This is a good movie. It is a tragic love story. But worth watching all the same. Although the plot is weak, the inner threads are strong and the end is not what we expect. This is what makes the movie worth watching after all. Kevin Costner is often seen in what seems to be his favourite environment - water.

The story is an oft-repeated one - humans tampering with nature and reaping the evil effects. Only this time sharks are the animals. Watch this film if you have nothing else to do. The only minor modifications to the usual script are that the over-curious scientist is a female and she pays for it with her life. The guys escape unharmed.

This is a very good sci-fi film from the Master himself, Paul Verhoeven. It is about an inter-civilisational war. For a change Earth is not just at the receiving end. We give back good as we get and sometimes better. There is a human side to this story as well. Lots of beautiful and yuppie young things in this movie, and of course well-directed.

This movie is full of jokes but they don't make you laugh. I felt really sleepy watching this movie. But that is probably because of my age. I recommend this movie for all those under 15 years of age. The main aspect here is Chris Farley's size and that is thoroughly used - more than is necessary.

This is a true account of one phase of American author Ernest Hemingway's life. It is set during World War 1 and Hemingway is a soldier on the Western Front. He falls in love with a nurse and a woman who is older than him. This would be a normal love story but when you know that it was a real life episode it is better. However, things don't work out well in the end. Life does not have happy endings always. Good movie if you want to feel sentimental

This is a movie with a lot of sex but with virtually no story. If you just want to get a kick viewing a lot of sexual activity then this is your kind of movie. But if you prefer erotic stories that have a good story also skip this one.

This is a movie that attempts to combine horror with erotica. The horror aspect is the succubus and the erotic aspect is the succubus seducing a married man. There are a number of love scenes which are mildly erotic. Nothing to get too excited about. Good for teenagers.

This is the best Bond movie involving Pierce Brosnan. I won't say that it is the best Bond movie ever because each Bond movie is specific to its time. But for once Brosnan shows that he can be mean as well when he kills "Elektra" towards the end. Denise Richards has a very full figure that is put to good use in the movie but she is definitely a misfit as a physicist. Renard is not the best Bond villain I have seen but I guess he passes of ok. Do see it.

This movie is very good because it has a good unpredictable plot and good actors. There are lots of witty situations and dialogues in the movie. Some of the wit is pretty harsh but it is great all the same. Make sure you watch this movie.

The story, acting and direction in this movie are of high quality. The story is not an impossible one - a huge rock headed for the earth and the countermeasures required to protect life as we know it. What is better is that it lacks the usual American jingoistic fervour that usually comes with such movies. It will be enjoyed by audiences everywhere. I don't have to add that the special effects are great. I strongly recommend this movie to one and all.

This is one of those all-brawn no-brain movies from Hollywood. But you will found it interesting. The story will pass but the direction and special effects are good. You will enjoy all the catchy one-liners and phrases. I quite strongly recommend this movie if you are in the mood for an action movie. It also depicts a futuristic law-and-order scenario which I don't think is impossible.

The reason I went to see this story is to see the revenge bit. But I had to wait until the after the intermission for this. The film could have paid more attention to the revenge (which is the main attraction to the male audience), showing how the woman elaborately sets her trap for her male victims. But all that gets over in double quick time. I would rate it as only 2/10 for erotic effect and 3/10 for story.

I would rate this film 4/10. The story is common and there is nothing scary or new about it. This is a bit of a disappointment from the director of "Escape from LA" and "Big Trouble in Little China". However, if you haven't seen a vampire movie before, or are still new to the vampire field, then do check this out.

I enjoyed this movie. Linda Fiorentino plays her part as a scheming and seductive woman very well. Although there is nothing original about the theme, it has been well directed without going over cliched scenes. If you see this don't miss the sequel which was released in 1999 with the same title. However, Joan Severance is the actress in the sequel.

This movie has a lot of sexual jokes and references which are funny if they are shown on occasions. But when the whole movie is on this and toilet jokes it becomes kind of boring. I fell sleepy watching the antics of Little Me. However, if you get to see Madonna's music video for this movie you will be better off because it is quite stimulating. If you missed this movie, don't worry you didn't miss much.

