If you have not seen the animated series, you clearly feel something is wrong with the way story is going on. It looks too much straight, leaves no room for curiosity and thinking. No twists and no big events. Yes, big events happen but the audience may not feel them that way. That is because the characters are played badly and music is terrible. I mean at the end of the season one, in one of the most epic scenes there is no music and feels like some ordinary accident is going on. The cast is terrible as well. I mean it seems like they have been forced to make it with those actresses and actors. Especially the actress playing princess of the fire nation is unbelievably awful in every aspect. The avatar is next and then with a little distance come others like Zuko and The Uncle. These bad feedbacks get amplified if you have seen the original animated series. The funny moments of Avatar as a sweet child, the complex Character of the Uncle Iroh, and the wicked but bright and proud princes Azula. Even minor Characters are quite terrible. The only good casts in the show are Commander Zhao and Gyatso.

Overall, there is only some good computer work and cinematography. I hope they totally recast the series and focus on the writing more than CGI for next season. Otherwise, this is already a failure.

These for stars are for the story itself which is still quite interesting even that it has been told badly.

Black mirror used to be deep, rich in content and powerful in storytelling. Also, it was a window to the future, not just technologically, but also regarding the impact of technology on our way of thinking in the future. To picture such scenarios deep thinking and writing skills are required. You can't just place a cloning body in the plot and tell a regular traumatic story. That is just lame and downgrading the legacy of a great show.

For a moment I though I was watching a cheap psychology movie made in 90's. This was a big disappointment for me. After the previous big let down about a psychopath couple, this one confirmed the death of the black mirror I knew.

I start with the story. This movie is an eye-opening wonderfully made piece of art about the most precious things in life. The movie demonstrates the importance of kindness, love, and care which you may not be aware of unless you lose them. That is one aspect of the story. Another important aspect of the story is children's problems in integrating with the environment, even with their own family, based on their personality. To have a different personality could be hard and gets amplified in a toxic family. The aspect of a toxic family, especially toxic parents has been presented as masterfully as possible. I won't explain the details to avoid spoiling the movie.

Storytelling is straight. Minimum metaphors and vague scenes have been filmed, maybe zero. Also, the movie does not include any form of parent love cliches which is a strong point in my opinion. You hardly find any unnecessary moments in the film and the scenes are sequenced perfectly. However, there could be some extra time for the girl's biological family. Other than that, everything is great. The story will get you right to the end which is emotional and lovely.

The cinematography is perfect as well. Excellent facial close-ups and sceneries help build up the atmosphere for different parts of the story. The performance is superb. You will accept the actors as their characters without doubt and cannot expect a better performance or cast. Especially the little girl is excellent.

The movie is visually poor for a sci-fi film, even considering its production time. However, the story is strong enough to cover that shortage. A kind of concept of aliens or other being living among us is shaped and presented in a way that the audience will follow the story until the very end. However, it leaves us with so many unanswered questions. Origin, purpose and the nature of the aliens or beings remains unknown.

The acting is superb. All the actors and actresses give a terrific performance. Directing follows the same path.

Cinematography is poor. There are not enough sci-Fi shots, except glowing eyes. I'm not talking about visual effects which are poor as well, but I'm saying that sci-fi events are not filmed and presented enough. The results of such phenomenon however are presented as mysterious events.

Music is acceptable.

It is a good film for one time watch but don't expect too much. If you enjoy hearing a sci-fi story, this film is excellent for you. But as a movie it's just a decent one time worthy one.

No sign of magical world of Tolkien. And I don't mean seeing magic, but the mystical feeling by reading it.

Lord of the ring movies were loyal to that basics, by playing musics where needed and avoid it where it is not. That applies to strong speeches and romantic scene as well. Here in rings of power, there are too much unnecessary dialogues and lame romantic scenes. Regardless of having a great story at hand, the storytelling in the show is about the average and Bad directing is obvious.

Cinematography is good but could be better. Again it does not present the world that JRRT has introduced.

As for the cast, acting are acceptable but actors are badly selected and regardless of them giving their best performance, still don't fit.

So, overall, not worthy of a Tolkien work.

There is one great thing about this series which is focusing of role of the people in the modern western society. Yes, they have the greatest power and their acceptance is the ultimate vote. But, people are easily manipulated by corporations, the government and the rich. That is very well explained in this sci-fi series and seriously it is more than what you can expect from a superhero story in that matter. The visuals are also acceptable and good but not excellent.

However, it contains all the problems and story holes that are common in all the superhero movies and shows out there. I don't want to go in that direction and list them because the list would be so long. That is the real problem with this kind of movies. Sometimes they don't make sense even in their own introduced logic.

So, overall, it is surly an above average work. It surly amuse you and is also has something to offer socially. I recommend it to watch it if you have time.

This movie is absolutely brilliant. It tells a very sad story that may represent the difficulties in romantic section of journey of life. The subject is very interesting and is presented in a realistic way. Also, the scenario is brilliant and it has been given life by excellent directing and performance.

It has some weak moments where you may feel a sudden down pulse in quality. You may feel non realistic narration for short moments but that could be ignored.

