I bought the DVD simply because Michael Jackson was in it. His performance was simply stunning. His skinny legs were well-suited for the part! I just love the way he wobbled his legs until he was able to walk and run and dance just right. What I didn't expect was to like Diana Ross. She actually made me cry with her singing of "Home" at the ending. I've heard that song countless times but this was the first time it made me cry. Diana's singing was heartfelt and I understood the song's message for the first time. The Lion made me laugh and the Tin Man was a great physical actor.

No wonder the production was expensive. The sets, the costumes, lighting, the music, everything was deeply thought out and the dance routines well executed. I've never seen Judy Garland's version but it need not matter. I don't think, I missed out on anything. This is a wonderful version and I feel like this is my twin because when this film was being made, I was being born.

I can't understand why this film was considered a flop because it's just great, great! I have a whole new respect for Miss Ross. And Michael, wherever you are, thank you for making this film because this film would not have been great without you.

This film completely bastardized the magic! I'm glad Moira and D.B. were not in any way connected with this film. It's just plain awful! I sincerely wished the creators of this movie hadn't had the audacity to name it "The Cutting Edge 2." I think they just added it so people could watch it, even if they did include the Kate and Doug Dorsey characters. I bought the DVD thinking it would be at least as good as the original. Boy, was I wrong. I couldn't part with it fast enough! The acting is bad and the music is just too loud! They just used the music as a tool to lengthen a film with absolutely no story. A complete waste of time and money if you ask me. Blech!

The Iron Lotus is much better than the Pamchenko Twist!

I bought this on DVD remembering how great the trailer was. I wasn't able to see it when it first came out due to work reasons.

When I bought the DVD I wasn't expecting much especially since I wasn't a Will Ferrell fan. And I didn't even know who Jon Heder was. (He did blond really well, when he is actually dark-haired.) Since first seeing it I can't seem to stop watching it. I'm beginning to wore out my copy. I think I need a new one. ;p

I've developed a new appreciation for both Queen and Aerosmith because of this movie. Before, I thought these bands were just okay but associating their music with such a great flick makes me sing out loud their songs now. :)

I guess nobody can really please everybody because people who think this film is trash think that people who like this movie are just too young to know any better or are just semi-intelligent. Well, I beg to differ because this film has a lot of witty exchanges and terrific acting. I'd give it 10 stars!

This movie has the Cinderella element that I really like and Jimmy MacElroy makes a perfect Cinderella. He's my favorite character in the film. And in this film, I've never seen Will Ferrell look so good. I was also pleasantly surprised at Scott Hamilton's brilliant voice acting. He does make a great commentator. And his co-anchor Jim Lampley adds an interesting relish, making the actual ice skating performances even more exciting. I thank all the creators and collaborators for bringing this film into reality.

I like this film basically because of the songs. The opening sequence was what hooked me. I think it's funny how one song can be either made great, or destroyed by the wrong singing voice. The storyline isn't bad either. It appealed to me because of its Cinderella theme. It's funny and sexy, but somewhat preposterous at times. But it's all in good, clean fun. I love the singing voice used by Gail O'Grady. It's a voice that meshes well with the songs used in the film. It's a good movie to stay up late for when you don't have to go to work tomorrow. Though the script could have been better, all in all, I enjoyed it and I would like to see it again.

This film is unbelievable hilarious! Completely hysterical! I first saw this about 3 years ago on cable and unfortunately I cannot find a copy. The number one reason why I like this film so much is because my two very favorite actors in the world, John Ritter and Christopher Reeve, are in it. They worked wonderfully together. It would have been really great if there are more films with them in it. I'm truly amazed that all the actors in this film could master their lines and their movements so flawlessly, especially when some of the scenes lasts about 10 minutes or more. The physical comedy is beautifully executed without being overdone. It takes a truly special talent to deliver something that terrific. I would love to see this film again.

The guy who commented that this movie could have been written from the guy's point of view, meaning making the girl who'd be the one in the coma, well, that could work, but, for the writers Frederic LeBow and Daniel Sullivan: it took them five years to figure out that the guy should be the one in the coma and the girl the one whose identity is mistaken. I don't think it would work if it were in reverse. Maybe if they make a few changes, it might. Two sisters instead of two brothers? What do you think?

Anyway, since watching this film four years ago, and many times since then, I try to equate every romantic comedy I watch with this film. Nothing could ever surpass it, in my opinion. The nearest one is ONLY YOU starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Marisa Tomei, and a distant third is MRS. WINTERBOURNE, starring Ricki Lake, Brendan Fraser, and Shirley Maclaine. Another one would be THE CUTTING EDGE, starring D.B. Sweeney and Moira Kelly. So far, not even HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN TEN DAYS, MAID IN MANHATTAN, and even PRETTY WOMAN can come close. I've yet to find the next best romantic comedy.

It's a good thing the Mr. LeBow and Mr. Sullivan took five long years to write this screenplay. No wonder it became a hit, because they thought about it carefully.

Bill Pullman is wonderful in this film! I would love to see him so more romantic comedies in the future. He has great comedic timing. And Jason Bernard, who played Jerry, Lucy's supervisor, was unbelievably hilarious! It's too bad he has already died. He was a great talent. I love the eccentric Callahan family, and the crazy neighbor (Joe Fusco, Jr.) I would love to see a sequel (though, that's unlikely). I would love to know what has become of Lucy and Jack and Peter and even Ashley.

