Finally! Finally! Finally!
17 February 2020
Not going to spoil what happens, but finally the person who should have been eliminated several times by now; or to be honest, not even invited to the All Stars; is finally sent home.

The Big Question?
12 February 2020
It's kinda cool to have an "all-star" team come back to Hell's Kitchen. There are several chefs from previous seasons that I really liked and am happy to see them get a second chance.

The big question I have is, who in the world thought it would be a good idea to bring Elise back. Whether she can cook or not, she is 100% toxic to her team and honestly makes it frustrating to even watch the show.

Better Than Expected
29 December 2019
I didn't watch this movie for a long time, because i figured it would be stupid. The other day my nephews came over and they wanted to watch it, so we did. Turns out it was pretty good! Nothing amazing, but it was pretty funny and enjoyable.

Also the actress who played Darla was cute as a little button.

Totally worth watching.

Family Night!
17 August 2019
This review would work for pretty much all the Family Night episodes in Hell's Kitchen. The kids are just too cute! Looks very fun, as long as you aren't one of the chefs in the kitchen!

It's Not Nice To Call Someone A Weirdo!
15 August 2019
Episode 2 continues the story, still moving a little slowly, we do get a glimpse into the background of Eleven, and some explanation of why she is how she is. Mike shows how he is the leader of the boy's party and expands into his role of Eleven's protector.

Hopper is now taking very seriously the disappearance of Will, although he still has no clue as to what is really going on. The laid-back, uncaring Hopper of episode 1, is getting pushed farther into the background.

Nancy convinces Barb to go to a party at Steve's house, and Barb ends up disappearing somehow.

Something Is Afoot in Hawkins.
14 August 2019
The episode that begun it all! I heard about Stranger Things from my brother, I had not idea it existed before that. I massively enjoyed the first season and sub-sequentially binged seasons 2 and 3.

This episode it where it all began. I really enjoyed it. It sets the stage for the overall arc of the first season. The Duffer brothers do a great job creating the atmosphere.

The actors and actresses are all amazing. We meet David Harbour as Chief Hopper, who seems like he's going to be completely unhelpful and over his head. We see Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers. Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Kerry and Shannon Purser make up out teenage group. Then in my opinion, we meet the amazing talented children, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and especially Millie Bobby Brown, who is just amazing with the emotion she can show without words, with just her face. The chemistry between the boys is just amazing. Also, we (briefly) meet one of my favorite characters on Stranger Things, Benny Hammond played by Chris Sullivan.

The music is also very amazing. A almost perfect start to an almost perfect show!

Still Going Well!
30 July 2019
Still enjoying this show. So far, this episode has been the goriest and still looks great by the way.

We also see more of the evil of certain Supes and just the plain casual disregard of the effect of their actions on normal people (for example, the plane scene).

We are also introduced to a mysterious new character, which I am very interested to see who or what she is.

Great Start!
26 July 2019
Really great start to this show. The graphic effects are amazing! The actors and actresses are doing a great job so far and seem to mesh well together.

Seems like it will be an accurate portrayal of what would happen if big business mixed with super heroes.

Definitely looking forward to watching the rest of the season.

I won't spoil what actually happened, but this episode clearly shows how Gordon Ramsay is an excellent showman as well as being a world class cook.

Very Fun!

I Don't Get It
8 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Well, the 2nd episode of this show that I just don't understand. This is supposed to be some super secure weapon depot, but half the team can just get let in an unguarded back door? Also, the armory was only guarded by 1 guy, who wan't even paying attention? My primary question is, why is there some weird nightclub thing going on? What it this militia or whatever it is trying to do? Just a "the world is ending, so let's go out partying" kind of thing?

Then, to make matters even better, they decided to kill someone, which we know by now, turns them into a zombie even if they hadn't been bitten, so the whole place pretty much gets wiped out.

Maybe I just have no clue what's going on, but I can't say I liked this episode.