I definitely recommend this one. Give it a try.

This is one of the best Chinese dramas of all time, Especially in Xianxia and Wuxia genres. It is based on a very successful novel named The Smiling Proud Wanderer.

The Story is brilliant. Absolutely lovely, dramatic, fantastic and epic that includes very interesting pot twists. I promise you that If you don't like anything else about this show, at least you will enjoy the story. However, I believe its other aspects are amazing as well. The casting is very smart and actors are greatly fit to their associated character. That gets more interesting by their excellent performance all over the series. The computer work is also great considering the time that it had been produced and aired. The wuxia and Xianxia aspects are presented in the best way possible. Not too much that it would bore the audience and also not been avoided anywhere that are needed. The series also has decent humor and pretty good cinematography.

I decently recommend this series. Give it a try if you don't hate wuxia and Xianxia.

This movie feels like those little animals that amaze you by accomplishing emotionally and intellectually significant tasks. You don't expect much but it gives you more than what you expect.

I have to admit that Edith Pretty is among the top 10 well developed and fascinating characters I have ever seen in my life, and believe me I have seen many movies in all genres. She is lovely, classy, kind, smart and dying. The movie makes you feel those characteristics the best way possible through both its great scenario and the great performance by Carey Mulligan. Mr. Brown is yet another lovely character there that amuse you. Again, both the introducing the character in the scenario and the actor's performance are brilliant. And guess what? This movie doesn't stop there in being great at character development, even the minor characters are extremely well written and well played.

The cinematography is also great. Green sceneries and farmlands and close ups from time to time makes the audience lives the story and feel it as real as it can be. The directing is decent as well. The movie is not too long, it successfully presents the story. There are a few scenes that could be ignored and there are some that needed more screen time though.

However, Despite the scenario being brilliant in introducing the characters, the story itself could be told in much better way. Not to say that it is bad, but it could be more interesting in storytelling. Maybe a warm narrator from time to time could have been a good choice for this movie. Also, there are some quick jumps in some scenes where one may feel a part of the story has been cut away.

So, all in all the movie is not the among the top excellent movies but is confidently among the decent and worthy ones. I believe it is among the top movies in character development though.

This movie is absolute masterpiece in the term of CGI. But that's all. Other than that, everything is poor and really disappointing even for Marvel standards. It has very poor story telling terrible directing and poor story. To much moral cliches are included which will really bore you.

All in all, apart from the computer work, it's a below average teenage film. I was amazed by high rankings and was expecting something like infinity war, at least something like avengers but got very disappointed after watching this childish movie.

The final was full of CGI and action scenes. The story, however, although was interesting, was not told greatly. I was expecting more clearance about the rings and the entities. Also, the story was very compact and rushed.

I can accept this ending but I wished a better one.

This movie may look fun but it is actually extremely sad. It successfully targets and demonstrates the public ignorance and incuriosity on the one hand and systematic corruption among the politicians and the super-rich on the other. Imagine a condition where even the destruction of the whole planet and the extinction of all life on it is not enough for some people to put an end to their destructive acts. Looks familiar? Well, this is what this movie is about.

It is surely one of the best movies that explains the problem in that matter. The movie is mainly focuses on explaining the problem and does not explain the causes or solutions. This is a good thing I think because otherwise it would be too much to handle in a featured film. It gives some hints in very short scenes though. For example, we can see the corruption among the successors of previous generations who have been honest and hardworking people in one scene. Also, The movie shortly explains the difficulties that hardworking and talented people of current generation are faced to only if they are not belonged to a small percentage of wealthy families.

This movie however is particularly targeting the republicans and former president of the US. It explains the anti-science movements among their fans. Simply, replace the comet with the Covid-19 virus and you will find the other elements and characters easily. So, of course there are some people both among the critics and in the public who show this movie the bad face only because it has done the same to their interest or political believes.

Therefore, I suggest you ignore negative expressions and watch and enjoy this masterpiece. Especially if you have been annoyingly bothered by anti-science people and corrupted politicians and the super-rich, this movie is for you. I, for one, appreciate the effort, courage and talent that has been used to make this brilliant movie. The acting is superb, story telling is brilliant and the directing is excellent. Thanks again for bringing this to us.

The movie makes no sense at all. The story that has been told in this movie can not be by any means a sequel to the Previous movies. I wont explain further and detailed in order to avoid spoilers.

The action scenes are very poor and far from the legacy, Basically are a bad remake of the action scenes in previous movies. I wish they have not made this movie. Not to say that they have ruined the previous ones. They can't! Every movie has its own value. However, They have closed any window of opportunity for a good sequel to the movie.

There are some good ideas in the film but those cannot save the whole mess. It is in overall a bad movie and by comparing it to the Previous films and judging it based on the main story of the Matrix, it is a terrible one.

I can safely say that it does not worth your time.

This movie has some great moments but overall it was a little disappointing. It fails to deliver ideas transparently most of the times. So, directing is not the best. Also, gets boring in some points because of poor story telling.

If you expect something as good as Budapest Hotel, you'll be disappointed. However, it's not a terrible movie at all, it is just about the average.

