Bubbles is thrilled to meet Wayne Gretzky in person when their hockey rivals and Ricky ruin his chances. They arrange a hockey match in Sunnyvale to take back the Stanley Bong. Bubbles helps set up the ice rink and Ricky abducts pro hockey player Nathan MacKinnon to help take their rivals down.
They take Nathan out to dinner and after a failed dine-n-dash, Nathan is arrested. They have the greasy lawyer bail him out and bring him to Sunnyvale. With his help, they win the match and the Stanley Bong.
This episode shows that The Animated Series gives them the freedom to have anyone on the show. Nathan MacKinnon made an appearance on the show but Wayne Gretzky is legendary. I have a feeling there will be more epic appearances to come.
