Intense, Excellently Crafted Show!
24 October 2022
I knew nothing about the show when I started watching it so there were no expectations. I watched the first episode and was immediately hooked and kept watching until the very intense last episode. The show made me think of all the ways it could have gone wrong and been a disappointment - but it wasn't. Not in the least bit. Every character is crafted well, not just the main leads. The main leads are a treat to watch! The actors do an excellent job of bringing the story to life. There are definitely "wattpad" moments in the series but they are played out realistically without being artificially hysterical and that was one of my most favourite things about this series. I just learnt that there will be a Season 2 soon and I have very high expectations!!

Absolutely Heartwarming and Gently Beautiful
21 October 2022
This show made me feel really good and I really hope there are more seasons to it. The characters are gently and beautifully written and the story, dialogue, moments, everything is so caring and sensitive even in the rough moments that it feels like my life turned beautiful in those moments simply by watching the show. It made me smile and had me aching for the characters. For a romantic show featuring teenagers, this was absolutely stunning. Of course, that made me feel that it was "unrealistic" for a few moments but then again, that was why this is a TV Show. It was lovely and I will always recommend at least one viewing. The actors are amazing and it is hard to come by such softly gorgeous art pieces on TV.

Just finished this show and definitely recommended
15 October 2022
This show runs for twelve seasons and yes, all twelve seasons are worth watching. I'd heard bad reviews about the latter seasons but personally, I found them quite watchable and even engaging for the most part. There are certainly some moments when the show feels tiresome but they are very few and far between. Overall, if you're looking for a good laugh and have a soft spot for the "nerdy" aspect of life, this show is definitely a must-watch show. My favourite thing about this show was the Sheldon-Penny friendship and I wouls rewatch it just to experience the development of that over the seasons!

Mindlessly Funny
15 September 2022
I didn't know what to expect when I started watching this movie - I just wanted to watch more of Andy Samberg. However, the first few minutes had me shocked -- and laughing! It was nothing like I had come to expect of movies in this very politically sensitive age. However, it is hilarious and it doesn't take itself seriously for a single moment and I loved every single minute of it. Personally, I have a tendency towards being too serious so this would be the last movie I'd watch if I read the reviews and spoilers and knew about what to expect. However, as I didn't know anything, I was pleasantly surprised and very entertained. Every single character and moment is engaging and all the jokes made out of super serious and taboo subjects, well, that was really, really hilarious. I'd definitely recommend this movie to others!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013–2021)
10/10
Kept me hooked and laughing straight from the 1st to 8th season
28 August 2022
It's hilarious, engaging and I wished it hadn't ended! I was completely addicted to it from the first to the last episode and it really got me terribly sad that it had ended. The characters are crafted very well, they are striking and memorable and my complaints are really small and insignificant (Jake's character felt a bit off in the first half of 8th season).

It was just too perfect. And it would be so hard to keep a show going good for eight whole seasons but Brooklyn Nine Nine did it!

It wasn't static and moved with the times and I feel like they ended it at the right time and didn't spoil the early Nine Nine experience for us. I loved all the recurring characters, loved the character arcs and development and loved how easily it cheered me up on my worst days. This show is special and iconic and it truly deserves every praise and accolade!

Gigantic Visual Treat, Exhilarating Adventure
15 August 2022
As compared to the first two movies, it started off a little slow but only for a few minutes - it soon escalated to all the things that I have come to expect from the franchise and it was gorgeous! The visuals are stunning and while the "Locker" doesn't feel like it evokes the same sense of danger as some other things, it was still beautifully filmed. Pirates of the Caribbean is superior to a lot of adventure CGI filmed in recent years and I am consistently blown away by that fact!

Is Bollywood afraid of its audience?
12 August 2022
It felt like the movie changed genres midway. It started off on a serious note dealing with the subject of violence against women and then took a comedic thriller turn, which was completely asynchronous with the mood of the movie in the first half. In the end, I only ploughed through it to finish it. I would have preferred a thriller from the start or a continuation of the serious subject. Now it is left in an uncomfortable no man's land and leaves the viewer dissatisfied.

High Adventure, Absolutely does not disappoint - only gets Better!!
9 August 2022
The second installment of any series is when the graph curves downwards but in this case, it is absolutely not the case!! As highly entertaining and iconic as the first of the series, all the new twists and turns only makes it better. It leaves off at a point where I definitely want to jump right into the third part. It had me absolutely spellbound and wishing for more and more! Can't wait to go watch the third part!

Wow. New Most Favourite Love Story!
7 August 2022
I still don't know what Licorice Pizza means but I loved this movie to bits! It's one of the most gentle yet powerful takes on romances and it's a rare treasure. I didn't know what the movie was about and I hadn't watched the trailer so everything was a revelation as it unfolded (especially Bradley Cooper!) and I feel wistful now, I want to have this experience again. The characters don't lose themselves in the process of being a romance, they find themselves and it is so deeply kind and understanding towards them . . this movie is a very touching form of art and I love it!

Rivetting, Adventurously Romantic And Completely Breathtaking!
7 August 2022
Not just a wonderful "pirate" movie, but a wonderful movie in all aspects! Had me glued to the screen from the start to the finish! All characters are well fleshed out (pun intended) and each twist and turn had me engaged. A fantastic movie experience and I can't wait to watch the rest of the movies in the series. A true classic!

