A Beautiful, Touching Film!
4 April 2024
I happened to come across this film while perusing Netflix, and I'm so glad I watched it! I love films that take place in Ireland, and what an amazing cast!

Dame Maggie Smith has definitely aged since the Harry Potter films, but she is just as amazing as always, as well as funny! Kathy Bates impressed me with her Irish accent and was also as amazing as always. I haven't seen any films with Laura Linney before, but she's a really great actress! So was the young lady who portrayed Dolly (can't remember her name).

This film is really more about forgiveness than miracles, and that's what makes it so touching. I actually teared up a few times. There aren't enough films made about friendships between women. There need to be more - especially ones like this one!

My Daughter and I Loved It!!!
21 March 2024
This is the film we were hoping for! If you're a fan of the original and AFTERLIFE, you will enjoy this one! It hit all the modern and nostalgic marks, it was full of action, it had a great story, and awesome ghosts! I personally loved the continuity from AFTERLIFE and the original GHOSTBUSTERS, as well as the developing relationships between the newer cast members. The callbacks to the original story were both funny and heartwarming, as well as integrated seamlessly into the newest outing. A lot of familiarity and cool Easter Eggs are throughout the film. They even bring back the theme song by RPJ! 💚💚

The Hammer (2023)

Excellent!
17 January 2024
Loved this movie! It was great seeing Reba and Melissa together again, as well as Reba and Rex! Interesting storyline with colorful characters - and Reba was cool and a hoot! I wish Hulu or Netflix would pick this up as a series! It would be excellent to see all the different cases that "The Hammer" would have to judge, while also helping take care of her ailing father. It would be nice to see some romance in her life, too - something this movie had no time for. So, when Reba is finished on The Voice, she should return to being The Hammer! Hopefully Melissa and Rex would return, too, as well as the young lady who played her bailiff.

Walker, Texas Ranger: Till Death Do Us Part (1994)
Season 3, Episode 5

Emotional!
24 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Love this episode written by Sheree J. Wilson, who plays Alex Cahill. It's full of drama, emotions, and some humor. I love the flashbacks, the relationship development between Walker and Alex, Walker's family showing up at the hospital when he's hurt, all of it!

It's just like Walker to sacrifice himself to save others, like he does when he saves the mother and daughter, and poor Alex has to witness it all! No one can keep her from reaching Walker when he's hurt and no one can make her leave the hospital while he's in a coma! Her true feelings for Walker come to the surface when she nearly loses him!

No one so far has written Alex as well as Sheree has in this episode. Wish she had written more.

Wrong Winner
19 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I've been watching this show for about 10 years and decided to go back and watch it from the beginning. This is the first episode where I did not agree with their choice of champion. I think Matthew did a much better job; that Geoffrey got mad; and that Amanda and Scott gave into him. Geoffrey seems to have matured a lot since Season Two, thank goodness. Verbally stating that he gets angry when people don't agree with him - which he did in this episode - is petty and childish, as well as disrespectful to the other judges and the show itself. There are three judges for a reason or it would be The Geoffrey Zakarian Show, which it is not.

Dramatic and Heartbreaking!
10 February 2023
So many reviews have complained that this episode was slow and boring, but I found it compelling and striking. How many of us have truly thought about what our ancestors went through? I can't even imagine!

I've seen Tim McGraw in several acting roles before, and he's great as always, but this is the first thing I've seen Faith Hill in - her character is feisty, beautiful, strong, and wonderful, as is Isabel May as their daughter.

I'm really enjoying this show and cannot wait to see what happens next. My husband really likes it, too. It's nice to have something interesting to watch together that we're also learning history from.

Heartbreaking 💔
4 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
My husband and I saw it coming the moment Clay answered the phone, and yet it was still so heartbreaking. At least the writers didn't totally steal Chris Kyle's death and have the other soldier kill Clay; so having the security guard do it was shocking. That security guard better be held accountable, though, and Clay wasn't even pointing the gun at him! Very tragic end to what could have been a happy ending for a disabled vet. Now everyone is playing the Blame Game for Clay's death. Was glad to see that Stella isn't taking part in it. She was just thankful to have her husband back before it happened. Poor Brian will never know his remarkable father. Hopefully he'll learn someday from Bravo Team.

A Fitting Finale to the Franchise!
8 September 2022
After reading so many negative reviews, I felt I must speak up. I've seen every film in the theater, and have enjoyed them all! After "Fallen Kingdom," this was exactly the type of ending I was expecting. It was awesome seeing characters from the originals and the newer ones working together to survive; it was great seeing some new characters introduced, who held their own with the stars; and it was nostalgic seeing some of the original dinosaurs from the first trilogy, along with newer species. I think the story made sense, the jerky villain got what he deserved, there were incredible dinosaur fights, and our beloved characters got as happy an ending as was possible. 💙💙

My daughter loves it more than I do.
26 March 2010
This installment doesn't quite live up to the first two, however, it's my 6-year-old daughter's favorite of the three ... so, go figure? My favorite happens to be "The Santa Clause 2," because of the romance aspect, plus young Lucy is adorable and it was neat to see Charlie 8 years later.

Martin Short is great as Jack Frost, it's a real treat to see Ann-Margret and Alan Arkin as Carol's parents and it's great seeing all the originals from the first two films back for the third (a rare feat in Hollywood).

The overall trilogy is absolutely great and fun for the entire family to watch, plus all the extras on the DVDs are a lot of fun, too.