This movie is too good for words. See this by all means if you have not already done so. I saw this movie thrice and would not mind doing so again. John Travolta makes a very good come-back into movies with this film. Far better than Broken Arrow. And Nicholas Cage compliments him very well. The fact that the y act so well is apparent from the fact that your sympathies keep changing on who the current gooodie and baddie are. Initially, Travolta is the goodie but halfway through Cage takes over the role and you begin to dislike Travolta.(That is if you like goodies). John Woo has kept this movie stretched nice and tight. There is not a scene that you feel could have been done better. Please see this movie.

If you enjoy stories of women seducing men (like me) you will like this one. But Linda Fiorentino plays her part very well. This movie reveals that if a woman has both beauty and brains, and decides to use both to get what she wants, there is no stopping her. Linda comes across as a very manipulative woman. Quite an exciting film. Once you see this make it a point to see the sequel (released in 1999) of the same title.

This movie starts off real good. The setting and the cast (Travolta!!) are also good. The murder and the subsequent investigation of the General's daughter are handled very well by the director. But it is the final ending to the story that leaves one with a slight sense of hollowness. I found the ending difficult to digest but it is worth a viewing anyhow.

Yes, this is one of those well-scripted movies that glue you to the seat not because of blazing guns, sex or action but by dialogues. Both Samuel Jackson and Kevin Spacey put in powerful performances as negotiators. On the lines of Face-Off one guys has his role reversed. This is must-see movie.

It is a pretty safe decision to make now that the 20th century is behind us. But I really got taken up by this movie. The concept was good. The sets were very good. Kevin Costner was superb and the direction was flawless. I fail to understand why this movie flopped in the US? It is about life on earth after the polar ice caps melt. Don't miss this movie at all.

This film is basically a comedy with some action thrown in. It is worth watching. The mechanical contraptions are impressive if you don't dislike spiders. That huge spider thing especially was very impressive. The characters are real impressive too especially Will Smith who is a comedy true to tradition. Salma Hayek does not have a substantial role but she adds some variety to this otherwise macho cast.

If there is one genre of movies that I never watch it is love stories. I can't take all that sentimental mush. But I happen to be an internet freak and decided I would just see what this movie has to do with the internet. But I found the the first 10 minutes of this movie so interesting that I sat back to watch the entire film, and came out with a lump in my throat. I came out with 2 resolutions too: 1. Not to have cyber-sex anymore because it is just a waste of time 2. To try and find a partner over the Net. This happens to be my favourite love story of all time because it is in a format that is familiar to me personally (internet and all). I love chatting and finding online pals of the opposite sex. This movie showed me that it is possible to have a serious relationships too if you behave responsibly on the Net. Tom Hanks and cuddly Meg Ryan put in superb perfomances as we would expect of them. I was impatient for Tom Hanks to reveal himself to Meg Ryan. What a relief it is when he does! Do watch this movie even if you hate love movies. You will be converted, I promise.

Not a scene in this movie is wasted. This is one of those movies in which you cannot afford to arrive at the movie hall late (as I usually do) or miss any of the scenes in between. And if you skip the end thinking that you know how it is going to end - well you have got another think coming. No, this is the type of movie you need to see not just once but twice in order to fully appreciate it. In the first viewing get the hang of the story. In the second viewing appreciate the nuances of the story. Manoj Night Shyamlan will go a long way if he makes his movies like this. And you will go a considerable way down the path of enlightenment if you watch a movie like this. Everyone in the movie acts well, but little Osment really comes out tops. Bruce Willis has proved that he is not just a high-octane action hero either. And once gain it proves the basic fact that the basic ingredient of a good film is a good idea.

Well I liked this film. It investigates the concept of investigation by proxy ( a term that I just coined right now!!) whereby Denzel does all his investigation with the help of computers and Angelina. The plot is ok but it is the execution of the actual murder scenes that really take the cake. The build-up to the murder is done very well. The end is predictable of course but I think that this is a movie worth watching. A good film also if you are interested in inter-racial harmony, ha! ha!
