Reviews
From (2022)
It's great
Not sure why all the poor reviews. Suspend your need for perfect details, like how they get food, etc. It's just fun and imaginative. The actors are strong and you care about them.
Brigham City (2001)
Surprisingly Good
Ok, the acting is not world-class, but is decent. The story is surprisingly good. A little slow in the beginning, suggest you give it a chance of you enjoy movies with a message.
The Marksman (2021)
Good movie
I'm not sure why everyone seems to be so down on the ratings for most things these days. Not every movie is going to be an award winner. Sure there are a couple "really?" moments, but overall it was entertaining. And Liam Neeson can always be counted on for being solidly who he is, a great actor that likes to work.
Gunpowder Milkshake (2021)
Kicks it
Crazy colors, cartoon characters, a little weak on the story, but I am loving these new kick ass women films. Violent as hell, but fun action.
Kevin Can F**k Himself (2021)
Watch this
Almost turned this off after 20 minutes and was going to take it off the DVR list. Then I thought there no way the typical insufferable, heavy drinking, self-absorbed, blue collar husband with a suffering wife would have a 2 hour preview. It's my new favorite show. So unique and Annie Murphy is brilliant.
Underwater (2020)
Good movie
I don't understand why this got such dismal reviews. The acting was good and there was enough character development that I cared that the crew made it. An easy watch.
The Secret: Dare to Dream (2020)
We all need a little hope
Rented this movie on demand. 2020 has been a dump of a year for pretty much everyone, and I'm really feeling it. Albeit a little predictable, this movie was hopeful, and there was a kindness in it that we just haven't seen this year. If you want to watch something that makes you smile, and remind you that good is out there, it's perfect. The actors are great.
Project Blue Book (2019)
Great show
It's a great show. I'm incredibly irritated there will not be a 3rd season. It mixed facts, fantasy and made you think about what's possible.
Shame! No wonder Netflix and Prime are eating network TV's lunch. Ughhhh.
Submergence (2017)
Great
I could watch James McAvoy burn toast. This is a very good movie, but sad
Quicksand (2019)
Worth watching
I'll say this... great show, but seriously irritated at the parents, teachers and the defense attorney. Nice prison though.
Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020)
Historical, relevant and well done
I WAS expecting something similar to the first series, this is not that. There are definitely demonic forces at work, as well as good. Loved the historical references, and perspective. Thought the characters were wk written, and whi doesn't need Nathan Lane? Hoping it's renewed.
Making the Cut (2020)
Classy
It's great to see Tim and Heidi together again. This is a very classy show. The international locations added to the show. These designers are all successful and readily talented. It's a fun escape.
