Cute Kelly and the most annoying Hallmark mother ever.
rebekahrox4 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
No doubt we will see a lot of grouchyfaces bashing Kelly Pickler's acting skills just like we did with her first foray into Hallmark land, the hugely popular Christmas at Graceland. Well I thought she was adorable in this one and the chemistry between her and Wes Brown was solid. She was cute, perky, cheerful, and authentic. She certainly has a lot more spark than most of the cookie-cutter Hallmark actresses. In this one the couple have to deal her cold sulky father and his overbearing steamroller of a mother who will stop at nothing to hijack the wedding. The plot is tension filled while we wait in vain for Kelly and Wes to put the parents in their place. This doesn't happen, but they do realize the error of their ways eventually and all ends with a perfect wedding at Graceland. The lack of a huge telling off and catharsis knocks this down a bit, but all in all, this was better than the first one.

If you can't say something nice...
debejere17 June 2019
This was so forced. Just didn't have the flow it should have. I was wanting this to be over the top good. It was just "almost over the top" goofy. Disappointed...that just my taste.

Exxtreme pluses and minuses
Jackbv12327 July 2019
Pickler is not great but she doesn't ruin it as much as the parents of the couple did. Basically this is the story of a wedding planning trainwreck, so much so I thought it was intentionally horrible. Instead of bridezilla it was momzillas. And Laurel's dad is just as bad. David Keith didn't have to act. He just had to stand and look miserable and condemning. And don't forget the ridiculous wedding planner. Talk about no clue.

Except for the singing, this movie had none of the fun of the Christmas episode. I was starting to wonder if there would be any performances by the stars and the first came just before the half-way point. I'm not the biggest country fan (or Elvis) but the leads nailed it in the one performance. I wasn't as thrilled with the guest performer later, but I'm sure many will be.

Fortunately the last part of the movie dumped the parody motif and became sweet and sappy like a typical Hallmark rom/com.

I can't personally recommend this movie and probably won't watch it again. The good things weren't enough to balance out the bad.

Rubbish ?

I have seen better acting in my local amateur dramatic group. Kellie Pickle looked much older than Wes Brown, and couldn't believe she is in her mid 30's. The actors playing the parents were so over the top it was embarrassing to watch. Then there was the little girl with the precocious grin. I felt sorry for Wes Brown who must have been well paid to appear in this film.

Hallmark, as someone else said, used to produce such reasonably good movies, but whenever there is a wedding in the movie its clearly an excuse for manic acting by all. Here in the UK, we love a good wedding, but it appears to be on a whole different level in the U.S if these films are anything to go by, and an event to run from in the opposite direction !!!

prepaires of wedding
Kirpianuscus19 March 2022
The prepaires of a wedding,a maniacal organiser, a couple who works very bad at level of chemistry between them and te parents saving some pieces of story. Good intentions and Graceland. And togh effort of Eric Close to convince public about resoanable purpoises behind story. But his effort seems very far by target.

One wedding that lacks grace
TheLittleSongbird5 May 2022
Expectations were extremely mixed for 'Wedding at Graceland'. Wes Brown is one of those always worth watching leading men, one of the more consistent Hallmark male regulars, despite too many times where he is much better than the film itself. There are quite a number of decent and more 2019 Hallmark films. What dampened expectations were Kellie Pickler, who has never been a good actress, and how Hallmark does not have the best of track records when it comes to wedding-themed films.

'Wedding at Graceland' doesn't change that track record, if anything it reinforces it. It also certainly doesn't change my opinion of Pickler, who is as bad as she was in 'Christmas at Graceland' (which is just as bad a film but marginally worse perhaps). When it comes to Hallmark's wedding-themed films, while not one of the absolute worst (i.e. 'Beverly Hills Wedding') it is in the lower end and this is not being said with pleasure.

Lets start with the good. The best thing about it is Brown, who is charismatic and charming in the way that the rest of the cast weren't. Close behind are the production values, especially the lovely setting that the camera was clearly in love with.

Some of the music is not bad and has a nice nostalgia, likewise with the singing.

Pickler however is terrible, both trying too hard and is painfully stiff, it was pretty uncomfortable to watch her. Of the rest of the cast, the only other one to stand out in a bad way is a very stiff and over compensating Priscilla Presley in a very annoying role that gets old fast. Only Brown stands out of the cast and to me there wasn't enough warmth or emotional connection in the chemistry between him and Pickler, which badly undermines the romantic angle of the story. Which in itself was not developed enough. The direction tends to be pedestrian and only Brown's character was likeable or interesting. Presley's especially irritated.

Also risible is the excessively cheesy and repetitive script, that goes well overkill on the childishness and cutesiness, the Momzilla antics got on my nerves very, very quickly. The story is paper thin and has no surprises, charm, fun or heart whatsoever. Much of it drags as a result of stretching the thin material out too much and the middle act is just cringe-worthy beyond words. The ending is too neat and could easily have happened earlier than it did.

Very weak all in all. 3/10.

