Not Exactly Fargo-esque
gbkimberley2 November 2020
As entertaining as this fourth season is, it hasn't exactly been made in the same style or type of story telling that was set with the movie and the three seasons preceding this fourth one.

Still very watchable though and especially if you enjoy storys set around American gangsters.

Episode 407

Warning: Spoilers
The show is still watchable, but it just feels like it is dragging at this point. We're not getting anything surprising at this point.

Misdirection
Hitchcoc4 November 2020
All the forces seem to be fighting on their own terms. Misleading information is a catalyst here. It would seem war is inevitable, but who are the forces that are battling? That's what we will find out next time. The nasty brother has been betrayed and he ain't happy. I agree that this has slipped away from Fargo, but it is wildly entertaining.

It doesnt even have to be FARGO to be Fargo and that's what makes its great.

This is amazing TV period. People need to stop spending time comparing it to everything else and the previous installments. It's in its own lane. It can be whatever it wants to be. If it was the "same" then you'd probably be complaining as well.

As good as the rest
CulvertonSmith3 November 2020
Outside of the great world building, characters, and tension--all of which helps to make this episode and season as great as it is--I really appreciate the slightly different approach to the show this time around. It still feels like the same television series in many of the crucial ways, but the different location and evolution of the story really makes this whole thing quite refreshing. I don't know whether a fourth season would have worked without something new injected into the mix, but I do know that what we have is really good and well worth the wait.

It's also amazing how well Noah Hawley still manages to surprise the audience, in spite of the fact that the promise of death is given at the beginning of each season. We all know that some people won't make it out alive, but it's incredibly engaging to watch the steps that lead to bloodshed along the way. The show was very thrilling and tense this week, and I cannot wait to see how this whole thing continues in the last few episodes.

Josto goes full Lester Nygaard mode!

Warning: Spoilers
Not much really to say. The pieces are being moved into place for the final episodes and it is wonderful to watch. Josto's master plan reminds me Lester from season 1, and I love it.

Acting is solid, characters have depth, the episode was both tense and emotional, and I'm looking forward to the final episode.

Style over Substance

Show is moving at a snails pace. This is another episode where little to nothing happens.

This absolutely does not disappoint! I'm really enjoying this season throughout. I've had my doubts in the first three episodes but then it went smoothly from there onwards! Can't wait for the next!

Good move Loy. Slow but promising storyline!
mehmetozsurunc2 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Gaetano is free now, but will he believe in Loy's words or will he attack on Cannon family? Cause' he doesn't seem so smart by now. I think the 8th episode should be a climax in terms of the continuation of my thoughts on this riveting plot. By the way this is not a real Fargo show. Maybe a well-organized crime story... Don't ask silly questions to yourself or to Noah. Enjoy it!

Tripe

Warning: Spoilers
Just like the year 2020, this Fargo Season started bad, and it's getting worse as it goes along.

Writing and acting is complete abysmal non-sense.

I feel sorry for the costume and scenery people who have their names attached to this garbage. They did a good job.

Don't waste your time.
