Hate Story IV (2018)

honest review
6 May 2020
Hate Story 4 released on 9th March 2018. It stars cast Urvashi Rautela, Karan Wahi, Vivan Bhatena, and Gulshan Grover. The story of this film is average while the presentation is also average. The music of this film is excellent and I give it a separate rating of 5 out of 5 stars but a film can't rely on one factor only. Music is one factor while other factors need to be taken care of. I don't criticize the star cast, I think that this film is not being made as deep as the previous one because the third party didn't too have much high fame film stars but it was a tremendous success. Besides these facts one can enjoy this film, one can enjoy the acting of Karan Wahi, Vivan Bhatena, Urvashi Rautela as they have done their roles religiously and it is quite entertaining too. I give this film and below-average rating.

Hate Story 3 released on 4 December 2015. It stars Sharman Joshi, Karan Singh Grover, Zarine Khan and Daisy Shah in the lead roles. I said that the above two parts had a simple story but this part had an extraordinary story and the presentation was very good. I regard this part as the best in the three parts which we have discussed till yet. Made on a simple budget of 20 crores, this film is the most successful in the whole franchise. Every song in the film is good. The specialty of this film is that it doesn't star cast any high fame star celebrity but all the actors have done their role religiously. Karan Singh Grover plays the role of Saurav Singhania and Sharman Joshi plays the role of Aditya Diwan while Zarine Khan plays the role of Sharman Joshi's wife. I would not elaborate much of the story because it is better if you watch this film out. After all, as much I tell the story it would spoil the essence of the film and believe me this film is very good. I give this film a positivity rating.

Hate Story 2 released on 18th July 2014. It stars Surveen Chawla, Jay Bhanushali and Sushant Singh. This describes the hate between Surveen Chawla and Sushant Singh and how Sushant Singh destroys the life of Surveen Chawla and how the rest of revenge forms the crux of the story. This film also has a very simple storyline but the presentation is very good. The music is very good. Direction, screenplay, cinematography are fine. I give this film an above-average rating.

Honest Review

Let us discuss the first part which released on 20th April 2012. It casts Nikhil Dwivedi, Gulshan Devaiah & Paoli Dam. This film as the name suggests has to hate at the center and in this part, one can explore the intensity of hate between Paoli Dam and Gulshan Devaiah. What I like about this film is the reality because if you see today's films most of them seem to be fictional but this film could be drawn into reality also. The story was simple but the presentation was very good. The music was average while the direction, screenplay, cinematography are good. I give this film an average rating.

Race 3 (2018)

honest review
6 May 2020
Race 3 was released on 15th June 2018 and is a thriller film directed by Remo D'Souza and produced under Tips Films and Salman Khan films. It is distributed by Tips films, Salman Khan Films, and Yash Raj Films. This film is considered to be a reboot to the race franchise. Although it has a sparsely related plot to the previous film. This film stars Anil Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez who have previously performed in this franchise and Salman Khan Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, and Daisy Shah as the new entrants in the franchise. This is the presently last and the worst part in my view in the whole franchise and I primarily think that the failure of this film is due to Salman Khan because he interferes in every sphere of filmmaking whether it be the direction or it is a screenplay. The story has become a thing of past in Salman Khan films and as I say that story is the core of any movie and so I give this film a very negative rating. This film lags in the storyline as well as in the presentation too. individual performances of actors are fine and the music is also average. I don't advise my readers to watch this movie as it could lead to severe headaches.

Race 2 (2013)

honest review
6 May 2020
Race 2 released on 25th January 2013 and was made on a high budget of 94 crores rupees. It was produced by Tips Films and distributed by UTV Motion Pictures. This film revolves around John Abraham and Saif Ali Khan and how old events unfold certain mysteries in this part. Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, Aditya Pancholi, Amisha Patel are the new characters in this film. The theme of this film remains the same about hate and betrayal. John Abraham and Deepika Padukone share an unsound sister-brother relationship in the film and how John Abraham becomes the crux in Saif Ali Khan's story forms the rest of the story. This film is a magnum opus and has used a significant amount of good technology. The action scenes are very good. The direction and screenplay are very fine. The music in the film is excellent and I give it a separate rating of 5 out of 5 stars. This film is very entertaining and if you ever get the time of watching movies then do watch this film. The presentation in this film is very good and the places of shooting are very beautiful. The places of shooting, the direction, the music, the acting of the characters, their dance make a complete wholesome dish and I think it will give you joy and would entertain.

