changed all that much to the story-arc to just allow certain heroes, to make actual heroic choices.

Anyway, I'm not sure this Finale was enough to convince the Network to have a season 3, it just made me sad.

Excellent Season Finale
pacgd27 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The season started out with a whimper but ended with a bang. It began with a little too much soap opera drama for my taste but picked up the pace towards the end of the season. This show deserves a 3rd season for it's one of Fox's better shows even though it's ratings weren't at the top. Streamg-line the show back to a 13 episide season. Show their stugg

Such a stupid canceling time!
ProducersGuide29 August 2019
It is cancelled and it is really a stupid canceling time. After all of this big fan base and all this success they are canceling all of it after two successful seasons. SO, WHY DID THEY START PRODUCING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE? I REALLY DON'T KNOW!

Without a doubt the best episode of the whole show. So good and what an insane and intense finale. I really hope we get a season 3 because the ending opens up so many possibilities!!

An Explosive Finally

Really enjoyed it, hope we get a third season. If we do get a third season, I'm excited to see where it goes; considering the last scene of this episode.

End or season 3?
lifanovolegkalifan29 June 2023
This is the end? But why? Is there a way to restart next season? It would be just great if it was connected with a new dimension, new heroes, costumes, new and improved abilities. As you can see in Blink. It is also clear that not only Blink, but also heroes from another universe are in the new dimension. There must be mutant heroes and mutants from another universe. Events were supposed to happen, as a result of which people begin to treat mutants differently. And mounts should have new goals, opponents, stories and legends. Regards, Oleg. I look forward to continuing! I am sure that my request will not go unnoticed.

There are many, many people who are looking forward to the continuation of the series, and it has been ~4 years since the last release of the series and every year more and more viewers want to see the continuation. I think this is a great prospect for the continuation of mutant content with the same heroes.

Season Two (sort of) review.
southdavid7 August 2019
I posted a review a few months back saying that the first season of "The Gifted" had eventually won me over, despite being some way off the pace of the Netflix hero shows, or the Berlanti-Verse. I'm afraid the second season didn't build on that, and I didn't bother making it to the end once I'd heard that the cancellation was confirmed.

The second series sees the Sentinel services largely replaced as a threat by human vigilante groups, who are hunting the mutants. Meanwhile the "inner Circle" instigate their plan to free all mutants from oppression and punish those responsible, and aren't afraid of using violence to achieve their goal.

It's hard to really pinpoint exactly what the failing was, maybe taking the focus away from the central family and towards these various groups that was the problem. Maybe it was the similarities between the pro human groups here and on the recent season of "Supergirl" but for whatever reason, I just couldn't maintain any interest in this run. I let it mount up on the Sky box and then decided that life is too short and deleted it.

Mediocre season.

Warning: Spoilers
The family melodrama was nauseating. OMG!

Sooo many repetitive and corny dialogs.

I was hoping that the saving grace were the action sequences, but nope!! The action sequences felt sooo cheap.

Our heroes were surrounded in the apartment by the bad guys but acted with no sense of urgency. Also the bad guys seemed to forget that they were dealing with powerful mutants. Poorly design action sequence!

Our heroes had Polaris and the brother-sister duo!! They could have disposed of the bad guys in seconds!! I don't get it. Bleh!!

They portrayed Reeva as a super powerful mutant. Please!!! Come on!! The non-mutant wife with a gun could have gone upstairs and just shoot her. End of story. The father sacrificing unnecessarily his life. Lame! Bleh!

Why none of our heroes exposed the Benedict Ryan/Reeva collaboration to the general public as soon they found it out?!! Just take a picture of Reeva meeting Ryan and send it to a news paper. End of story.

Blink showed up at the end. Hurray!! She spend the whole season 2 complaining and complaining and complaining some more!

Season one had a better script and better action sequences.
