Cruel Intentions 2 (2000 Video)
Great build up... lousy ending!
1 March 2001
All in all, this prequel to box office success "Cruel Intentions" wasn't all that bad at first. The first ten minutes was kinda cute, which one only understands if they've seen the original "Cruel Intetions". The movie's lack of Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe kind of sucks. However, if you have a very good imagination, you can picture Gellar and Phillippe playing the roles. The dialogue fits perfectly with the character and Amy Adams (Kathryn) does a wonderful job impersonating the role like Gellar would have done.

You have all the roles as in the first flick: the dopey and slow geek, the gay undertone, and of course, the female kiss(es).

The ending REALLY sucks as one character goes from perfectly innocent, to total slut, to the shocker secret. I was waiting for the final scene to be like the original film's, but it never came.

If you liked Cruel Intentions, see the second and do your best to envision Gellar and Phillippe in the roles. It'll help.

Titans (2000–2001)
TITANS saves us from reality-tv with "Dynasty" 2000!
8 October 2000
What's tv without a steamy Aaron Spelling production! That's right, the man that brought you "Melrose Place" and "Beverly Hills 90210" is getting back on top with TITANS. The new guilty pleasure that oozes with unlimited wealth and intoxicating beauty cooks up prime-time with rich people in complicated situations. Yasmine Bleeth leads an all-star cast as Heather Lane, the young and manipulative gold-digging new wife of Richard Williams (Perry King), the wealthy owner of a powerful international company. It just so happens that Richard's son Chandler (played by hunky Casper Van Dien) had a rompy relationship with his new step-mom two months earlier. Heather, dropping the bombshell that she's pregnant with Chandler's child DURING her wedding, goes head-to-head with Richard's ex-wife Gwen (played by former Dallas babe Victoria Principal) who lives right across the street. Jennie (Elizabeth Bogush), a recovering alcoholic and Laurie (Josie Davis), the owner of dance club Pulse, share sibling rivalry when David (General Hospital's Ingo Rademacher) arrives on the scene to romance the sisters. Business son Peter (John Barrowman) has eyes for the family secretary Samantha (Lourdes Benedicto), who has eyes for only Chandler. The troubled family gets even more complicated when Uncle Jack (Jack Wagner of "Melrose Place") takes over the family empire after brother Richard dies before episode 6 and kicks up a relationship with sister-in-law Gwen.

Secret pasts, sibling rivalry, steamy sex, battling the bottle, and untimely death is flooding TITANS. Just think... all that and only 6 episodes have been shot so far. Forget the dying "Millionaire" rage and sink your teeth into TITANS!

All-time best classic...the pioneer of disaster films!
16 September 2000
Since I've been 5 years old, this disaster movie from Irwin Allen has been the must see movie my whole life. I'm only 16, I've seen the teenslasher/drama flicks with the whole 'Scream' trilogy and 'Cruel Intentions' hits, but nothing has pulled my strings as this film has.

This 70's film, which nabbed two out of the nine academy awards it was up for (music and special effects), was the pioneer of all the disaster flicks. Poseidon is to credit for the spark of suspense movies such as Earthquake, The Towering Inferno, and Avalanche.

When a cruise liner is capsized during a New Year's Eve voyage, the handful of survivors played by an all-star cast fight their way to the bottom of the now overturned boat. Battling rising water, boat-rocking explosions, out of control flames, and the race against time before the luxury liner sinks, only the toughest passengers come out alive.

Gene Hackman, Shelly Winters, and Erniest Borgnine truly deliever with extrodinary acting talents put to use in an original and attention nabbing plot, making this film a golden classic for future generations.

Melrose Place (1992–1999)
10/10
Dynasty on Steroids
20 August 2000
Melrose was, without a doubt, THE show of the 90's. Spawn from the popular 90210, Melrose developed into a show of backstabbing, bitterness, and bitchiness, a quality no other show since has mastered. For three seasons, the show brought grade A camp and sleaziness to television. Backstabbing, betrayl, lies, weddings, murder, affairs, setups, and shocking twists all lead up to the explosive third season finale in which crazy Kimberly caused the entire Melrose complex to explode. After the fiery (and much hyped) forth season premiere, the show went too far with ridiculous storylines and complicated twists. Instead of being a pleasure to watch, it became a puzzle to figure out. By the end of the season, Jane was burying Richard alive, Kimberly was calling herself Betsy and giving lobotomies to Peter, and Billy was the top dog at D&D. The show did MAJOR changes behind the scenes and returned with an intriging fifth season, full of twists and turns that kept you on the edge of your seat. However, by season's end, Melrose had lost a lot of key players. Though the fifth season finale pulled the steamy cliffhanger of Sydney hit by a car on her wedding day, Melrose was facing a large gap to fill in the sixth season. With no Jake, Alison, Kimberly, Jo, Sydney, or Jane, MP was in BIG trouble. They tried to fill in the absence with Lexi, Coop, Craig, Jennifer, and Megan, but it didn't take. Rotten storylines and the neverending Christine's death saga dragged the show to the pits. After nearly facing cancellation, MP retooled once again and returned the summer of 1998 (only to lose Billy, Samantha, Jennifer, Coop, and Taylor). But it was too late to save the sinking ship. Though the seventh season showed promise with sexy Lexi going up against Amanda and Kyle's sterility problem, 4616 Melrose Place got it's eviction notice and aired the "unforgettable" final episodes. The series finale lacked that Melrose kick only supplied by the true unforgettable characters, Kimberly and Sydney.

Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–2000)
For 10 Years, they were MY family.
20 August 2000
Warning: Spoilers
This is the show that helped me get through the 90's! From sophomores in high school to college graduates, I was hooked to the entire gang. I will never forget Brandon, Kelly, Steve, Donna, Dylan, Valerie, David, Brenda, Noah, or Clare. In 1990, Aaron Spelling (Dynasty, Love Boat, Charlie's Angels) unleashed the FOX teen drama Beverly Hills 90210, a show based on the lives of the rich, snobbish high school students of Beverly Hills. Who would have known the show would last 10 years? New to California, siblings Brandon and Brenda made friends with the students of West Beverly High. Through high school, David witnessed best buddy Scott accidentally shoot himself, Donna kept her virginity, Brandon and Andrea became great friends, Steve was the sexed up prankster, and Brenda found out Dylan and Kelly were together when she was in Paris. After graduating West Beverly, the gang moved onto college. Donna got involved with abusive musician Ray, Brandon and Kelly dated, Brenda moved away, Dylan got married only to have his bride shot and killed by his rival, bitchy Valerie moved into the Walsh house and made enemies with Kelly, Kelly's druggie boyfriend Colin got arrested, and many of the gang had already had addictions (Dylan, Kelly, David, Valerie, Colin). After college, the gang got out into the real world. Brandon and Kelly nearly married, Dylan returned, Valerie accused Noah of rape, Steve met and married Janet after getting her pregnant, Donna's sister Gina moved to Beverly Hills, and in the end, Donna and David got married. The memories will never be forgotten. Kelly getting shot at LAX, Donna loosing her virginity to David on graduation night, Dylan's father "killed" in a car explosion, Kelly caught in a fire at Steve's rave, Brenda/Dylan/Kelly/, Valerie and Kelly rivalry, Andrea sleeping with married man, Gina slapping Kelly, and David and Donna's series finale wedding. Dylan, Kelly, Brandon, David, Donna, Brenda, Steve, Valerie, Clare, Andrea, Gina, Noah, Carly, Matt, and Ray: You will never be forgotten!

The in Crowd (2000)
10/10
Rich, Evil, Sexy, and Drop Dead Gorgeous people make this film a pleasure to watch.
20 July 2000
This entire film seemed like on of those horrible and unbearable teen flicks, but this movie's got a well rooted plot along with all the action in this film. This flick is basically a Melrose Place movie. Women attacking one another, stealing boyfriends, backstabbing friends, and attempted murders define The In Crowd.

After Adrien is released from a mental hospital due to a violent past she can't remember, she lands a job at a rich country club and is brought into the "in crowd" with the help of Britney, the head of the social circle. Britney and her group of friends take her into the crowd, dress her up, and treat her to the high life. When Adrien's presence poses a threat to Britney, she snoops around, finds out about her merky past, and does anything she can to get Adrien out of her life and away from her group of friends. Britney will stop at nothing, and I mean NOTHING, to get rid of Adrien, but the past resurfaces for Adrien and gets the up the ability to violently fight back.

Don't mess with the In Crowd!

A shocking, edge of your seat love story.
11 June 2000
Very similar to Dangerous Liasons, this film delievers big time. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, and Reese Witherspoon's outstanding performances and the addition of newcomer Selma Blair make Cruel Intentions an unpredictable ride. I haven't seen a more twisting film since Wild Things. The movie revolves around a bet between Kathryn (Gellar) and Sebastian (Phillippe): if he can get the rich girl virgin Annette (Witherspoon) in bed with him, he gets Kathryn in the sack. If she wins, she gets Sebastian's car. Everything goes according to planned until he falls in love with Annette. Their love spirals out of control and drives Kathryn to take desperate measures to seek revenge. The ending is sad, shocking, and the evil, bitchy Kathryn gets what she deserves. If you like the mix of love, betrayal, backstabbing, revenge, and shocking twists, you'll love this movie!

A True Classic!
9 April 2000
Over 20 years since it's release, no other movie has beat this one! Since I've seen this movie as a kid, I've learned every word of this flick within the hundreds of times I've seen it. Watching this film once every two weeks, it never tires. Ranking up their with such classics like The Towering Inferno, the Poseidon Adventure follows a handful of survivors after a tidal wave hits a cruise liner on New Year's Eve. Fighting their way to the bottom of the ship, which is now floating upside down in the ocean as it takes on water, some survive this suspense/action classic while a few die along the way, resting at the bottom of the ocean with the countless others that refused to follow leader Reverend Scott, played by Gene Hackman. Forget Titanic! This movie beats out every movie since, including the very pathetic sequel, Return to the Poseidon.

