X-Men (2000)
10/10
Hands down, the greatest comic book adaption ever
19 June 2001
X-Men has got it all. Plot, great f/x, great actors, great acting, script, crew, it's the full package even with $75 million.

The acting was the best thing about the film. Hugh Jackman was amazing as Logan/Wolverine, Famke Janssen was perfect as Dr. Jean Grey, Patrick Stewart was born to play Professor Xavier, and Ian McKellan met with his destiny with his role as Magento, plus let's not forget Anna Paquin's Rouge. Halle Berry shouldn't have played Storm. She doesn't fit her role. Don't let a Golden Globe fool you. James Marsden is waaaay to young for Cyclops and you hardly notice him.

The f/x are great and with Lauren Shuler-Donner (producer) and Bryan Singer (director) on the X-crew, you got yourself a perfect adventure/sci-fi flick.

X-Men leaves Batman and Superman in the dust. If you haven't seen X-Men yet, you are missing out on the greatest comic turned to a film ever. See this

WOW! This is Bond baby!
24 February 2001
When I had first saw TND I thought it was ridiculous. I thought it was boring and the action was a bit too over the top. When I heard that it was going to be the CBS Sunday night movie during a week in January, I decided to give TND another shot.

I saw TND again and all I can say is that a few months ago I had never felt sooooo wrong in my entire life. I saw it again and I went crazy for Bond! People say that TND was "90% action, 10% plot". I think that they're wrong. There was a lot of the plot incorporated in the film and that there was a lot of drama and comedy in the film as well.

The action scenes were fabulous. The motorcycle chase and the car chase were really enjoyable. I also loved the script. Bruce Feirstein and company made a great script with an interesting plot. It was a great choice from MGM to have Roger Spottiswoode as the director of TND. He had all the scenes made to near perfection.

The acting had its good and bad points sadly. Pierce Brosnan was superb as always. He really wasn't relaxed in GoldenEye but in TND, he was as cool as ice. Elliot Carver has to be the most cheesy villian in Bond history. I thought Jonathan Pryce would knock some sense into Carver, but just made Carver even cheesier. Teri Hatcher was lame as Paris Carver. All she did was make Paris into a wimpy sex kitten.

The best thing in all of TND had to be Wai-Lin. Michelle Yeoh steals the show in TND. She was the perfect Bond girl. She had class, style, brains (take that Kara Milovy!), beauty, sex appeal, and most of all she could give an ass whippin! She is my all time favorite Bond girl! She also had great chemistry with Brosnan.

Please, please ignore my first comment on TND with I made a few months ago! I must have had a little too much of Grandpa's couch syrup.

James Bond will return, hopefully with Michelle Yeoh!

Big Brother (II) (2000– )
Oh yeah, this is entertaining (Im being sarcastic)
22 December 2000
Wow, what a show! SIKE! There's nothing like watching a fat dude who bleeches his hair and who depends on his wife and hometown to win the big prize.

I have never seen anything this boring before in my life. I think CBS was high when they decided to put this show in the line up. I couldn't stand 5 minutes of this show when I saw it for the first time.

Im quite interested in the Wednesday night banishment deal. Thats the only thing I watch (but most of the time I go to the web site and find the results there) show on the show.

Im quite confused why commenters on the site choose BB2000 over Survivor. Survivor is much more entertaining.

Overall, BB2000 is better left unseen.

From a movie to a kill
14 December 2000
After seeing AVTAK, I was crushed. Most of the film sank faster than the Titanic. The acting just sent me into a grave.

AVTAK wasn't all bad. The action was great with the car chase that led to the hunt on the Effiel Tower and the plot was believable with Max Zorin wanting to take over Silcion Valley, but it wasn't enough to save me.

Roger Moore had problems in the film with his age. The guy was 57 years old for God's sake and it was about time to move on. He was a decent Bond from LALD till FYEO, but when Roger went into Octopussy, the funny and very charming Bond died. It truly was sad for me.

Christopher Walken played Max Zorin and despite an Oscar to the resume, Chris was a dork with the weird bleached blond hair and freeky kind of personallity.

Tanya Roberts just made it into the worst bond girl hall of fame with her pathetic preformence as Stacy Sutton. She was the main reason why AVTAK sunk, with her "Oh James!". Anyone have ear plugs?

Grace Jones was a little too butch and rugged for a Bond girl. When I think of Bond girls they are helpless and unprotective, but she the complete opposite.

The worst part of the movie was when Stacy said something and when Bond was bedding May Day (ewwwwww).

AVTAK. From a movie to a kill.

Good Movie, Bad Bond
14 December 2000
OHMSS. It was good Bond film. But it had a bad Bond. Lazenby was a bad choice.