Pretty enjoyable episode for me. The kids must have had so much fun and it looked like Gordon Ramsay was just laughing as he watched the kitchens deal with it.

Didn't Make Sense To Me
3 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This episode just really didn't make sense to me. First the premise of these kids somehow controlling an entire school building, and what looks like making traps for people and robbing them. Pretty sure I saw they had a huge stockpile built up and it looked like kids were sorting through it. I'm not sure how long this is after this zombie apocalypse started, but seems it would take a while for children to get to this point of insanity. Unless for some reason the show makers were trying to make a social comment on today's youths? I don't know.

Also, I know this has been mentioned in other reviews, but how does Spears not realize he needs a head shot to kill the zombie? Of course, maybe he is trying, I'm guessing it's hard to hit a head sized target that is moving while also running around.

But, overall this episode just made me scratch my head and wonder where it came from.

Kitchen Nightmares (2007–2023)

2nd Best Kitchen Nightmares Series
30 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Not as good as the U.K. version. I could be wrong, but it seems like there is a lot more staged scenes in this than in the U.K. version. For example, there are a lot of "fights" and cooks/owners/Ramsay himself "walking out", but then coming back. Also, how can every single dish in every single restaurant be disgusting, overcooked or under cooked? I mean I can understand a lot of them being bad or even most of them, but all of them seems unlikely. Of course, on the other hand, his palate is probably super amazing and sensitive. On a related note, most of the owners think that he will love their food. I guess they haven't watched any of his shows!

It's also kind of amusing to see the waiters/waitresses start running from his table after they have delivered the 3rd or 4th dish. Even though, he does try and joke with the waitresses to make them more comfortable.

In later seasons, it also seems to be a lot more dealing with dysfunctional families, and Gordon Ramsay becomes a marriage/family counselor or something. I am more interested in watching Chef Ramsay, rather than Dr. Ramsay.

Also, kind of annoying to me, the several "previews" and "coming ups" which often are the same exact scenes shown 3 or 4 times in one show. Maybe this is a common thing to do in "reality" shows, I'm not sure because I don't usually watch this type of show. This, and the UK version of kitchen nightmares, are the only "reality" type show I have watched more than 2 or 3 episodes of. This show is worth watching though, Gordon Ramsay is awesome.

I enjoyed the show, which is the main reason for a person to watch a show; and would recommend it for a watch.

Very Weird . . .
29 June 2019
Chef Ramsay tries to help a former belly dancer with her restaurant. For one thing, I don't know why the owner thought opening a restaurant would be a good idea, its not even remotely the same thing.

Also, this is the first episode I have seen where Gordon Ramsay seems literally speechless when he first meets the owner. Maybe he is just acting, but it seems like he is literally struggling to figure out what to say. Even if he is acting, its hilarious, because he doesn't seem like the type of man to be at a loss for words.

So, very strange episode, but entertaining.

Even Better Than I Expected
27 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
When this movie showed up in my Netflix recommendations, I figured that I would like it based on the synopsis and other movies like it that I have enjoyed. Still, it sat in my queue for months because of work and time restraints.

I finally got around to watch it and I enjoyed it even more that I thought that I would. I thought all the actors and actresses did well, and I thought the story was interesting. Also, I finally understand why it is called Bird Box!

To me this type of horror is more scary and suspenseful than the monsters or whatever who just kill people or rip them apart or eat them. There is something just super frightening about an unseen presence that makes you want to kill yourself.

Only problem I really had with this movie is that they never really explain what is going on and why/how it happened.

Very good sequel, I actually liked it a little more than the first one. Very funny, laughed out loud several times. The little boy and the animals are cute. Snowball had a lot larger role in this movie, and he is hilarious!

Totally worth watching!

Clueless Owner/Father
19 June 2019
The owner of this restaurant is completely clueless. He steals his son's inheritance and then says he doesn't know why his son resents him? He also says he is paying his chef "in spirit"? Wow!

Chef Ramsey has his work cut out for him on this one. Can't wait to see part 2.

