Christmas wish
15 August 2020
I think this episode is great! They speed in time in a very natural way. The medical case with the girl without a heart is, well, heartbreaking. I love following her story.

The christmas music along the way is a little cheesy, but different and original.

I am not absolutely sure of this, but I can tell that it's Callie/Sara singing when they eat christmas dinner :-) That's so cool!!

A lot is happening this episode, but I like it. Change is good.

Teddy
15 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I love Teddy!! She is a ray of sunshine, and is so very necessary for the series. The way they present her is great, Yang doesn't like her and thinks she is a lightweight, but then Teddy completely schools her, still without being superior, just being a great teacher. It's fantastic to watch Teddy and Cristina in the beginning.

Great music, when Teddy and Cristina saves the kid with cardiac asthma and Izzie and Alex argue.

It is both nice and very sad to see Izzie again.... I love that she saves Dr. Singer(?) !!

It seems that everybody hates the chief, but I think he's great this moment in time. When we know what is wrong with his character, we understand what it's all about, and I like the story.

Warning: Spoilers
This is one of my favourite episodes of all time! It is BRILLIANT! The way they tell it, the story itself, the tension! It's just perfect! Really a masterpiece.

It is every bit as fun seeing it for the third, fourth, even tenth time, as the first one. It is THAT GOOD!!!

Great music when it all comes crashing down....and then the music stops and Reed realizes what happened - such a goosebump-moment. And then the interragation of April....so nerve wrecking!

I love this one!!!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is amazing! Excellent stories all around. And the acting is perfect! Callie's story with her father and Arizona...my GOD Sara is good! She really impresses! And her acting has been remarkable better and better while she's been on the show.

I also love every time we get to see vulnerable Cristina! It is so authentic and raw, she is amazing.

I especially enjoy the new people and new vibes, this episode really gives me a rush. In a very short time we get to know the personalities of the 4 Mercy West residents. Avery is a hero, Charles is sleazy, Reed is competitive and driven, and Kepner is uptight and annoying. I love having them thrown into the mix.

Bailey's speech to Izzie was also pretty magical.

Great song at the end, too !!

Btw: you can sooo tell that Ellen is very, very pregnant ;-)

Warning: Spoilers
My God those guys are worthless, can't even properly describe the food to Izzie! She looks wayyy more beautiful with almost no makeup, btw. Before she got sick she wore so much makeup, and now she looks incredibly beautiful without any.

The little girl who shot her father is the most gorgeous thing ever! And the case is so powerful, and I love that Meredith steps up and defends her. And the chief yelling at her, and then Derek talking to him. It's all very, very good. Ellen is amazing!

Izzie's mom is so annoying, I get why Izzie wouldn't want her there. Katherine does such a good job playing sick Izzie. It's incredibly real.

Great seeing Thatcher again, he is weird and awkward as always. The show follows up on him, and I like that. And yay Mark, for showing up at the restaurant. I love Mark and Lexie!

Blowhole

Warning: Spoilers
The main case is really touching, great acting. I always cry when the pasient's friends are being so kind and loving, even though they're never met. It is so touching. I don't think Izzie's overreacting that much actually when she yells at the interns. A faceless person who looks like that, and the doctors are whispering and laughing together in front of him is extremely unappropriate. Outside of the pasient's room is one thing, but in the room is unacceptable. They should be able to act professional.

Cristina's solo surgery is interesting. The pasient's acting is really good. You really feel for her. Cristina is so distant, uninterested. Her dream is coming true, but she has way too much involvement with Izzie so she neglects her part as a surgeon, which is the most important thing in her life. Eventually it becomes too much for her to handle. I really like the way they played that out. It was so powerful when she told Alex as she was about to start her surgery. And when they all line line up to see her after they know about it, it makes me cry. To see her being admitted and in the hospital bed is heartbreaking. Great music!

It's a funny bit with all the people camping out at Sheperd's trailer all day. A little cheesy and not very believable, but it's nice they try and ligthen the mood in the episode a little. It's a very serious episode.

The threesome-drama with the interns is also funny, light.

I love seeing Alex totally ace this one. And Arizona working against him, while Hunt is supporting him. Really good medical case. Exciting, and the only little piece of action this episode.

The case with the three young siblings is also very interesting. Nice to follow.

It's good that Sheperd has a breakdown. They have always shown him to be some kind of superman, but this shows that he is also vulnerable and human. His acting when Meredith visits him in the trailer is truly great! The anger, the darkness.

Richard is also falling apart, piece by piece. Lashing out at everyone around him. Funny bit with Adele and Miranda.

When Izzie tells Cristina it's really powerful, I get chills.