A subdued and good enough goodbye to The Hangover
28 July 2022
I'm glad it wasn't a copy of the first like the second one was but had it's own story. It was clearly a goodbye movie tying together the trilogy and with that mind, it was done well enough. It had laughs and I wanted some more of the wolf pack so I got it. But I am glad they stopped after this. The Hangover is just so amazing that the good feelings from it carry over to the other two less-than-perfect films and satisfy that craving to watch more of The Hangover adventures. This is what it was and I liked it and I would definitely go back and watch The Hangover itself a few more times. The direction, the writing, the cast, the music, the editing - everyone did a very, very good job! Kudos!

Warning: Spoilers
I watched The Hangover II because I loved The Hangover and it was exactly like The Hangover except in Bangkok, but since I love The Hangover so much, I enjoyed it.

It's so Freaking Funny.
27 July 2022
And it has a story. I loved it through and through. I vaguely remember watching it in 2010 but in 2022, it is even better! There's not a single boring moment and every character holds their own as well. It's well acted, well directed, a very well executed concept. I love it. It's golden comedy!

Exactly what you'd want in a 90s Romance with Christmas feels
26 July 2022
90s Romance is a genre in itself for me (it's 2001 so still 90s). I was looking to watch a typically cheesy 90s chick flick romantic movie and this checked each and every box and I was super happy by the end of it. That aside, it's actually innovative in the genre and sticks to the theme "serendipity". It has the warm Christmas feels and feels like a hug. It's well acted, well written and directed and just lovely in all ways.

"Not what you'd expect" but in a Good Way
25 July 2022
The intersection between love and sex, exploring and experience, and a lot of life at every turn. It has some jerky 90s humour - and that's what I love about it, too. I am 2020s enough to be scandalised by the teenager and the adult dynamic that is repeated over and over -- but only at first. Afterwards, it just feels very -- real. It draws me in. And it is a good reminder that teenagers are teens but they are growing into adulthood and just by imposing morality, things won't magically change. It's a good movie. It's a very good movie. Cheesy, yes, but also refreshing and challenging even in 2022.

It's watchable but also skippable
23 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It's watchable and that's about it. I do love Chris Evans taking on the villain roles now. It's too fast paced to have anything more than token story. Nothing too deep and moderately well executed action sequences. But really, if I could put on John Wick, why would I downgrade to watching this? Everything is just too "little". The crazy villain doesn't feel too crazy. The anti-hero doesn't feel too heroic. The danger is just not there. But it passed the time, so there's that!

About Season 3
18 July 2022
I don't get Season 3, but otherwise, I liked it before. I also do not have the will to re-watch Season 3, it is too dramatic. I preferred the pace and chaos of Season 1.

It is a very entertaining watch!
15 July 2022
I watched it thinking that I am watching a 2022 adaptation of a classic and based on that, well, I was completely satisfied! I am glad there are movies like this which are complete in themselves, quirky and fun to watch while still keeping the spirit of the original story alive - without simply being a motion picture replica of it. Dakota as Anne was very refreshing and so was all the cast, really!

I need more 2020s interpretation of classics!

Fun little concept, A very underwhelming execution
10 July 2022
It's watchable but all that music should warn you that it isn't the best movie. The premise of the movie is interesting but it feels like the writers and actors barely scratched the surface of what could have been a movie that left a deep impression. The casting was uncomfortably wrong and in the end, the thing that made me happiest was just Chris Hemsworth on my screen. It even stopped feeling like a movie but felt like I was just in the set, watching things bring filmed.

it's fun to watch
8 July 2022
If you're deep into the fandom, you'll realise that there was a lot of political correctness going on, concerning all the previous criticism levelled towards hawkeye/clint barton/jeremy renner. However, putting all that aside, this show is quite entertaining and a fun binge! I loved the action and surprise character appearances. I am looking forward to see how this integrates into the movies.

some episodes excellent, some not so much
7 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It's an interesting take since multiverse is going to be big in phase 4. However, some episodes were fun, others were a drag. 8/10 is because i absolutely loved the killmonger episode. I never quite saw him as a "villain", and this story was the best among all.

Season 4 was really underwhelming but i hipe it picks up in season 5. I need to see more of lenny bruce or new characters. The only thing that made me marginally happy this season was midge/lenny.

mcu is mind-blowing in phase 4
3 July 2022
The phase 4 movies and shows are such exceptional entertainment. I was immersed in the movie from the start to the finish. It kept on unfolding to greater thrill and grandiosity and i am all here for this version of mcu. It felt more like an mcu movie than ten rings did but it was amazing nonetheless.

Definitely recommended!

Absolutely engrossing. I watched it as a part of the mcu but i forgot all about mcu and instead enjoyed the movie solely for the sake of its own story and thrill. Exceptional entertainment film making.

Stellar performances, Feels good while watching, but...
30 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
An engaging movie, that keeps you watching and holds your attention. A real-life "inception" where this movie is a movie about Mr Rogers telling a story and unraveling Lloyd Vogel, who is a journalist who is telling a story and unraveling Lloyd Vogel. I got a kick out of it (I'm easily amused).

But it has some real kindness and gentleness that was very good to watch, especially since kindness and forgiveness comes to a man who doesn't deserve it, imo (Jerry), and when it does come to him, even I, a biased unforgiving viewer, is okay with it.

Definitely a movie that uplifts the mood, yet somehow, left me with a sense of shallowness that makes me not very impressed once I've turned off the screen. I'm unconvinced that Lloyd has changed or that he won't make some grueling mistakes with Gavin himself.

Lloyd doesn't feel like he was able to resolve things with himself but it felt more like Mr Rogers would like Lloyd to have resolved things with himself.

Not good.

Or maybe intentional?