Remington Steele (1982–1987)
10/10
Best Romantic Detective Show Ever!
14 November 2005
Detective shows with male/female partners were big in the 1980s ("Scarecrow & Mrs. King," "Moonlighting," "Hart to Hart," etc.), and of all of them, "Remington Steele" was the absolute best. I was totally hooked on this show in high school, and for good reason! Stephanie Zimbalist and Pierce Brosnan are both not only terrific actors, but they had the best on screen chemistry ever. The premise of the show was clever, the writing was intelligent and the characters were real. An episode could bring you to tears ("Red Holt Steele") or keep you laughing throughout ("Steele in the Chips"). Above all were the romantic episodes ("Steele Away With Me," "Steele At It," "Love Among the Steele," etc.), where the writers would keep the audience guessing -- will they or won't they *finally* get together? Oh, and Doris Roberts was great as Mildred Krebs, even when she was FOREVER interrupting Steele and Miss Holt at the most inopportune times. I'm totally thrilled that this series is finally coming out on DVD. I'll even buy the Fifth Season, even though it was totally disappointing, as I *have* to have the complete set! I highly recommend this show to everyone.

Higglytown Heroes (2004–2008)
A Great Concept!
9 October 2004
I watched this program for the first time this morning with my 11-month-old and she never took her eyes off it. I think she liked the bright colors and she loved the music. I think it's a great new show for toddlers and she will learn a lot from it over the next couple of years.

While it is a little odd how the characters jump inside of each other, it's still a great show that teaches children all about the heroes of their town, such as police officers, firemen, store owners and even their own family members. I hope it stays on for at least four or five years. I think my daughter will really enjoy growing up watching it.

Thanks Playhouse Disney for this new wonderful show!

Wonderful family show!
9 December 2002
I loved this show and was very disappointed that ABC (and Disney) didn't give it a chance. It had great storylines by terrific writers, a very talented cast (was especially thrilled to see Faye Grant back on television!) and it always gave me a good feeling after watching it. We need more shows like this on television and less of the reality programming "crap" that all of the networks have gone overboard with.

Reba (2001–2007)
REBA: A hidden comic talent!
20 February 2002
Reba McEntire may be known the world over as the Queen of Country Music, but not many people knew she was a comedienne, too. Well, they'll learn this quickly if they tune in to her new hit sitcom, "Reba," Friday nights on The WB. Now at mid-season, Reba has truly hit her stride and is more than holding her own with the more experienced actors on the show (Christopher Rich, Park Overall, Julia Duffy), because Reba is naturally funny. She's been compared to Lucille Ball for good reason: not just because they're both red heads, but because Reba can be just as goofy and hysterical as Lucy ever was. Check out this show. You won't be sorry!

The Heights (1992)
Wonderful show not given a chance
28 November 2001
I was very disappointed when this show was cancelled, because I thought it was excellent. The cast members weren't only gifted actors, but very talented musicians and singers (they played their own instruments and did their own singing). I think it's a shame that the networks don't give shows a chance to find an audience these days. This show was pulled after only 12 episodes, which sometimes isn't enough. If you're ever able to find an episode on TV or available at the video store, I highly recommend it. And if you're really lucky to come across the soundtrack to this show, buy it! I bought it when it came out in 1992 and still enjoy it today. In addition to "How Do You Talk to An Angel," it has many, many great songs.

Hello Again (1987)
Shelley Long is adorable!
8 May 2001
I don't know why so many people have slammed this movie in the comments section. I have seen this film numerous times and find it hilarious and Shelley Long adorable. No, this is not a film that requires a lot of deep thinking and analyzing, but it's not supposed to be. It's a light-hearted, romantic comedy that achieves its goal -- it entertains you, makes you laugh and touches your heart. It need not try to do anymore than that. Shelley Long, Judith Ivey, Gabriel Byrn and Sela Ward all give great performances, as does the rest of the supporting cast.

Long Journey Back (1978 TV Movie)

Stephanie Zimbalist shines in this one!
20 September 1999
This fact-based drama is about a high school teenager's courageous fights after a school bus accident leaves her emotionally and physically handicapped. Stephanie Zimbalist (star of "Remington Steele") gives an outstanding performance as young Celia, the teenager who is the focus of the story. Wonderful performances are also given by Cloris Leachman (as her mother), Mike Connors (as her father) and Katy Kurtzman (as her younger sister).

The overall story is how this family comes to cope with and get through a very tragic situation. It is very believable, touching and, by the end, extremely uplifting. I would recommend this movie to everyone!

Hepburn and Bogart are brilliant!
20 September 1999
Katharine Hepburn (the greatest actress of all time!) and Humphrey Bogart (a legend, who won an Oscar for this film) are absolutely superb in this wonderful, romantic adventure! The spinster (Hepburn) and the drunkard (Bogart) travel downriver in Africa during World War II, fighting the Germans and each other! This film will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time, and if you're not laughing, you'll be crying.

This classic was directed by the late John Huston (father of Angelica) and filmed on location in the Belgian Congo, which is just gorgeous! I could watch it every week if I had the time -- it's that great and something I could never tire of!

The Greatest Television Show EVER!!!
19 January 1999
My summary is no exaggeration! I just started watching this show at the beginning of Season Five, but thanks to pre-recorded videos and FX, I have now seen every single episode and can say with authority that this is the smartest, sexiest and most intelligent show ever to grace the small screen! David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson bring such depth to their characters (Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, respectively), the writing, directing and cinematography are good enough to grace the silver screen (and did in the summer of '98!), and the plots are imaginative, intriguing and downright "SPOOKY"! Tune in just once and you, too, will be hooked!!!!