Honest review
6 May 2020
The first film of the franchise released on 21 March 2008. It is based on the story of two brothers Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna and includes the things of sibling rivalry, betrayal, and passion. This film was very good. If you see the direction or the screenplay, everything was very fine. The music was also good and suits the time. As I always say that the story of any movie is its core and this film scored a very high on the charts of the storyline. The climax race is worth watching. I think that this film served as a good point in the careers of all the actors in the film and especially for Saif Ali Khan. Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, and other supporting cast have done their role religiously. I give this film a huge thumbs up

Hey, my young readers. Today I have brought very special content for you. You would have never seen such a thing before and would be amazed to see it. I am going to talk about The Boss Baby today. Many of you must be familiar with him through his first movie of the character's title released in 2017. Well, we will be discussing Netflix's take on the character with their exclusive series The Boss Baby: Back in Business. Presently three seasons are released and believe me all of them are worth watching. I don't judge a work just based on its looks but the examination is quite deep and detailed. I judge the work keeping in mind all the factors to give a premium and balanced experience. This series is the best in the animated Netflix series in my view. Whether it be the storyline or the animation or the character design, Baby Corp headquarters, its interior, music, dialogues, and many more things, everything is best here. The idea of each season is very novel and to prevent the series from becoming monotonous they keep on introducing some side characters as well. In season1, baby love is again in danger as this time due to cats. The antagonist in the season is Bootsy Calico, a man who is raised by kittens and aims at wiping love for babies from people's minds. In the second season, baby love is again in danger, and this time due to the old aged people. It is very great and more than entertaining to see these concepts into a brand-new season. We see how old people wage a war against baby love. In the third season, the boss baby is finally fired. Unemployed, abandoned, and in casual wear, this life is not going to suite the boss baby. Some unusual toys are keeping an eye on the babies as a result of which the baby love is all-time high but that's not that easy and boss baby needs to figure it out. This series is best for children. They should not binge-watch the series. They should watch one or two episodes a day to get the most of the series. I highly appreciate and recommend it to the younger generation as it would be an experience like never before. I give it an extra-ordinary rating of 9 stars. I would also take this opportunity to extend my warm wishes and appreciation to DreamWorks Animation for doing an outstanding job.

The Body (II) (2019)
1/10
Honest review
23 April 2020
First of all, I would like to express my gratitude towards all my readers for taking out time to read my film review. This past weekend, I saw the movie The Body (2019). Since it is inspired by the famous Spanish film with the same title, I thought to review it. The film starts with an unknown car accident. Then the plot shifts towards the antagonists of the film. A dead body is missing from the Forensic Laboratory of Port Louis. SP Jairaj Rawal (Rishi Kapoor) is called upon to investigate the matter. As the body was of the wife (Maya Verma- Sobhita Dhulipala) of Ajay Puri (Emraan Hashmi), he becomes the prime suspect. The rest of the story follows the investigations. The series of events are shown very slowly in the film. The filmmakers make me wonder if they are running out of content and are compelled to make a one-and-a-half-hour movie. The story has now become very very old and the music is rather fine. But still, the film lags that essence. Means, more than two- thirds of the movie is over, and still, nothing great is shown. Sometimes they use Emraan's girlfriend or his student Vedhika to grab the audience's attention. In short, I don't have much to say about this piece of crap. The acting of every actor is fine. Direction & screenplay are also fine. I would give it a rating of one star and that too for those only who don't have any ties with the storyline and just want to do some time pass.