Someone Throw Wes Brown a Rope!
chiltonsjillfreeport11 December 2020
Lordy. Please consider yourself forewarned: romance and feel-good sentiments are awfully thin on the ground in Wedding at Graceland.

Wes Brown is his usual charming self as concert promoter Clay Shepherd. He's really doing the lord's work here alongside co-star Kellie Pickler, who cannot act her way out of a thin, wet paper bag. Forget romantic chemistry; this is make-you-blush bad acting.

What we have in place of sparks or a real plot are two Momzillas and a maniacal event planner steamrolling the happy couple while planning a wedding at Graceland.

Sprinkle a few Elvis songs and a steamboat ride over the top and you've got one pitifully thin movie.

Graceland is a Magical Place!!
treakle_19782 June 2019
Kellie Pickle,Wes Brown and David Keith lead a great cast in this charming follow up to Christmas at Graceland. Sure hallmark movies are known to be cheesy and predictable but for me there real. This movie shows us what it's like to plan a wedding in a short time with all the issues that arise usually days before the wedding. I found this movie to be fun and as always it's nice to hear Kellie and Wes sing. They have great chemistry and I'm hoping for a third movie to complete this possible trilogy. Definitely worth watching.

Biggest Hallmark Supporter
kjdesignu2 June 2019
I defend Hallmark movies, love them all and look forward to every Saturday night. This movie, however, was a rare moment for me to turn it off. The character casting was all wrong, and the acting was embarrassing. My first Hallmark movie I wouldn't give 5 stars.

Kellie Pickler Is Not An Actress
fthisbs9 June 2019
This movie has the same problems as Christmas at Graceland, and throws in a few more. Kellie Pickler again shows us that she is not an actress and has not extended her reach to try to be one. Her chewy, downriver accent is painful to the ear, and makes it hard to stick with the whole movie. The main co-stars of the movie have zero chemistry. I kept expecting there to be a plot twist where he turns out to be the villain. The parents of both couples were cast equally flippantly. There's just no one to root for here, no investment in their journey, and no excitement about the outcome. Please stop casting non-actors in main roles. It's painful to try to watch.

Wedding at graceland
krichter-247249 June 2019
I turned it off. This was one of the worst hallmark movies I have ever watched. Kellie Pickler is the worst. Please don't put her in anymore movies. She is not realistic. Wes Brown is a good actor and I have liked everything he's been in. I also think the script to this movie needed helped. To put Kellie in this was criminal. I haven't been watching hallmark much lately because your movies aren't very good. I totally loved bottled with love, all of my heart and December bride. Please make more movies like that. I taped them and rewatch them over and over. Please, want to see more of Lacey Chabert, Joy Lenz and Jessica Lowndes. Please do a sequel 4 to All of my heart and sequel 2 to a December Bride, but leave out Pauline Egan, not a good actress, she's too stiff. I really like the new one "a feeling of home" and the acting was great. Loved Jonna Walsh and Nathan Parsons both refreshing and good actors. Wedding at Graceland, I recorded it initially but deleted it. Won't watch it again. Hallmark go back to making the lovely movies you used to make! Thanks

It bad.

This was a pretty good movie for a romance. They should have gotten somebody else for the first dance song. Lee Brice butchered it.

Wasted movie (again)/Painful to watch
agambre13 June 2019
Hallmark, please don't cast Kellie Pickler as the lead again. You wasted two movies with her as lead that could have been watchable. Kellie needs to stick with singing although most of her songs lately aren't good either. She has no acting ability at all. Her "twang" is sooooo painful to hear. So sorry for Wes!!!!

Embarrassingly tasteless
piaktw9 September 2021
Ridiculously poor acting, grown-ups and children alike, about a trashy white wedding set at Graceland (duh). There are reasonably acceptable Hallmark movies = 3, there are bad ones = 2 and there are really bad ones. Like this one. Please don't waste your time.

And Priscilla Presley playing herself, poor woman, plastic surgery overload.

Such a tasteless movie.

Warning: Spoilers
I do like the fact that this movie was filmed on location in Memphis, and felt that there was an authenticity there that you don't always sense as a viewer in other Hallmark movies that take place in NY or Seattle.

Otherwise, though that was a bright spot, this movie contained a few missed beats for me. It's just a hard sell to expect viewers to continue to watch these place-holder, in-between movies that depict the months leading up to a wedding. I would argue that, though wedding planning might make for good drama, it really doesn't develop the characters in a way that is satisfying. Anyone who has planned a wedding could probably attest that the process is draining, stressful, and places strain on family ties.

I think I would have enjoyed seeing our characters grow as a family more, or maybe we could have gotten to interact more with characters we'd met in the first film or even new characters. True to Hallmark fashion, we could have had Laurel and Clay match-make friends, enjoy family walks, and enjoy summer in the city with extended family. There was plenty of conflict as Laurel and Clay's parents interacted with one another, and it felt like entirely too much conflict when the whole wedding imploded at the last moment.

In the next installment in Laurel and Clay's story, I hope to see more time as a family as they learn to love one another in the city that has become home.