With a Bond film that had a bad preformence from a bad actor, OHMSS was very well done. The ski chase was interesting and I loved the acting from Diana Rigg and others (Not counting George Lazenby).

The thing that everyone will remember for in the film is the dramatic ending. Seeing Tracy die after the honeymoon is kind of funny. It was the first time we had ever seen James Bond cry which I thought was very sweet.

After seeing Bond hold a dead Tracy in his arms we roll the end of the movie. "Thats it!? Thats how it ends?" Thats what I thought at the end of the film when I saw it for the first time.

Despite George Lazenby, OHMSS is a good movie

GoldenEye (1995)
Truly A Memorable Bond Film
13 December 2000
GoldenEye is a hit on my Bond list. The best in the Brosnan era, GoldenEye contains great action, great characters, theme song and a whole lot more. I give it an A-.

GoldenEye had great action sequences. I loved the opening. The bungee jump and the motorcycle jump into the cockpit of the plane was cool. The theme song had wonderful mucical icons, Tina Turner, The Edge and Bono. Tina sung the theme with such power and beauty. The Edge and

Bono wrote a truly beautiful song.

The characters were the highlight of the film for me. Pierce Brosnan made a very impressive debut as James Bond. Brosnan plays Bond with charm, style, wit and humor. The four main qualities that Bond should have. Sean Bean is a great villian. It's great to see a villian that Bond truly respected and cared for in the past that turned into his worst enemy. Famke Janssen makes it into my Bond girl hall of fame with her wild and enjoyable preformence as Xenia Onnatop. What she

does with those thighs during sex should make her the poster girl for the thighmaster. For the first time I am able to find a henchmen

that I truly enjoyed.

Goldeneye is my ideal Bond film. It's truly a memorable Bond film.

Has it's good and bad points
12 December 2000
Concluding the Bond era before the millenium is TWINE aka Bond 19. The movie gets a C rating from me. Here are the good points. Pierce Brosnan makes his return to the role for the third time and as always, does a great job. French actress, Sophie Marceau plays lead Bond girl Elektra King. Sophie does a good job as Elektra. Elektra has a big secret in the end of the film and has no one, not even Bond suspicious. I really enjoyed the action sequences such as the speedboat chase on the Thames in the opening and the ski chase in the mid point of the film. Micheal Apted does a great job with the action being the first action film he's made. I really enjoyed the fact that M has a much larger role in TWINE then in GOLDENEYE and TND.

Now here are the bad points:

One of the really bad points to TWINE is all the sexual themes and scenes like the doctor's office, Elektra's bedroom, and the ending scene with the heat and color detection device that finds people based on their body heat. Another bad point is the wanna be Blofeld, Renard. Renard looks WAY too much like Blofeld that when my friend saw the previews for the film she said "Hey, Blofeld is comming back to the films. Thats so cool!". Robert Carlyle stills gives a great preformence as Renard. But the biggest problem in the film is Christmas Jones. I just don't understand the whole Lara Croft Tomb Raider get up. Anyway the part was badly written out for her. Elektra is supposed to be 21 in the film. So whats Dr. Jones, 12?

In 2002, James Bond will return, hopefully in a better film.

Zoom (1997– )
A Great Show For Kids
7 October 2000
Zoom is a great show for the youngans. Im in my last year of JR high and I love to watch it!! Basically, Zoom is show that has kids send in games, recipes, science experiments, jokes and riddles of their own creation and the 7 kids who star on the show play the games, cook the recipes, do the science experi- ments, tell the jokes and solve the riddles the kids send in. Zoom has some cool kids (the really cool ones are Jared and Lyn-ese from the first season of the new Zoom), but when they they started season 2 with Kenny, Caroline, Claudio, Ray, Zoe, Alica, and Jesse the show began to crumble. The kids were so perfect like when they say good game and they shake each others hands after they ended a game I started hating the show. They should bring back the kids from season 1 and keep Ray from season 2 for season 3.

Worst Bond Flick in all 40 years of Bond legacy
26 September 2000
Im sorry but TND blew!! The plot was so retarted; MEDIA MOGEL TRIES TO START WORLD WAR 3 BY USING TV FOR RATINGS. Come on! Get real! Jonathan Pryce is a great actor but sucked as villain Elliot Carver. Carver is so weak and never fights Bond in hand-to-hand combat. Teri Hatcher did a horrible job as Paris. The script was dumb, The car (which always is a beautiful BMW) looked like a rusty pinto! The only good things about TND was the opening credits, Michelle Yeoh's suberb acting, Pierce Brosnan's acting, and the cool gadgets. The best bond film to me is GoldenEye, then Live and Let Die, then Dimonds are Forever, then For Your Eyes Only, and then The World is Not Enough. I give TND ** out of 10 stars.