Honest Review
21 April 2020
As a film critic, I have to bring to my viewers, reviews, which cover almost every genre, rest your suggestions are always invited. Today, we are going to have an insight into fifty decades of Donald J. Trump's life through the British documentary 'Trump: An American Dream.' Before I start, I would like to say that you would enjoy this review if you at least have some interest in Donald's life or you are a keen watcher or reader of documentaries. Season1 Episode 1: "Manhattan" The show begins with focussing on young Donald who seeks to succeed in his father's real estate business. Trump, was a lesser-known brand in New York those days, so Donald wishes to buy and renovate 'The Commodore Hotel', which was the biggest hotel in New York. He successfully made the deal with a forty years tax abatement. He opened this hotel as 'The Grand Hyatt' just after two years. It is Donald's first major project. Along with his professional life, we get an insight into his personal life too, when he marries 'Ivana' and have a family with him. Ivana was a dynamic model as well as deeply involved in Donald's businesses. Now, Donald plans to bring a grand sky scrapper, 'Trump Tower' in New York. He demanded tax abatement for it too but Mayor 'Ed Koch' refused. Trump instructs his lawyer, 'Ray Cohn' to sue the city. On July 5th, 1984, the State's Court of Appeals delivered its verdict in Donald's favour. Episode 2: "The Gambler" After successfully building his empire in New York City, now he wishes to enter the casinos business in the 'Atlantic City'. On 14th May 1984, he opens his first casino, 'Trump Plaza' and further soon he builds the second one, 'Trump Castle'. Between 1983 and 1987 Donald Trump brought an airline, a yacht, a football team, the Mar-a-Lago mansion, and a private jet. He also publishes a book, 'The Art of the Deal' which becomes the no.1 seller. Also, his relationship with Ivana turns out to be quite a bitter day by day and his focus now shifts towards 'Marla Maples' who is also a very successful model. Everything in his business is also not fine. In March 1988, he pays $408 million for 'The Plaza Hotel, New York'. His political presence seems to take birth during these years. Mike Dunbar petitions him to run for President but he declines. In April 1988, he buys the third much grand casino, The Taj Mahal. Episode 3: "Citizen Trump" In this episode, we see how his professional, as well as personal life, turns into a turmoil. One by one his casinos were under a huge debt which he was unable to pay. He divorces Ivana and marries Marla. Forbes said that his casinos were based on borrowed money. He decides to sell shares in his own company. Stock market floatation raises over $1.2 billion bringing him good luck. But in the end, he divorces Marla after three and a half years of marriage. Episode 4: "Politics" In 2000, he was wondering to run for the President of the United States of America from the Reform party but backs out. Similarly, he doesn't run in 2012. He marries a supermodel 'Malania Knavs.' He makes a reality show 'The Apprentice' and its ratings were huge. He publishes another book 'The Art of the comeback.' Rest we see how he ran successfully on Republican Party's ticked in 2016 and rose to the ultimate seat of power. Personally speaking, I don't find him to be very good either in professional or in personal terms. He uses money, force, and power all the time. Well, the report of his political career is yet to come.

The documentary is very well made with some rare clips of his life. I give it a rating of seven out of ten stars.

Honest review by Divyam Saran.
20 April 2020
Today, I am going to talk about a less popular Netflix movie with much popular star cast, 'Murder Mystery.' The film revolves around Nick Spitz (Adam Sandler) who is an NYPD officer and his wife Audrey (Jennifer Aniston) who is a hairdresser by profession. Nick is trying to pass the detective examination but is unable to do so and lies about being a detective to his wife. Audrey also has his fantasies relating to detective stores and plots. They plan a so-called 'honeymoon' trip to Europe to bring some lost spark to their fifteen old years wedding. Upon their boarding, on the airplane, they meet Charles Cavendish (Luke Evans) who invites them to his elderly uncle's wedding and that too with whom, his very own ex-fiancée. But the wedding party does not go as planned and the theme gets darker and darker when one by one everyone on the ship is being killed either one way or the other. You can see a perfect combo of murder mystery and comedy in this movie and I find it to be very beautiful. Adam and Jennifer, as well as the supporting crew, have truly done justice to their roles. Since now the movie is around a year old, so there is no need to take a subscription for it. You may get it easily from third-party platforms or may borrow your friend's subscription for a day. I would give it a rating of seven stars.

1 April 2020
The third and final part of the trilogy revolves around Alan, who after the untimely demise of his father decides to change his ways and start living with some new standards to renovate his life. But all things don't go as planned and the four again land into trouble when Chow's enemies abduct Doug. This film too is very entertaining but what I found is that it lost its very own essence of the hangover. In the film, you see only Chow enjoying the hangover, while the four are always in trouble. The film is very humourous and good comedy too but still I would highly recommend the previous parts over this especially the first one. But still, I would give this film a positive rating.

In part two, the four friends "the wolfpack" travel to Thailand for Stu's wedding. But things take a roll towards the previous chapter and this time Stu's future brother in law goes missing. This film is also very entertaining and I hope you will enjoy their second hangover ( I wouldn't reveal the destination). The film is equally good and well made. I find no discrepancies from the side of filmmakers, but still, you will enjoy the first part more as the same theme is being re-used here and you know that if the theme is re-used each time successively then it loses its very own essence and the perceived satisfaction decreases. But still, I give a big thumbs up to this film too.

