Avatar: The Last Airbender: Spirited Away (2024)
Excuse me? Why is Koh here?
Introducing the spirit world must have been handled with better care.
Katara and Sokka should not have been there or even faced Koh during their flashbacks because they are both very emotional especially early on their adventure. According to canon they should have their faces stolen but of course this didn't happen.
Also, when Aang saw him for the first time he acted like he's never seen him before, which it's in someway true but not. He saw him and looked scared therefore his face should have been stolen.
I'm sorry but this ruined the story for me, I understand that some changes are necessary but you don't go ahead and change the rules of the game for absolutely no reason.
Interstellar (2014)
Love transcends all dimensions
This is my favorite movie. Cinematography is mind blowing when you realize how much thought Christopher Nolan put into having beautiful shots with a mix of cgi and practical effects. Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey really take the cake on outstanding acting, so real, raw and vulnerable.
I am a big fan of Christopher Nolan's non linear storytelling and this is a perfect example of multiple non linear stories at play meeting in different points to create an engaging experience.
I cannot fathom how creative this movie is and will continue to impress me over the years.
It's my absolute favorite movie because it has all the elements to a spectacle.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: A Connected Bond: Daybreak and First Light (2023)
My absolute favorite in the series so far!
It would be very hard to give my opinion about this episode without giving any spoilers so I suggest you come in without having read anything about it so you get the full experience.
Since reviews must be long now I will point out what Ufotable has done to ensure this series is a masterpiece.
Animation budget is unlimited for these people because they take it out of the park, the trees, the grass the breathing techniques and blood demon art powers are stunning.
Tanjiro is a hero that it's written to be an extremely lovable character and ufotable has made sure to honor him and made him memorable.
The Morning Show: La Amara Vita (2021)
How can you redeem the "unredeemable"
This is a good portrayal of what happens to a person that realizes that they did horrible things and now have the guilt to carry.
Mitch wants to be a better person even though he knows that he will carry the weight of his sins for the rest of his life. This does not excuse the severity of his mistakes but the show wants you to see what happens after a person's life is destroyed by their own doing.
The media world is taught will not forgive even thought people want to do better.
I read someone say that Jennifer Anniston and Steve Carrell's acting was terrible but I have not idea what that person think talent is.
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Cinematic masterpiece
If you're reading the reviews that the story isn't as strong as other movies, they're just being snobs and probably didn't get enough love from their parents.
James Cameron's focus on this movie is to create an immersive experience into Pandora and he did it majestically.
I took my entire family to see and everyone was mindblown at the landscapes, fauna, and flora.
This movie makes me want to see so many more Avatar movies, nobody wanted the movie to end because we felt like we were part of the world at least for a tiny second.
EXTREMELY RECOMMENDED watch on IMAX 3D. It will change your opinion of 3D movies.
I want more!
The Menu (2022)
A really good horror satire comparing today's extravagant food culture and basic good food
Every person portrayed in the menu represents a social comparison of what is wrong with todays world, people lying, cheating, stealing, obsessing, and sometimes those who suffer because of the cause of someone else.
The movie is not perfect, it lacks a little bit more of the before and after storytelling but it still excels to keep you at the edge of the seat.
The strong language could have been kept minimal, sometimes using the f word to express extreme emotion can get overused and desensitizing. This happens quite often when a movie desperately wants to be an R rated. I'm not asking to children proof the movie but choose carefully the script to make strong emotions matter.
Dead to Me: We've Reached the End (2022)
For those that don't understand why they had to finish in 3 seasons
Unfortunately Christina Applegate was diagnosed with MS during the production of the 3 season and the show was forced to end early.
EVEN THEN! The director and amazing acting made this season a really good wrap up.
The 3 season shows us the truly amazing relationship that Judy and Jen had.
Please don't judge this ending too quickly without realizing that with all difficulties they managed to deliver a wonderful last season and excellent wrap up to the entire story.
Let's not focus on what was not said but what was showed.
I honestly hope Christina and Linda get nominated for their remarkable performance.
Doctor Who: Turn Left (2008)
I hate Donna's mom so much!!!!!!!!
I hate Donna's mom I hate her so much! Everything is her fault, I wish the directors would have given her a gruesome and very long painful and horrible death while she regretted being such a piece of garbage to her daughter.
Repeating just to meet characters

The School for Good and Evil (2022)
Just let her you know what
That revival scene ruined the whole movie for me. First of all because killing is mentioned in the movie in a regular basis but there are 0 deaths lol.
Secondly it went from 8 stars to 4 just because they decided to make Sophie some kind of love beats all things example but it was so bad I almost turned off my TV out of second hand embarrassment.
Lastly, I'm not sure if Netflix wanted to make everyone and everything inclusive but it was so weird to hear these girls set in the feudal age speak like a Gen Z on mushrooms wrote their dialogue.
I understand that all fairy tails are supposed to be there but man this only narrowed it down to Disney princesses.
It was so bad I wish I could charge Netflix for my waste of time.
Kaze no tani no Naushika (1984)
Comparing to Miyazaki's work this is a 8/10 but compared to other movies is a 10/10
It's so fascinating how Hayao Miyazaki's stories are so unique and amazing in their own way.
