Scream (1996)
A masterpiece that only a genius can be able to direct
After having modernized the slasher and also the horror in general, Wes Craven returns to directing with another slaser masterpiece but in this case it does not stop there. Craven jokes about all the stereotypes typical of the horror / slasher genre, mixing fear and tension with humor and comedy, making the viewer reflect on horror thanks to a perfect and veiled metacinematography. Obviously not everyone is able to appreciate Scream as it also serves a good horror culture, the film is full of quotes to Psycho, The silence of lamb, Halloween, The texas chainsaw massacre and even the Nightmare itself, teasing and celebrating all the horror cinema.
Roma (1972)
Fellini is a genius
This brilliant film combines elements already present in Federico fellini's poetics (nostalgia, memories, dreams, etc.) but this time it does it in a different way from other masterpieces such as Amarcord. Here he also puts metacinematography, making like a film within a film. Technically perfect: colors, lights, cinematography, scenography, all wonderfully flawless. It does not have many food for thought but it is still an incredible entertainment and it is also a cult film destined to remain etched in the viewer and in the collective memory.

THE GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME
Federico Fellini is certainly one of the greatest directors in the history of cinema and this magnificent work confirms it. To better understand this masterpiece, you must first see at least all of Fellini's previous films, then you will begin to understand something about it. I saw it without even knowing what cinema really was, I was fascinated by it but I didn't understand it and today it is still difficult for me to understand it. The story deals with a director in crisis who relives his memories, the present and also enters a dreamlike and hyper surreal dimension. Why is the film so huge? Because in addition to the aesthetically perfect images he shows us and the complex and philosophical scripts, it allows us to identify with Guido Anselmi (the protagonist). As he also says in the movie tagline, this film palr aid us, this film is us. Absolutely not to be overlooked is the intense and unforgettable interpretation of Marcello Mastroianni, Claudia Cardinale, Sandra Milo and Anouk Aimée.

MASTERPIECE OF COMEDY
A refined and grotted comedy by one of the greatest director of cinema: Buster Keaton. Hylarious from the first to the last scene. It is a kind of particular humor where difficult things are easily and simple things are obstacles that are impossible to overcome. What about to say? An immense masterpiece

A MASTERPIECE
An immense masterpiece I personally love Elio Petri's cinema and, this together with Todo Modo, is his masterpiece. It is a complex film, full of references to Kafkaesque literature. Surely in addition to the perfect direction, the film is so incisive and at times disturbing for the spectacular soundtrack of the master Ennio Morricone and for the masterful interpretation of the great Gian Maria Volonté. For the rest there is nothing to say, the ending is as beautiful as it is strange. From the first to the last frame you are captivated by this cinematic immensity. Nothing to say MUST ABSOLUTELY SEEN
The Straight Story (1999)
Good but...
It's a good movie but it didn't impress me. I love lynch (Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive and Lost Hightways are immense masterpieces) but this, in addition to the absence of dreamlike and surreal scenes, I consider a film a little weak and with excessive good feelings. Here is not represented the disgust of man but only good people, kind and cutlery. The Straight Story is not a dark film but a very slow and quiet road movie. It is shot and performed very well, and the photography is also great but this film does not convince me, it seems that there is no Lynch touch. Overall, however, it is not bad, it must be seen and enjoyed enjoyed at least for the spectacular images and the moving music of the master Angelo Badalamenti
Suspiria (1977)
absolute masterpiece one of my favorite films
I think suspiria is one of the greatest horror movie ever made. A film that keeps you attached to the screen from the first to the last frame. From the first scene you are projected into this other world created by Dario Argento. Colors as spectacular as they are disturbing, Tovoli used special lenses and bulbs to create these red, green and blue lights. Even if it has no real plot or philosophy (as accsde in other horror movies, Suspiria in my opinipn remains an immense aesthetic masterpiece.
Il conformista (1970)
Very very good movie
This is a masterpiece. Aesthetically perfect thanks to the combination of an immense director (Bernardo Bertolucci) and an equally immense cinematographer (The master Vittorio Storaro). In front of the camera we have actors of the caliber of Stefania sandrelli and Jean Louis Trintignant. The only flaw may be the absence of the plot. Let me explain, the movie is almost flawless if it were not for the somewhat insopid story and the slightly obvious ending. But still the movie must be seen absolutely.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Unwatchable movie
This movie is awful. Shot very badly, the editing gives you a headache and doesn't show any movement of the camera. I'm not particularly a fan of the other avengers but this is a total bore all the time except the last quarter of an hour where there is action but thinking about it even the ending is stupid.
Le locataire (1976)
Beautiful film of Polanski
Highly recommended for fans of psychological thrillers. Complex and characteristic film mixed with strange and claustrophobic scenes shot to represent the sick mind of the protagonist. Very beautiful ending that repeats the opening scene of the film. A spiral that goes downhill more and more into Telkovski's madness and schizophrenia
Persona (1966)
One of the greatest film of all time
In my opinion, after "The Seventh Seal" and the "Wild Strawberries", "Persona", is the Ingmar Bergman's greatest film. Characterized by calm but at the same time anxious atmospheres accentuated by dreamlike and surreal sequences and by the wonderful black and white of Sven Nykvist. The film is a journey into the psyche of the two protagonists. A very masterpiece of the cinema.
