Reviews
Touched by an Angel (1994)
Great show
As I read other users comments there are a lot of people who are disgusted by the fact that it is such a "Clean show". Well I love this clean show. I do believe in God and Angels, but that is not the reason I love this show. The show is very touching. I even know athiest who watch and enjoy Touch by an Angel. There is a lot more to the show then Angels saving the day. People learn to relate with others. I am actually disgusted by the fact that other people are disgusted by the sweetness of the show. We have dozens of shows out there that is based around nothing but sex, drugs, affairs etc. It is nice that there is ONE show on regular networks that is non offensive.
But then again it seems to be okay for Christians to be offeneded, but offend a nonbeleiver and all the laws change. *I do write that last statement at the risk of offending people:)
It is a enjoyable show....give it a try and bring a hankie!
Little Women (1994)
Great film
This version of Little Women was pretty good. The acting was great,Winona Ryder is a great actress. However, she is just far to glamourous to portray Jo. I must admit out of the 3 main versions the 1949 version is my fave. But this version is right along side it.
Blondie Plays Cupid (1940)
Great movie to get friends to watch a black and white film!
This movie is to funny. Especially the part where Baby Dumpling takes the car for a ride. The characters are played perfectly and Baby Dumpling is too adorable . I know a lot of people who will not watch black and white films, this comedy is a great way to get them hooked!
Yours, Mine and Ours (1968)
Great
I loved this film and that fact that it is based on a true story makes it that much better! Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda played their roles excellently as did there co-star Van Johnson. It was nice to see a young Tim Matheison and Tracy Nelson as their roles of the children. Wonderful family movie
Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948)
A must see
I loved this film. I first saw it when I was 20 ( which was only four years ago) and I enjoyed it so much, I brought my own copy the next day. The comedy is well played by all involved. I always have to rewind and rewatch the scene where Mr. Tsanders explains why he found water at 6 ft in one area and 227 feet in another area. Also look for Jason Robards father who plays Mr. Retch. Talent ran in that family.