This story is about the power that one person has to change the world around them as long as they choose to do good and kind to those around.
In contrast to what happens to kingdoms and nations when they choose to pursuit the selfish path of dominion masqueraded as survival.
I am a big fan of how Mr. Miyazaki reuses characteristics from other characters in his movies it's like an intentional cameo of animation.
This is not Spirited away or Howls Moving Castle but it definitely deserves the recognition of a wonderful movie.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)
Not bad not good, just is.
Initially we didn't watch the movie because WB studios shouldn't receive compensation for kicking Johnny Depp on the street and never retracting their actions once the jury ruled on his favor. I have nothing against the actor that plays Grindelwald but he just isn't him. This is like asking Brad Pitt to play Jack Sparrow, it just wouldn't work.
The movie expands the universe and teaches us more stories from everyone in the Wizarding World, unfortunately it does nothing further than this, the movie has good effects, somewhat good acting (except. Jessica Williams, her accent was deplorable), and just a plain story.
Very long, very expensive, and very medium.
Look Both Ways (2022)
Thought was going to be another woke netflix garbage but I stand corrected!
I am so happy that this movie was able to portray that no matter your life decisions you will still go through very hard times and very good times.
It shows us that comparing to other "lives" that we could have is not really about what we missed but knowing that each path will have fun surprises and hard trials.
Very very happy about this movie!
Suits: Intent (2015)
The way my jaw dropped when...
"You know I love you Donna" had me shocked because he finally speaks of this indescribable feeling between the both of them.
I know this show didn't win any awards or big recognition but the acting is good and the writers do a fantastic job at keeping you at the seat's edge!
The Gray Man (2022)
Very entertaining, not really looking for 10 stars
This movie will be worth your while on a Friday night. If you're trying to find the next big 5 Oscar winner you won't find it here, but it's definitely entertaining full of innovative action sequences and somewhat solid storyline.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Everything that I love in a movie
This is a brilliant masterpiece! This movie blends action, comedy, and drama so effortlessly. I was blown away at the multiverse created by the writers while keeping the main theme of the movie.
I'm not gonna give any spoilers but this movie is probably one of the best ones I've seen this year, Oscar worthy no doubts.
Update: no matter how many times I watch this movie it's still teaching me that a lot of times we hope to be somewhere else when we actually we could enjoy the here and now.
Stranger Things: Chapter Nine: The Piggyback (2022)
It has it all!
This episode has everything I want from Stranger Things, it has the love, it has so much emotion, extreme cool fights, freighting monsters, effects that will blow your mind.
What I loved the most is how they created an amazing lead to season 5!
Best show ever!
Stranger Things: Chapter Eight: Papa (2022)
Holy crap!
Man everyone did a fantastic job, acting was on point, writing excellent, really good leading to a wonderful comeback of the gang.
Definitely worth watching right at midnight. It was an amazing feeling that Netflix was lagging because of the amount of people that tuned in to watch it as soon as it came out!
Sing 2 (2021)
Incredible sequel
Vocals are amazing, really good production and very family friendly.
If you're a fan of music and animated movies this is perfect for you, I love imagining that at some point this could be a very good crossover with zootopia.
Stranger Things: Chapter Four: Dear Billy (2022)
One of the best episodes in the entire series
Besides loving each character and their character arc. This episode dives into the issues that Max is dealing and it makes a comparison to how she must deal with her pain.
The writers did a fantastic job at keeping us at the edge of our seat and made us really connect with all the characters each minute.
Absolutely loved this episode, definitely Grammy worthy.
The Shannara Chronicles (2016)
Season 1 really good potential, season 2 woke
They wanted to add so many political correctness and woke (and weak) storylines to side characters that made the show unwatchable, kinda glad it got cancelled.
Severance (2022)
AppleTV+ does it again
I'm very glad to see that AppleTV+ unlike Netflix, they invest in very good shows with very good potential. This show is fantastic, the character developments, plot twists and suspense is fantastic, one of the best shows of 2022.
Elden Ring (2022)
For those that say that the game is too hard
If you find yourself complaining about how little instructions, hard bosses, and difficult play style. Maybe you should try candy crush on easy mode.
This is the true definition of open world, you get to choose your own adventure and the only guide is yourself, no handicaps or mercy. The learning curve is very steep but highly rewarding.
Most certainly one of the best open world games I have played in years.
Detroit: Become Human (2018)
One of the best games I've ever played
The decision making ability and consequences for your actions clearly reflect on the outcome of the game.
This game is full of emotion (even for androids!) and excitement, definitely worth my time.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses (2021)
"It's so bad I wanna give you a zero
But that's not possible, so I give you a one."
If you feel like watching a show so staged, weird and cringe maybe this is your choice.
It's good if you just take the questions and answer them at home but ignore the show itself.
It is pretty staged and the contestants look like they are required to discuss every decision that goes through their brain. Really funny.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Excellent representation of today's USA media and politics
This movie might not be the best but the writing clearly reflects how today's generations is so much more focused on celebrities, politics, and scandals than humanity. People in leadership blindly follow a doofus that promises power and money moves at the expense of the lower classes.
Hopefully this can serve as a wake up call for our generation to change the future.