Honest Review by Divyam Saran
1 April 2020
In the first part, before Doug gets married, Philip, Stu, Alan & Doug travel to Las Vegas for a bachelor's party. However, on the very next morning, none of them have any memory of the last night and they must find Doug before the wedding can take place. It is the best part of the whole series. It is engaging to see their excursion all through Las Vegas, their experience with various individuals, some exceptionally odd as well and the peak, regardless of whether they can discover Doug or not is fascinating. The film is loaded with funniness and holds your breath. Music, direction, and screenplay are excellent. It's nice to have a virtual tour of Las Vegas and you might also wish to hang up with your friends thereafter watching this movie.

Guilty (II) (2020)
3/10
Expect honest review without spoilers.
29 March 2020
Today, I am reviewing a feminist film, 'Guilty'. The film is a Netflix project and is an impressive show. The plot of the film revolves around Nanki Dutta's (Kiara Advani) boyfriend, Vijay Pratap Singh (Gurfateh Singh Pirzada), who has been accused of rape by Tanu Kumar (Akansha Ranjan Kapoor), who is a new student in the same college. Seeing the hype around the #MeToo movement in India, earlier I was reluctant to see this movie but afterward, somehow my mind changed. I would not criticize the acting of characters, rather I would appreciate to some extent. This film focuses on crimes against women and promotes the #MeToo movement. Though the movement is not misused in the film, I still wouldn't recommend this film. I find today's youth in our country very immature. We can see glimpses in the film where various male students join protests held in Tanu Kumar's favour and they even say "Real Men are Feminists". I mean what the hell is that? I can't understand how someone could be so immature that the police investigations (in general) are going on or are pending and you have already given your judgment. This is childish and causes mental trauma to the accused if he is not guilty. You know, because of such fraudulent activities only #HimToo movement came into play. It is based on the false rape allegations against men, most of the allegations being part of the MeToo movement. I would like to give a clarification that I am not here to criticize this film but I criticize the very deep idea and people's immaturity. My advice to the film fraternity, quit making feminist films and make some dozen and a half films keeping #HimToo as the centre, not to promote this movement but to neutralize the negative effects of the MeToo movement. This point needs to be noted that the same coin has two faces and none can't be neglected. Sorry, yet I give this film a contrary rating of 3 stars and that wouldn't have occurred if individuals would be unprejudiced and treated people similarly and didn't follow MeToo indiscriminately.

Review by Divyam.
28 March 2020
Today I am reviewing a very special movie, special not because it is released on Netflix, because it is the remake of Pokemon- The First Movie. Before I start, I suggest that if you like the traditional Pokemon series, only then read my review. I consider this movie a revision for those who have not watched Pokemon for a past few years. Pokemon: Mewteo Strikes Back Evolution is in my view is a great evolution to the characters. The animation and the music especially the opening and closing score are really awesome. It isgood to see Ash with Pikachu, Misty and Brock together. They bring lots of nostalgic feelings to me. Also, its amazing to see the Team Rocket reprising their roles and continuing following their old tactics. The film is based on an artificial pokemon 'Mewtwo', which is based on the original Mew and is considered to be far more superior from original one or in fact the most superior pokemon. Mewtwo is the result of high-level research carried out by scientists in their research laboratory keeping Mew's body's sample as base. Unable to realize his existence and purpose, Mewtwo wages a war against all the existing pokemons in order to prove that he is the most powerful one. The animations of OLM'S CGI Unit are worth appreciation. They have done a fantastic job. I am even unable to find any major loop holes in the film. The film is nether too long nor too short and whatever is shown is entertaining and thus we don't get bored. It is one of the best Pokemon pictures in the franchise I have evr watched and I suggest to give it a watch and I hope that if this film released on big screen then it would be a much grander and huge experience. I give the film a positive rating of 9 stars.

Bloodshot (2020)

Bloodshot honest review by Divyam.
28 March 2020
Well yesterday I watched Vin Diesel's latest flick 'Bloodshot' and you might be familiar with the name because it is based on the character of same name created by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton. The film is based on the life of a U.S. Marine Ray Garrison and his wife Gina. He is a very brace and daring officer who never fears death. While on a holiday with his wife, they both suddenly gets kidnapped and were finally killed. Further, it is shown that a lab named 'Rising Spirit Tech.' resurrects Garrison but just only to use him for their personal negative motives. The film is a waste of time, money and energy as well. I find no novelty in the story of the film. You may watch Deadpool or Spider-Man instead of sparing money to watch this non-sense piece of action. I was really very bored and at the end even was very tired to see such old stories being re-used again and again, and the only difference is they use some new, high quality graphics, VFX, etc. Vin Diesel and Eina Gonzalez have done justice to their roles but they alone can't save the film. I say that the storyline is the heart of the film and because the storyline was poor, so even direction and screenplay can't save it, though neither too impressed me. In my view, you should not watch this movie neither in cinema nor on digital platforms. Rather, watch some old movies like ones stated above of same genre. I give the film a negative rating of three stars.