You're a murderer!
6 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The revealing of Izzie's illness is done very good. Step by step rather than a big, dramatic reveal. This makes it much more realistic.

The case with Dr. Campbell is interesting. Cristina is so arrogant. Dr. Campbell and Cristina are probably very much alike, and they both are wrong in their arrogance. I find it a little odd that the pasient is not even a little distrusting of Dr. Campbell after being told she made a mistake, but ok.

Arizona and Callie are just the very cutest. They're a true joy to watch. The back and forth is very entertaining.

I still think the storyline of Sheperd's case is a little off and has no good flow. He may have done a mistake in the first surgery, but it seems to me that it's not that uncommon. And now he works very hard to handle the complications that arise.... Addison is sooo very concerned. I think her concern is too big, too early. She is very concerned even before he has done anything that is out of the ordinary. It just feels a little overdone. Later on he goes totally overboard, and thats where they should have put all of the concern. It's like they tell us we should expect a lot more to happen before it really happens. Also, they way they talk to Jen's husband is terrible. That is extremely annoying! Explain what is going on, and say that they can't know at this point how it's going to go. Just everything about this case annoys me!!

The fight between Derek and Mark is pretty epic, though !

5 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It's always fun to have Addison visit! But, every time they mix up GA with Private Practice, I feel like the show loses it's flow, and the dialogue and story overall just feels a little forced and unnatural... This episode is not really a favourite of mine, but it's still good, I mean it's Grey's!

We get little drops of info on Izzie's health during the episode. That's good that they put that in. Some symptoms other than just Denny. She is so sweet making that competition for the interns and cheering them on. It was entertaining.

Mark and Lexie are still adorable!

And omg, Jen is still so annoying! All she ever does is whine and complain. And being a victim, all the time.

I have never watched Private Practice, but I really don't like any of them. Addie's brother and Naomi especially.

Warning: Spoilers
I think these two episodes after O'Malley dies are pretty great. I am one of the people who loves season 6 and everything with the merger. As a fan, I would of course want everything to stay the same, I want Burke to still be around, and I want Addie to never have left, and of course I want George to be alive. But both season 4 and 5 had a lot of the same, it was going a little bland, and to spice it up they made some unrealistic stories for our main cast. I feel like Cristina's character and story is the only one that has stayed strong and interesting, and not to mention: realistic!!! Meredith, George and Izzie all had periods of boring character developments where they just did not feel the same. George completely faded out after he failed his intern test. He never got his spark back, and he was not the same as the O'Malley from the first couple of seasons. Izzie was just weird all through season 4 and some of season 5. She got a great story again in the end of season 5, but her character is much more boring now. Meredith's character was a bit lost when she and Sheperd couldn't figure out for a whole season what they were. That was just a lot of uninteresting back and forth. So, my point is that the show need something fresh, just like the merger, to find its groove again, to be interesting and thrilling. Everything is familiar at this point, and after five seasons, the show needs to mix it up a bit. So I am a little bit in love with season 6. I hate that they killed off George, I would much rather see him leave to join the military and know that he was out there alive.... but I guess that wasn't thrilling and dramatic enough for a season finale... So, with things being as they are, it was great to fast forward a little bit and to get something new and exciting to start watching. These two grieving episodes were just the perfect way to do it! And the medical cases, with Andy and Clara were both really great!!

Elevator moment
25 May 2020
The opening of this episode is really great! I love little insights into all of the characters private life. And then the awful moment in Cristina's bed. That was such good TV!!! The episode starts off with a bang, and there is tension and excitement right away.

It is a serious episode, one that really hits you in the soul. There is so much sadness, yet so much beauty, so much truth. The managed to make Izzie's first hospital day very realistic, and all of the cast are doing a great job in this episode. Bailey is amazing, and I love how Sheperd slowly finds his way back. The case with the old lady who dies is also incredibly beautiful and sad. But why Mark is the attending on that case, I really don't understand....

Anyways; fantastic episode!!

24 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The romance and the sparks and the chemistry between Cristina and Owen is so beautiful to watch. They're really great together!

It seems like everyone like this pasient, Jen. Well, she is actually the wife of a pasient at first, but she has high blood pressure, and she becomes a pasient herself further on. And everyone is charmed by her and Sheperd likes her so much. I have always just found her to be really annoying actually. She is whiny and pushy and just irritates me a lot!

This episode is good, there is not much drama or action, but it still had good elements. A lot is building up, and you can feel that you get curious and want to know what will happen next.

What I think is really sad, is that George is completely fading out. He is barely present anymore. I miss him already, miss the old O'Malley that was awkward and goofy, but still tough and determined, with a heart of gold.

