I had a hard time with this film. The subject matter and the characters were so real to life. I felt like I knew every one of the awful humans portrayed. The snapping girlfriend, the pretentious gen Z boss, the the classroom full of brittle spirited trigger warning parents. Seeing Bill's character get destroyed by the absolute worst of society was actually infirating and depressing to watch. I really wanted his character to push back much harder than he ended up doing. I wanted him to win. The message by the end was to keep your mouth shut and don't make waves if you can avoid it... but I love Bill Burr because he DOES make waves.

TLDR, way too close to reality to be funny.

I have to know what collection of imbeciles got together and spent money on this. It's not resident evil, not even a little. Even if you watch this knowing nothing about the well established source material (that they didn't pull from)....again... it's hot garbage from every angle. Feels like it was written by high-school students making some indy film with a huge budget. The 2 sister characters and the random black Wesker were awful. Pathetic and upsetting as a RE fan. Please do a sliver of research Hollywood before you try and adapt an IP with any kind of fanbase. I also find it sad this review requires 600 characters to even post. When did that become a thing?

I enjoyed it but it definitely felt like I've see it before. After great shows like Vikings and last kingdom touched on so many of these themes in the same way. The acting performances were great, the cinematography was great... it just came out 8 years too late.

Seriously I don't understand how this got green lit... for any nostalgic viewers it's not the buzz we know.... he's not thd over the type 80s action guy that toy story depicts him as... he doesn't even have Tim Allens voice... they just took the name and slapped it on some random story they wanted to tell...because "Kidz bop Inception" wouldn't have played out as well... anyway the themes are very adult and somehow sadly childish at the same time... how did the movie Andy saw back then translate to the toy he just had to get? Please stop screwing up your own continuity Disney... this gets 2 stars for the shameless cute cat they added...

Don't know how you can rate this a 10, it's paid disney shills to inflate the score.... Obi Wan makes so many stupid mistakes so far and lost his connection to the force? Really? Is every heroic protagonist turned into a pathetic sad old man to make way for some diverse replacement.... this show is off to a terrible start and I don't like where it's going... they make him as incompetent as Boba Fett... gross.

Edit: finished it... ugh... worse than I thought...another bait and switch should be called the "Reva" show... please stop messing with the Canon lore and warping it to some pathetic agenda...

Zack and poopies were badass and hilarious. The OG gang are and remain amazing. A little too much dick stuff in this one...and the girl addition felt like a prop. That being said I laughed harder than I had in years from start to finish. Amazing.

Miles had humility, he was thoughtful, he was afraid, he was human. He thought he wasn't worthy of being the "next of him" he would be the "first of me". He would wear a different suit and use the name loosely as homage to the original spiderman. He had a great respect for Peter Parker and the that is so so important to torch passing. Respect the original.... looking at you, star wars, star trek, Dr who, terminator.

As a guy watching this it's definitely targeted to women but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I still really enjoyed it. I like Claire's fish out of water story of bringing knowledge from the future that's always fun especially when so many see her medical expertise as witchcraft. The buff handsome Scottsman Jaime that ends up (pretty quickly) as the love interest I rolled my eyes at, at first...he grew on me though and I'm on season 6 enjoying it a lot. Most of my guy friends do not like it.

Typical Disney in 2022.... Bleh... what an irritating main character... surprised they green lit a film made for such a niche group of people. Of course the Disney shills are making sure the ratings aren't garbage but anyone with any film sense can see this is a crappy version of "Joy Luck Club" with 1/10th of the emotional punch. Remember when they made movies where you could relate to at least one character in the movie?

The original was charming and fun. This tries the same formula but trips hard with the delivery. The attempt to be woke is also stinking all over it...when will hollywood learn?

Convulted with too many characters... too many songs that could have been 2 lines in the movie. That strong girl song was hard to watch "drip drip drip" my teeth breaking from cringe. I wasn't attached to any of the characters enough for the emotional payoff to hit very hard in the end (which it had the potential for). They made sure to tell us that the strong girl and the perfect girl were more than their gifts but then never showed us what that was.. shes...not...perfect all the time? She doesn't want to be strong all the time...

Bruno and the concept of foresight is always interesting...unfortunately a small part of the movie.

After some absolute stinkers, it was such a breath of fresh air to watch this banger of a movie. The pacing and shocking plot twists had me glued from start to finish. They carefully threaded the needle of nostalgia and building on it (a task most movies have failed at). It was ambitious what they did and they totally stuck the landing. Please release good movies like this marvel... 🙏 😭

Overall the writing and plot was some of the best on television. Had great characters and a satisfying ending (which is rare these days).

There were a few slow spots as the title mentioned...during their time working for gus...but it wasn't enough for me to take off any stars... a series that captivates and maintains its quality for the entire run is incredible.

Wow. Just wow.... this is proof that you can have a diverse cast of characters from every background and it not be woke garbage. Every character was 3 dimensional, flawed and flushed out. Who was good, and who was bad, was often not clear (which is life). I've never played league of legends and I don't plan to but that's another huge compliment to this series...it didn't require you to do so prior to watching nor did it push me to at any point. It wasn't just a commercial for the game. Props to the writers for great lines, good pacing.

Didn't butcher the old characters, and did Egon justice.

A wee bit woke shoe horning in the random token black girl as a 4th character... felt forced...and of course Egons granddaughter being unnaturally good at just about everything, they at least gave her some minor flaws to compensate (socially awkward)... still... wasn't complete trash. It was ok.

So many strange decisions in this film. The Meta references..., the focus on Neo and Trinitys relationship. The need to bring back every nostalgic character often for no purpose...

This movie at its best is when it's doing new things and NOT rehashing the old films. I wish it was a completely new story with Neil Patrick Haris and John Groff because they are amazing actors. Keanu had a bad script to work with but still did great as neo.

The main character is a woman, she dominates men most of the show in her field of expertise(chess) and sleeps with several of them too, she even has a "sexy" drug addiction. Shes crushing it and we root for her the whole time... because she has flaws, and inner struggles and demons to overcome. The men she challenges are 3 dimensional too and generally kind and decent people...unlike other movies where they are walking comical billboards for toxicity. She's imperfect and beautiful and that's how you make a good character. Too many leading female characters are written to be perfect paragons and they are boring and unlikeable. Looking at you Disney.

For me this series ends when Steve Carell left. It was already dragging a bit but that was the definitive end in my opinion. Jim and pams relationship WAS the show, and the quirky things that happened at work that surrounded that love made it that much more interesting. It's hard for great TV series not to jump the shark...if I'm giving the series as a whole a score...it would be a 7 or 8.