Sex Education Season 1&2 Review- By Divyam Saran
28 March 2020
Netflix is back with one more intriguing engagement 'Sex Education'. Till present, there are 2 seasons disclosed, one on 11 Jan 2019 and another on 17 Jan 2020. This is one of my initial engagement and my early introduction is fruitful. I watched this series this year just in February, so I binge-watched all the 16 scenes of the two seasons together. This series is based on the life of a youthful youngster, Otis Milburn who is socially idle and feels unbalanced because of his mom's calling, Dr. Jean Milburn, who is a sex advisor however this by itself isn't the sole factor, there are different factors as well. Eric is his closest companion with whom he shares everything and the two of them like to go together on cycle with one another. Maeve is his schoolmate who in the later phases of the show turns out as his genuine romance. Adam Groff is the child of head Groff. Adam is socially unbalanced and a domineering jerk type figure as well yet we can see extreme changes in him further as well. Jackson Marchetti is the headboy of Moordale who is, as I would see it, the most dynamic student of Moordale. He further takes part in a solid relationship with Maeve Wiley. The series in my view addresses the middle age group the school & college going class only, so I consider it has a very limited audience. I would give a special comment on the friendship between Otis and Eric. Well, the friendship between the two is not just friendship, it is even beyond brotherhood at some points. Likewise, I might want to state that the chemistry among Maeve and Jackson just as Maeve and Otis is astounding and fascinating to see. The supporting cast has likewise done their jobs strictly. Regardless of whether it be the principal of Moordale, Principal Groff or the music instructor or the English one or let it be Eric's dad or Maeve's sibling or Jackson's parents or Mrs. Groff, I can't list them all, all have assumed their job well overall and you would not feel that they are a part of the supporting cast. Likewise, it is another experience to see 'The Untouchables' or I state the high-class bunch in school. They additionally continue holding your eyes. This show additionally closes down a type of generalizations against sex which are as yet thought to be around the world. The story is exceptionally new and imaginative. You could see a significant level of curiosity right now. The direction, screenplay, and music are additionally fine. There are several instances in the series from which we can learn various lessons. We can see the difficulties faced by Maeve Wiley because of her brother who is a small drug dealer and her mother who is a drug addict and has left her and her brother alone to make a living in tough conditions. We can learn that at some points in life we may have to live alone, face loneliness and deal with other tough situations. We can also see challenges faced by Eric Furlong because of his orientation towards the same gender and his sufferings due to the discrimination against the LGBT community. Also, we learned that the poor relations between Otis Milburn's parents affected him mentally. Also, we can learn that the parents should not pressurize their children as we see in Jackson Marchetti's case, which could hinder their real potential and does not allow them to explore their self. As I would see it, season1 is somewhat additionally fascinating and that possibly since by then when you begin viewing the principal scene of the primary season the substance is completely new. By and large, I would propose all to give it a watch. I believe this arrangement to be above normal and to be totally different from standard ones.