This episode is so intense, it's extremely emotional, and it is so very fantastic! It's dramatic and thrilling, and they manage to make you feel a million things with this episode.

Every moment is so good, every conversation is intense. Every story reaches a high point. The actors are amazing this episode. It makes you think long and hard about right and wrong, about black and white. About compassion and hate.

The music in this whole episode is also perfectly selected.

I have watched this episode so, so many times, and I always cry like a baby at the end...

Warning: Spoilers
There are so many exciting things going on at once! Mark and Lexie are secretly doing it, and Derek's mom are suddenly coming to town. Meredith freaks out about meeting her. There is some comic stuff here.

The medical cases with the death row pasient and the little boy Jackson continues, and the two stories intertwine. They manage to keep the tension up and play out these cases amazingly well! They actually make you both care for the death row pasient and hate him at the same time.

Wow, Owen's darkness really reached a new high. He's got so much pain and hurt. Fortunately, Cristina is someone who can handle it. The moment in the shower was really beautiful.

Warning: Spoilers
This is an interesting one. Sheperd, Grey, Yang and Hunt working on the same pasient, a death row prisoner. Yang and Grey are still not speaking together, and they have a very different view and opinions regarding the pasient. And interestingly enough, Sheperd and Hunt also share an opposite view, only Hunt agrees with Grey and Sheperd with Yang. There is a lot of tension and a lot to be read between the lines here. A strong case. And you get really worried for Cristina and Meredith's friendship.

And yay - welcome Arizona!!! So perky and shiny and sunny. She's just fantastic! Kinda annoying, but still. Bailey is being very Bailey, questioning everything about her, and being territorial. But Arizona impresses and takes a strong lead, her acting is very impressive.

Alex is being the perfect boyfriend. It is fantastic to see him like this.

Solo surgery
23 May 2020
There are two very interesting, blossoming romances going on at once. Cristina and Owen's is very out of the ordinary, kinda dysfunctional, aggressive kisses at night and then complete silence and awkwardness. But still there is a really strong attraction, you can tell. And a very special chemistry and a vulnerability and an understanding, they kinda have a special bond already. It is very nice to watch.

Mark and Lexie's is bumpy, awakward, cute and just very fun to watch. I love that he has become totally hung up on her. And that she is slowly catching on. I loved their moment in his hotel room when everything changed.

Dr. Dixons presence this time is more enjoyable than the last. Her character fits in well with the story. I really don't like her though. But she was the one helping Cristina make her choice. And it's a good choice.

It's great that they have Mer and Cristina fighting. It's very realistic. The writers are doing a very good job here.

23 May 2020
We get to follow the interns this episode, and they're being rebels. It, exciting, it's dangerous. It's very entertaining. And the fact that Mer and Cristina have to act very adult and handle the situation like teachers is nice. They kinda get to do a solo surgery, take charge.

The medical case with the sleepwalking dad is good. The little girl is a great actress, and it is so nice to see Mark caring like that. I love that look on him.

Yang's little outburst to Meredith was really great. I support everything she said. I also liked the way the residents handled the interns afterwards. It's so nice seeing our residents grow like that.

Izzie's thing with Denny is still weird, and when you have no idea where it's going you think the whole thing is ridiculous. But I get it, and it's not that bad.

Death & Die
22 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I remember this as one of the first episodes I ever thought was a little boring. The Izzie/Denny-connection was so weird and just has no place on a medical show. It felt incredibly wrong.

But now, after seeing it all several times, I am able to enjoy it all in a whole different way. The reason why Izzie is seeing Denny is not that crazy at all, and it is in fact medical. So knowing that makes it work for me.

Still, it's not the most exciting episode, and I definately don't like Dr. Dixon. Every episode she is in, annoys me.

I think it's fun having Sadie join in. Yes, she's a little annoying, but makes Lexie loosen up a bit, and brings some action. Plus, new people is fun!

I love Mark & Lexie, they're perhaps my favourite couple throughout the series. And it's actually really funny that it was Meredith's concern when there was nothing between them that sparked a little something in the first place.

Wow, this episode is really sad. Really great, but so sad. Made me cry several times.

Denny showing up, Hahn's pasient who never got the heart he should have had. All of the unclaimed bodies, the guy that was beaten so badly, he died. And the beautiful old couple. All of it so sad. Cristina's story about when she lost her dad was completely heartbreaking.

An important and beautiful episode!

I loved that Callie was defending Izzie to Erica. But I completely understand Erica's side of things, and I think most people would have reacted like she did.

I still think O'Malley is kinda being left behind....he is almost never in the OR anymore. That's too bad....his character is fading out.

Owen's character is interesting, and you can really tell he is hiding so much darkness under the surface. He's mysterious.

