Love, Classified (2022)
Absolutely Adorable!
Another well done Hallmark fav :)
So happy to see the expansion of their content as a step towards including ALL humans. It's been a long time, but they're finally there! Great actors in this one too!!
Free Guy (2021)
Tired
This movie was so terribly boring... typical Ryan Reynolds character, predictable lines and jokes, and the plot was derivative. Also, there's basically 2 BIPOC folks (as supporting roles) and you put one of them in a bunny suit? Come on, Hollywood. Do better.
Jupiter's Legacy (2021)
Tired & Unimpressive
This is just another take on privileged white kids being entitled jerks. The lack of originality and diversity is tired and the storyline will leave you sleeping or multitasking as it's on. It lacks complexity, humor, depth, and intrigue altogether and there isn't a single character you're left wanting to root for.
Take Shelter (2011)
Don't waste your time
This was an absolute glacial-paced bore of a movie.
Da 5 Bloods (2020)
I wanted to like this movie
I was so excited that a new Spike Lee movie was out and wanted to like it so badly, but at the end of the day, this movie is just bad. The plotline becomes as advanced as a Disney movie (but with more blood and gore) and some of the casting choices were absolutely awful. It was disjointed and the quality overall would be expected of an amateur, but not someone like Spike Lee. I still gave it 3 stars for its display of several mental issues that veterans suffer from, but I wouldn't spend the time watching this one.
Little Fires Everywhere (2020)
Expected much, much better.
This one is definitely overrated. It's your typical Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington roles, both ridiculously serious and Witherspoon the entitled monster. It's one thing after the next in this over the top drama centered around class and race. There were the most odd, amateur mistakes made, like Reese's character grabbing a seemingly hot pan with a freshly baked chicken without using pot holders, inconsistencies throughout the plot, and for some ridiculous reason they decided to cast entirely different actors that look absolutely nothing like Washington, Witherspoon, or Jackson for the younger versions of each. If you're looking for a good new drama, I wouldn't bother with this one.