Ted 2 (2015)
8/10
Review of both parts of Ted- By Divyam Saran
28 March 2020
All things considered, a few motion pictures are with the end goal that they are adored by crowds of each age gathering. The film about which I am going to discuss today falls under that class, Ted and Ted 2. The film rotates around John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) who during his youth days, on the event of Christmas Eve wanted that his teddy springs up and it works out as expected. This film at that point manages the further existence of John as a grown-up, how Ted turns into a necessary piece of his life and how he influences his own life. This film, as I would see it, doesn't exhaust you and holds you till the end. It is pressed with amusement, sentiment, and some exciting activity as well. Although there are some scenes unsuitable for children, for example, when John and Ted smoke together or there might be some private minutes among Ted and his sweetheart, which gives this film an "A" rating yet at the same time I see this film as extremely engaging. The initial segment, Ted (2012), rotates around the life of John Bennett, his relationship with Lori Collins (Mila Kunis) and how Ted unfavourably influences their relationship. The subsequent part, Ted (2015), managed the life of Ted and his relationship with his better half Lynn (Jessica Barth). Right now, the film, Ted likewise faces a personality emergency as the American Government will not consider Ted as a typical individual. Seth MacFarlane has offered a voice to Ted and has likewise coordinated the establishment. His course is excellent remembering that it is his presentation directorial adventure. The screenplay and the story were additionally generally excellent. And if I say something about dialogues then they are very well written. Be it be dialogues of Ted too and the dialogue delivery is also really very entertaining and impressive. This was not the first occasion when I saw a film of Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis cooperating. Separately just as together this pair unquestionably functions admirably. I prior saw them in the film Max Payne (2008), where Mark assumes the title job and Mila assumes the job of Mona Sax. I truly regard these individuals as entertainers a great deal. Seeing a delicate toy come into life is a different encounter for me and I imagine that it would engage all of you as well. Although the film has become very old I think it has not lost its engaging variable. There are many things which we can learn from every movie and that is the case here too but I would state only one thing which I found out to be the most important. It is based on the priorities set by an individual in his or her life. Priorities are dynamic; they never remain fixed. John should have realized the same point. He should have felt that since he is in his 30s or 40s, Ted should not be his prime priority now. I know Ted is his best friend and they are so-called 'thunder buddies' of each other but they can maintain it but now through a certain distance. He did not realize so which adversely affected his relationship with his girlfriend, Lori Collins and which (though temporarily) spoilt his relationship with Ted, but that's not always the case in real life. Relations in today's world are very tender and need to be taken care of and for that right steps and the right time needs to be taken place to maintain every relation and lead a balanced life. By and large, these two movies, as I would like to think, merit watching work.

Tall Girl (2019)

Netflix Movie: Tall Girl (2019)- Review by Divyam Saran
28 March 2020
I recently saw the movie, Tall Girl (2019), which is a Netflix rom-com movie. I came to know about this film because it is produced by one of my favourite producers McG who has earlier made films like Charlie's Angels, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle and Terminator Salvation. The movie is a good treat for the teens and college-going class. The film begins with Jodi Kreyman (Ava Michelle), who due to her abnormal height is not able to involve in any sort of relationship with her college mates. Though her role is quite serious, there are moments with a lighter note too. Paris Berelic plays the role of Liz who is Jodi's best friend and serves as a source of constant motivation for her. Sabrina Carpenter plays the role of Jodi's sister and an aspiring model. Griffin Gluck plays the role of Dunkleman who is Jodi's childhood friend and is in love with her. The events of the film take a drastic turn when the second main protagonist, Stig Mohlin (Luke Eisner), a foreign exchange student enter Jodi's college. I would like to mention that the cast does not disappoint us but I still consider it to be a very ordinary project. The storyline too is very ordinary while the screenplay and direction are fine. The matter of the fact is that the movie holds you till the end and does not bore you. If I summarize in two lines, I would say, Tall Girl, is not a movie with depth. It has nothing new or fresh to bring to the genre. I would give this film an average rating of 6 stars and would advise that if you have free time this weekend then give this movie a one-time watch.

The Invisible Man (I) (2020)

The Invisible Man (2020)- Review by Divyam Saran
28 March 2020
First of all, I would like to express my gratitude towards all my readers for taking out time to read my first film review. This past weekend, I saw the movie The Invisible Man (2020). Since it is inspired by the famous novel of the same title by H.G. Wells, it was one to remember. The story revolves around a woman, Cecilia Kass (Elisabeth Moss), whose boyfriend, Adrain Griffin (Oliver Jackson Cohen), is working on the technology which enables one to become invisible. The movie starts with Cecilia waking up at midnight and tries to run away from the captivity of her boyfriend at an isolated house. She becomes successful in doing so with the help of her sister, Emily Kass (Harriet Dyer), she then stays with her sister's friend James Lanier (Aldis Hodge) and his daughter, Sydney Lanier ( Storm Reid). While coping with her past she gets the news of Adrain's suicide, but soon she starts to feel the existence of someone you can't see, but can hurt you! Watching this movie was a wholesome new experience for me. I even did not remember the names of the star cast. the acting of Elisabeth Moss is worth seeing. She has done a fantastic job. Other supporting casts have also done their part honestly. Direction and screenplay were also good. I can't judge the dialogue delivery since the movie was available in Hindi at my cinema. Overall, it was an average movie and I would say it to be a one time watch. What didn't impress me was the storyline. I think it is a reboot of the novel storyline and I miss the invisible man wrapped with white bandages all over his body. But still, if you are free this weekend, you may watch it out.