It's Just Bad. . .
18 June 2019
I figured this movie would not be great, judging from it's title, picture and description on Netflix. I gave it a try though, because I was hoping that maybe it would be one of those movies that are so bad that they are funny.

No such luck though . . . I would not recommend it.

Enjoyable, Corny Film
18 June 2019
Enjoyable little corny film about giant spiders invading a small town. Obviously ridiculous, but it doesn't try to take itself seriously and to me that made it fun to watch. In what other movie can you hear a spider giggle, moan, groan and even do a tarzan yell?

I love the characters also. Deputy Pete and Harlan are hilarious. To me, everyone did a good job acting, which isn't always the case in this type of film. Also the casting of Scarlett Johansson as Kari Wuhrer's daughter is perfect. They look like they could be mother and daughter in real life.

Overall, a movie that I enjoyed watching.

Bumbling Brothers
17 June 2019
Interesting episode, I actually feel kind of sorry for the twins. They are good natured but apparently had no clue what they were getting into by buying a restaurant. One of them was even talking about having free pizza in the beginning of the episode, so apparently they didn't even realize that if they owned the restaurant, the price of the pizza would be out of their pocket?

I don't know if it was just acting for the show, or if they were honestly clueless. Anytime Gordon said anything to them, they just stared at him with no expression.

Still a pretty good episode.

Interesting Change
14 June 2019
First thing I want to mention is something I found really weird. In this episode, and so far the only episode I have seen it happen, they actually bleep out most of the curse words. It not a big deal, just strange that they suddenly did this. Also, part of the entertainment is listening to Gordon Ramsay flip out about things.

Pretty much just a usual restaurant, with the new twist that they did not even have enough menus for each table.

Still it is one of the more enjoyable episodes I think.

Arrogance In The Kitchen
11 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Gordon Ramsay has to deal with an extremely arrogant chef/owner. She is self taught, which is fine by the way, Gordon has run into other self taught chefs who did fine. The thing that doesn't make sense, is that she will not listen to his advice. He is not some guy just coming off the street, he is a world renowned chef, so I would say that he knows what he is talking about!

It's kind of funny that she is surprised that he is harsh. If she knew anything about him, she would know that is how he works. Not to mention, the before mentioned statement, that he knows what he is talking about.

Seemed to me like he was a lot nicer to CeCe than many of the other chefs he has dealt with in his shows. He still didn't hold back with what needed to be said, but he is a lot more gentle about it than he usually is.

Rescuing Akira
11 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this one. Chef Ramsay goes to help a Japanese restaurant. The owner, who is a former chef, is completely crushed emotionally. It is obvious in his responses, that he has just completely given up and doesn't have a clue what to do.

His family is great, quite clearly they care about him, his 2 children helping in the restaurant, and his son even having lent his father a rather large sum of money.

Gordon Ramsay fixes a huge problem by getting Akira back in the kitchen. That is how Akira came up in the world and he seems to enjoy cooking, wearing a big smile as he cooks, rather than just managing.

Very enjoyable to see the family get closer together and for Akira to be doing something he seems to love.

Wooden Headed Chef
11 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
An interesting episode. Chef Ramsay has to deal with a chef who refuses to listen to any feedback, whether from Gordon, his staff his customers or even his wife! Apparently, this chef also has similar training to what Chef Ramsay did.

Seems not to have much staged materiel in this one. Restaurant makeover is probably one of my favorite ones so far. Especially love the blue, since it seems to mainly be a sea food restaurant.

It's also very nice that Gordon manages to convince the owner/chef to let his Sous chef to actually start cooking. From what little I know about cooking, Hendrick, the Sous Chef, actually seems to know what he is doing. He just needed to be given the chance to actually cook.

Gordon eventually gets through to Andy, the chef/owner, and re-fires his passion for cooking and gets him working with his Sous Chef to make the restaurant a success. Andy is apparently a great cook, Gordon just had to break him from trying to cook everything himself.