A movie that has made a permanent mark in the Horror industry.
3 April 2000
Black Christmas was and still is my all time favorite movie, or at least as far as horror flicks go. But this movie isn't the traditional gore fest like this movies followers, Halloween and Friday the 13th. This is more of a creepy, mystery type film. Taking place in the Christmas season, a handful of college girl get picked off one by one curtious of a ranting lunatic who calls the house, yelling and screaming the most disgusting, horrible, body tingling things, followed by a death threat. Taking the police's help, they bug the phone and trace the call. The most hair-standing moments are when the last survivor of the bunch learns that the calls are coming from inside the house, stupidly goes in search of the killer, and after finding dead bodies, hears the psycho ranting once more behind the door and can see the man's evil wide eye peering through the crack of the door. I won't reveal the ending, but it will scare the hell out of you. This movie proves that you don't need tons of gore to pull of a scary film. My advice: DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE AT NIGHT, WHILE ALONE IN YOUR HOME!

Scream 3 ends the Trilogy the right way!
5 February 2000
After the past two films, this one is the best! With an all-star cast a to-die-for plot line, Scream 3 tops my list of the best horror movies. Packed with humor, chase scene after chase scene, well thought plot line, unique death scenes, and the perfect ending for the trilogy that put the spark back into the horror film legacy. In my opinion, Scream 3 beats the Friday the 13th's, Halloween's, and all the other recent follows. A+!

Days of Our Lives (1965– )
Best Drama on Daytime
23 December 1999
I just recently started watching this show for about a year and a half now. I must say, the stories are weird, but interesting. I watched as Sami was framed for Franco's death, Carrie and Mike's affair, the demise of scheming Kristin, and the whole Lucas/Nicole/Eric/Greta thing. Through that, my favorite story was the Ali obsession story. Especially when Ali tried to slit Carrie's throat after driving herself and Mike into a river. But, now a days, I like the Gina story. At first when Hope searched into her past, I never expected to see that the real Princess Gina was still alive and well living in a castle/prison, thanks to Stefano. Now, Gina has set Stefano on fire, faked her death, posing as Hope, locked the real Hope away, and also has Stefano locked in the same room for a week with Hope, one of his mortal enemies! This is getting good! This would all not be possible if it weren't for the brilliant actors, writers, and behind stage people. Making the effects and the juicy plots are exciting. I'll be watching!

P.S.- When will the truth about Franco's death surface?

Scream (1996)
SCREAM is up their with Halloween and Friday the 13th
11 December 1999
This horror movie isn't another one of those cheesy horror flicks. SCREAM lives up to it's name. A movie that will make you scream and laugh, not to mention boggle your mind. Another trademark scary movie from Wes Craven. Can't wait for Scream 3!

Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–2000)
90210: A show that has lost it's kick.
11 December 1999
This show has lost it's footing. Once about a group of high-schoolers surviving in the world, the show quickly slithered through the college year and is now in the after years. In it's final season, the show has the very bitchy Gina (Vanessa Marcil), which is the reason I still watch this show. Every once and a while this show has a good event or shocker, but I prefer the 90210 spin off, MELROSE PLACE. If you liked DALLAS, 90210 is the show for you. If your more of a DYNASTY fan, you would like MELROSE more.

Melrose Place (1992–1999)

MP ful of love, hate, and revenge. That's Melrose for ya!
20 July 1999
Warning: Spoilers
This show was filled with so much stuff, you could barely keep track of who was sleeping with who! This prime-time soap opera was like a 90's version of Dynasty, but better. The show started of with a simmer, but shot off into the Nielsens' ratings when Aaron Spelling brought on Heather Locklear as the bitchy Amanda Woodward and when Dr. Kimberly Shaw returned from the dead after "dying" in a car wreck with fiancee Michael. If people were to describe Melrose Place, you would hear all of these: murder, sex, adultry, backstabbing, secrets, lies, jeolousy, and hate. The show was in the top of the Nielsens by the end of the 1994-1995 season when psycho Kimberly planted four bombs in the famous apartment complex. After seven seasons, I've managed to pick ten moments that were the most memorable. Here they are, but not in order:

1. Kimberly Shaw shows up on the beach watching Michael and Sydney, after "dying" in a fiery car wreck.

2. Jane and Sydney struggle in the Melrose pool over the family heirloom wedding dress.

3. The famous Melrose Place pool side explosion, thanks to wacko Kimberly who had set the thing up to kill everyone.

4. Sydney is struck and killed by Samantha's car, seconds after marrying Craig Field.

5. Kimberly rips off her wig to reveal a huge scar on her head.

6. Amanda punches Taylor after finding out she was sleeping with Peter.

7. Kimberly runs over Michael in Jane's car.

8. A drunk Brooke hits her head by the pool and drowns, while Billy and Alison are heading on a date.

9. Amanda accidentally causes her long lost husband Jack Parezi to fall from a balcony.

10. Richard Hart is buried alive when his hand comes shooting out from the dirt like something from the movie "Carrie".
