Yali Çapkini (2022)
Traumatizing! Steer clear!
Shame on the producers. This series is highly traumatizing and clearly aims to hurt family relations in Turkey. What is going on? There are even child actors/actresses in the series that are being arrogantly shouted to. All of the writers deserve to be fired and never get any work again. What a shame...
The series is not being marketed effectively and is not a typical love story or based on true events. It tells the story of a young woman who is forced into marriage with a narcissistic man who treats her poorly, but she inexplicably falls in love with him. The writer relies on clichés and scenes from other TV shows, making it hard to believe the story is based on reality. The male character repeatedly cheats on and humiliates, but she forgives him without any apology. Even after nineteen episodes, the male character does not show any character development. The show's attempt to romanticize their relationship only makes the situation more ridiculous. Almost every female character in the show is a victim of abuse, while almost every male character is an abuser. It is frustrating to see so much cruelty against women without any of them standing up for themselves.
Modern Family: Connection Lost (2015)
Pretty unique and well executed
An Apple ad? You people shouldn't forget that Modern Family is solely based on United States' family structure, and basically everyone uses Apple devices there. You're the odd one out if you are using anything else. Also Apple provides free devices to whole Hollywood so here we are. The episode was fast paced, nostalgic in these times and it suited the storyline well (although I must admit it was hard to keep up at times.) I like unique experiments like this, especially when they are nicely executed.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Last Day Pt 2 (2021)
Well executed finale
After seeing how bad the season 8 is, my feeling of needing another season gone away. However this episode really made ends meet. The only thing is that it was way too predictable, and the reason character gives for the finale is very bland. Anyway, nice execution!
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Good Ones (2021)
Not everything should reflect real life events
Most of us viewers are watching sitcoms to break away from the real life, only to be fed with some stupid agenda over and over. This needs to stop eventually. This episode was the worst example of this. I knew this was coming when they scrapped the whole script after George Floyd. They could still make a tribute along the lines of being a "sitcom" as this is a police show in the end. However this is far from being it.
