Held the attention

Gerardo Torres Rodríguez playing Héctor was perfect for the role. He's cute and sexy but not classically good looking and has a bit of an air of bewilderment about him rather than a knowingness that someone performing unsimulated sex in a feature film might be expected to have. I wasn't sure I would be able to watch the whole film as I was worried there'd be too much porn and not enough story but he carried it off perfectly almost singlehandedly.

Héctor wanted to do this trip to the capital with his secret lover Carlos but the latter chickened out at the last moment. Héctor therefore decided that apart from doing the nude photoshoot he'd come for he'd "always say yes" while he was there.

We see his sexual adventures in detail with a variety of guys and situations, some of which he has sought out and others that happen seemingly spontaneously.

I was actually interested in his progress. I felt for him during two bitter disappointments that he experienced while in Mexico City. I applauded inwardly his decision to see how far he could take himself.

I didn't expect the epilogue and found it slightly contrived. Nonetheless, it was a satisfactory ending and one that I hadn't seen coming.

The sex scenes were, well, tasteful. This wasn't "in yer face" American style porno, not even the more refined Cadinot style. Nothing was hidden and the action was visible, but it was pretty restrained and somehow not titillating or salacious. The film is well worth its running time and seven stars.

not bad

In bizarre manner, the innocence is the basic virtue of this film about difference, a proposition, a long way to capital , adventures- in a familiar chain , and the happiness of the end. A nice film, naive, of course, poor- in many senses, but not bad. But touching in some measure. So, Siempre Si.

Too narrow
dakenson-9313 September 2021
It completely fails to transmit feeling, worse yet, it doesn't even come close to exploring any conflict and is so offset from reality that it's simply boring.

Art-house excuse for a gay porn movie
johannes2000-121 September 2022
This is basically a gay porn movie, with a vague storyline to bind the various sex-scenes together. This story (a guy coming to the big City of Mexico City, hoping to extend his sexual limits), combined with (intended) appropriate music and (intended) profound and poetical written texts between the scenes, apparently serves to upgrade this porn movie to a slightly more main stream level.

To me that purpose didn't work. The story is wafer-thin, next to non-existent, the written texts are pretentious, and nice music alone doesn't make for a good movie. It didn't help either that main character Hector is hardly attractive to watch (not unimportant in such a sexual movie), nor are his sex-partners: all big, hairy and beefy (but that's of course a matter of personal taste).

I have nothing against porn, but I don't need it disguised as art-house. Either make a solid porn flick, or make a movie that combines realistic sexual content with a serious involving story. But this poor excuse is neither.

One of the worst "films" I have ever watched
carlosascorve2 March 2023
I found this "film" on a list of good gay erotica movies and I cant believe how bad this experience was.

For me, the main problem is that it feels empty. It has non existing story, vacuous and forced dialogue, actors with no charisma and cero experience, unappealing s*x scenes, bad music, pretencious "profound" quotes, and 80% of the scenes are gratuitous and worthless.

The director should be banned from "directing" another "film", the writer from "writing" ever again, and the "actors" from "acting".

Please, dont waste your time in this excuse of a gay porn film. There are thousands of videos with better s*x scenes and better looking men.