Warning: Spoilers
I thought it was heartbreaking when Erica opened up about her feelings, all emotional and then Callie freaking out and dismissing her. She just left her hanging there, all raw and vulnerable. It was really hard to watch. An amazing acting moment by Erica. Masterly done. And then to follow them both during the day, how different they handled their feelings and then finally being able to talk to one another at the end of the day. I understand it's freaking Callie out not to feel more comfortable with either a man or a woman, just being somewhere in between, not knowing what to to with it. It's a nice story to involve in the show.

I think it's great Izzie fought for animal rights and stood her ground with Owen, never backing down. And it was great seeing Cristina getting so involved and starting to care for the pigs in the end.

The story with Tori was also nice. A good episode!

Cool episode. Different. I love when they're all working together on a case. The people and the stories in this medical case are good, very touching. Great music. I cried, as usual.

The article about the Sheperd Method is really making waves. A lot of reactions, some good, some bad. It was really great how they played this one out. And I applaude Meredith for standing up for herself. Also, it's really fun seeing her all bitter and huffy. Bailey's speech to Sheperd was great and very well deserved.

I admire Izzie for caring so much about Alex and not giving up on him even though he has been horrible to her. She is exactly what he needs.

Lexie has been spineless and weak for too long now. Glad she told O'Malley off. Hope now she can grow as a person and as a doctor.

Devil Alex is sooo back. He is hurting, so he lashes out at everyone, especially the ones he care about. I mean, I hate him for it, but he makes good TV. But: I am SO glad Izzie used her skill to get her surgery back, she was so boss when she let Alex have it in the scrub room. Go Iz!

Nice seeing George actually being involved in a medical case again. And he is so great with Duncan.

My God, Callie's little rant to Bailey about being south of the border with a female was spectacular. Bailey's face! And then Callie's expression! She can do that thing where her forehead pulls backwards and that's really cool!

I enjoyed this episode, it's still a different vibe now in season 5 and I like it.

This is a great episode! There's tempo, spark. I think the medical cases are very entertaining! I loved the one with the old guy in pain. And I think it's great that Lexie is the one that diagnosed him. We should see much more of her as a doctor. It's a good look for her. Her and Mark's relationship starts up as some kind of friendship. Slow. I like it! They are really great together.

The flood and the pasient who was so unlucky were both great additions to this episode. The chief's new rules and the strict policy was a nice way of bringing new life to the cast.

When Izzie learned that Cristina had completely misunderstood her gesture with the apartment - hilarious!!

The song in the end is magically beautiful. Pitter Pat.

We made a man walk!
21 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Cristina and Owen's chemistry now in the beginning is pretty great. Love watching them flirt and interact with each other. Although now, when you know Owen well after 10 seasons, you can tell that this is not really «him». But, you can always hide behind that his character has developed or something. Cause he is quite different.

The little bit from Cristina's imagination where she and Meredith are both old is fantastic!! Hilarious! And they are both excellent at playing old. Their movements, their talking, it is so good!!

The wrap up of the medical case with the ladies and their husbands is very beautiful and powerful. And it is funny to see Bailey commiting insurance fraud....when fast forward 10+ years and she fires Meredith and Alex and Richard for the exact same thing...!! That is what I mean when I say that Bailey is way more human, more caring and just a better person in these seasons than what she becomes later on.

They managed to end the Derek/Rose thing ok. It's weird that we never see her again ever after this, but it's fine.

I love that Richard is desperate to change the hospital for the better, being both a little reckless and aggressive. He needs some spice. The speech he makes in the end is great. Exciting!!

I think Callie and Erica are cute together, and I don't think the show forced anything here. It feels natural and slow and just realistic. And it's good seeing Erica a little vulnerable for once.

Wow, just everything with Denny makes me cry...always! At the end of this episode I'm in tears again.

SO!??
21 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It doesn't quite feel like just continuing from season 4 although it's suppose to. Lexie is suddenly in love with George... It's not impossible that that could happen, it just seemed kinda hasty. The vibe between the characters seems a little different. But I enjoy the main medical case, and that everyone is involved with it. It's a good case.

I think they made Rose a little too bitter and vengeful...and just...crazy! They went a little overboard there, it doesn't feel very realistic. A tiny thing that has annoyed me is that they make it out to be very clear that Rose is a scrub nurse in neuro. Derek tells her to find a different specialty. But when Addison was visiting, Rose was the scrub nurse in her OR, because they wanted to make that awkward scene where Addison talked about her without knowing who she was. It's not consistent, and I like it better when these things are kept right.

I love that Owen has joined in (almost). And I love how he and Cristina interacts. I also enjoy seeing how Derek and Mark join together to dislike Owen. It's fun!