I can't wait to see this film again. I have to buy a new copy, for I have worn out mine.

Three cheers for WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING, the romantic film ever!

I REALLY, REALLY LOVE THIS SHOW! Jeff is so funny, entertaining, AND he really knows what he's talking about! And he really loves those snakes, doesn't he? Too bad he's already married. I'm really impressed with all those degrees he has. He's definitely qualified for the job. And does he really have to wear the same outfit for every episode??? Here is Asia, I'm lucky because Animal Planet shows his show seven nights a week so I can laugh at his antics, and learn at the same time, every night. I would really love to meet him (and maybe even guest in his show? ;D ).

Anyway, shows like this don't come everyday. That Crocodile Hunter guy is a little too exuberant for me. That's why I prefer Jeff. Jeff can be corny without being extreme. I've always been interested in animals but it was since getting to watch his show that I've really appreciated them. Even snakes. I think that the best thing I've learned from his show is that we have to show respect to these animals and not abuse them because we need them like they need us. I think this show is doing a great job in educating people about wildlife and about what we can do to help save them. So if I ever meet Jeff, I would come up to him, give him a great big hug, thank him for everything that he's done, tell him that he's doing a great job, and ask for his autograph! Oh, and of course, we should not forget all those people who help him TAPE the show, like his camera crew.

Anyway, this comment is way too long now, but I like to end it with this: JEFF CORWIN SHOULD BE PRESIDENT! Thanks Jeff, for the learning, the laughter, and the fun.

I want to be in love! At least this film made me want to. Bonnie Hunt is such an underrated actress. She's beautiful and has perfect comedic timing. It was in this film that I became a fan of Robert Downey, Jr. He is such a great actor. I wish he'd get better, though. Talent like his should not be wasted on drugs. Marisa Tomei was really beautiful in this film. Fisher Stevens is outrageous. Big fan of his. I really love the way this film was acted. It's a great, funny screenplay. Almost as good as WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING. Italy really is beautiful. The place added a sense of magic into the film. Cinderella stories are just the best!

I have read every comment on this site about the movie. Some of you hate it. Most of you love it. Thank God. I guess most of you didn't like the going-back-in-time sequence. One of you commented that Superman was willing to risk the entire planet to save the woman he loved, or something like that. I love everything about the movie but that comment made me look at that part in perspective. Hey, yeah. That's right. I didn't think about that.

Anyway, I was a year old when this movie was released. I first saw it when I was six and I always watch it when the opportunity presents itself. And I can't believe that not everyone has seen this movie. I thought everyone on EARTH saw this movie already. It's one of the best ever made. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE SEEN IT BY NOW. A definite MUST-SEE.

My favorite part is the helicopter scene. It's the most spectacular scene I've ever seen in any movie. Ever. Just the best. Can never be equaled. I especially love the way Superman looked at Lois when they were at her place and she was interviewing him. "If I had a girlfriend, you'd be the first to know about it." That was Superman's line when he gave her the "look." If I didn't get that line right, correct me.

I've seen the movie so many times and every time I watch it, I find that there are so many things that I still did not understand. So every time I watch it, it's like watching it for the first time all over again. It's like magic. Something new every time.

I thought the movie was perfect until I read all your comments. Now I want to be part of the writing team. Let's start with, how come the earth opened up only until it was enough to reach Lois' car? Why didn't it go beyond? That would've been more believable. And yes, when Superman did the go-back-in-time bit, what happened to the aftershocks? Lois mentioned the earthquake and all that stuff after Superman went back to her. But the aftershocks should still have been there. He would be there just in time to save Lois from drawing her last breath. She would be in the process of being buried alive but just in time for him to get her out of the situation. Or just in time to give her a frantic mouth-to-mouth. That would have been more dramatic and it would give Superman a chance to save her one more time, with Lois knowing about it, too. They would hug. Superman would help Lois to her feet. They would be both very filthy. They would be about to kiss when Jimmy shows up and Jimmy would tell them that he got great pictures of the aftershocks, including the earth opening up and going BEYOND Lois' car. He would also say those lines he said in the movie when he interrupted them. I think that would have been better. Sorry to all who hate the going-back-in-time part. I wouldn't change that for the world. But if it had been done my way, you wouldn't have hated it at all.

I'm sure there are other parts that need rewriting but like I said before, every time I watch it it's like watching it for the first time all over again. But I wouldn't change the actors, the writers, the director, the producers, the cinematographers, the special effects people, everyone whose name was mentioned in the closing credits, and definitely not the music. It's perfect. They all did a wonderful job.

There is only one thing I don't like about it now. Now I see that the racing-the-train scene was just a camera trick. When I was younger, I thought it was an awesome scene. It was real. Now it's not. I hate the fact that I'm now used to all this digital technology that I am beginning to see the limits of this movie in special effects. At least the flying still looks believable to me. At least most of it. I even hate saying that last part.

One of you also commented that Christopher Reeve not just has the looks of Superman but also the HEART of Superman. I like that. And someone else said that in real life, Mr. Reeve is a real superman because in spite of what happened to him, he still remains strong especially since he has all the encouragement and love that his family gives him. And I sincerely hope that one day, he will walk again. I will live for that day. Because red cape or not, HE IS SUPERMAN.
