24 Little Hours (2020)
Beautiful Pictures and Thriller Perfect
The standard of the film is really good, with some great shoots and beautiful frames. There is a whole variety in how the story line is delivered, with the past and events overlapping, so you can get the full insight into events played out.
Actors done a really good job with being naturalistic and believable. Most importantly the film conveys that lines can get blurred.
It's a film worth seeing!
The Mule (2018)
Eastwood doing what he does best
Exactly what we've come to know and love from Clint Eastwood directing, producing and acting in a movie.
With it's interesting storyline and solid acting this was a great watch.
Clint has about as much filter as a cigar and don't give a damn what he says but at the seems to pull it off as a lovable character.
I didn't know a great deal about this before watching it in the cinema but I really enjoyed it.
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
Stunt men & women are doing it for themselves
The third movie in this awesome franchise and this one did not disappoint.
The first 30 minutes was amazing with its fast paced hard hitting action, the fighting and gore was perfect and one of the best I've seen.
Halle Berry's character fitted in well with the story and her presence matched John Wick's bad ass killing machine style.
This was one of them movies that while watching it in the cinema the audience all react the same to what they are seeing as John Wick empties round after round of bullets into 100's of bad guys.
I absolutely loved sitting there watching this with a big smile on my face as John Wick does what he does best.... Kill
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)
The 4 end credit scenes were better than the film
The fast and Furious movies have changed a lot over the years each one getting a little more far fetched and a little less like the original movie we all fell in love with but... man are they entertaining.
My inner 10 year old self was smiling the whole way through this movie, it's like an 80's action movie on steroids it's a great entertaining movie with some excellent action and some very funny scenes.
If you can get over the silliness and switch your brain off your love it.
It's one of them 'it's so bad, it brilliant movies'
Angel Has Fallen (2019)
Butler has fallen further
The third movie in this action trilogy and I'm a little gutted it wasn't as good as the last two, for me it had lost a bit of the spark the last one had and toned down with the action and violence.
It's still a cool entertaining watch with a decent storyline but I couldn't help thinking they were hanging up the action man boots far to early and could of got to more kickass movies in before going with this storyline.
Not as good as the last one but would make a good home watch.
Triple Frontier (2019)
Seems to tick the netflicks movie making boxes
Hey do it again, great Netflix original movie.
With a solid cast and a roller-coaster ride of a story this had me hooked from start to finish.
Really impressed with the acting and the way they nailed the action scenes.
Great to see Ben (Best Batman) Affleck in another action movie, Oscar Isaac smashed he's role too.
This is definitely a movie I'd watch again.
Cold Pursuit (2019)
Based on the 2014 Norwegian film 'In Order of Disappearance'
At times this felt like a Tarantino movie with its cool storyline and quirky characters it has some funny moments mixed in with some hard hitting violence.
I did enjoy this but did think some of the scenes were a bit silly and didn't really fit with the movie.
I was really impressed with the main bad guy who seemed to have a Heath Ledger's The Joker style going on that worked really well.
Polar (2019)
From page to screen
Netflix do it again, awesome Netflix original movie.
This had me entertained from start to finish with its brutal and sexy opening scene and cool introduction to each character. Mads Mikkelsen is epic and reminds me of John Wicks dad.
With it's fast paced bloody action story line that absolutely nails the gore.
It's a fun, action packed movie that that has DNA of other movies like Smoking Aces, John Wick, Killing Gunther and Revolver.
Hangman (2017)
Lacking gore but I still wanted more
Thrillers seems to be a bit of a hit or miss genre so I always watch one ready to be disappointed but not in this case.
While it wasn't Al Pacino's greatest role it did have a really solid story line which reminded me of Se7en.
Kept me entertained and interested right until the end.
I'd of liked to see a bit more gore thrown in but an all round good watch.
The Godfather Part II (1974)
Great sequel
It's good but not up there with the first one but still way above the third one.
The Godfather (1972)
The title says it all
The epic story equaled by only 'once upon a time in America'.