It is a drama- fantasy story based on an old book named the same. A brilliant combination of fantasy and everyday life problems with great lessons for life.

Considering the release date, its CGI work is quite acceptable. Characters are unforgettable, story is superb and the scenario and directing is fantastic. It is impossible for any child to ever forget this animation.

Kudus to all the people who have helped to bring these Ryunosuke Akutagawa's masterpiece on the screen as masterfully as this one.

I am not sure if the original work that has been aired in japan is available or not but there are some copies online which are based on aired versions in S. Korea and Iran.

I hope someday the original version will get released from archives of Dax International or any other source. A remake will be quite interesting as well.

This is a good average movie that presents the dominant culture in a certain historic period in Japan. It has been presented from the perspective of a modern day woman and has some decent humor scenes. However, the movie gets boring in some plots and the story is not very interesting. It is relatively slow going. I don't call it a fantasy movie because the only fantasy elements is going back in time through an elevator in a hotel. It's mostly a comedy drama movie with some historical elements.

It is a good movie to spend some time but don't expect too much.

If you want to see how you can waste anemometer, resources and time, then this movie is a good choice for you. Other than that, it will be a waste of your time. Everything is terrible and above the all, the scenario and cinematography. It is better to avoid it even of you just want to kill your time there are better options for you. It is not the worst movie I have ever seen, but is among the terrible ones for sure.

I haven't read the books so I can't judge them at all. But as for the TV show, at least so far, I see too much of Tolkien in it.

Orcs, like the army of the dark one, who is very similar to Sauron. Running using the inability of darkness ft m passing through waters is like the hobbits escape from the port in the fellowship of the ring. I could go on but you can guess the rest. Even themes of songs is very similar to songs in lord of the rings.

Acting and directing is about the average and scenario is no better. It is not a great fantasy show, it can still be amusing though.

I newer understand why do they make these movies. Better say, why someone may want to watch it. However I understand that that's something that anyone decides individually.

But for me? There is nothing in this movie. No message, no interesting story. Not a fantasy but can't be real at all. No superman but well, some characters do tasks that no one can do in real life. There is only some fake cheap action scenes.

With all due respect to people who may like or enjoy it, I consider it as a total waste of time.

This an excellent movie in every aspect. Great visuals and camera work. Great scenario and acting and directing.

There is also some political hints hidden in theology. It criticize the corporations dominant and wealth in the hands of their masters and shows how it corrupts the societies. It is however against capitalism and free market I assume and indicates that if anyone is allowed to hold such power (like a god) a catastrophe is inevitable. I am not all agree with the political ideas beyond the story but I have to admit that it has been presented very well.

CGI work is also great and it is enjoyable and entertaining even if only considered as a fantasy tale.

It may be labeled as comedy film which is true, but it still delivers serious messages about real living problems in human societies. How many of us really are players of our lives? We want to be, but it is really hard, like the world is designed in the way that we can't. Like we are useless characters in a video game. The movie also indicates that an intelligent self-aware creature cannot and has not been made to live like that. But the greed of some for money has changed the suitable environment.

Those are all the brilliant and successful parts of the story which has been visualized and produced greatly. However, when it comes to the concept of change and escaping from a repetitive life, the movie cannot be considered as a simulated version of real life. There are big philosophical holes there in the plot. The creators' rule and the players and the game characters interactions are not related to the real solutions in real life for humanity to scape the current corrupt system of living.

So, the movie is in overall acceptable conceptually but it is not the best. Visuals and CGI work is excellent. The scenario is good but there are several scenes with cheap clichés. Very good and directing is acceptable. The movie is entertaining for sure and worth a shot.

Although it's still soon to decide, it looks promising. The currently introduced characters are well developed. The total involving universe has been determined and the belief systems are shortly explained.

However, hopefully, these should be introduced more. Much more details are required about worlds cultures and different people in the galaxy, also mathematics and relations that could link the incidences as the mentioned elements are being explained.

So far, I can keep my hope for this show. Acting is very good, CGI is acceptable and the story is quite interesting.

I didn't like it, Neither I hated it. It can't be considered as a story of apocalyptic survival. There is no details in that matter. Also, it can't be about humanity, relationship between humans and nature and moral lessons for the same reason. As for the sci-fi aspects, it only shows the humans had been advance enough to create learning adaptive robots easily.

So, what is it about? Nothing deeply but everything shallowly. The movie is also relatively slow in which It may be amusing in overall but it may bore you as well. I have to admit that Tom Hanks' performance is excellent but even that is not enough to cover the lack of a good story.

This movie presents one of the most adorable camera work you will ever see. Actings are also quite amazing. The cgi is acceptable too but could be better.

However, the story is not rich enough or has not been told properly. You can clearly see that the director is trying hard to keep you on the edge of your seat but there is no enough material to do so.

So, overall, it worth a shot but it's not the best.

The whole movie could be made only in 20 minuets without leaving any part of the story. You only hear mysterious sounds and characters talk mysteriously but there is nothing that fantastic in the plot. It looks like they try to fool you and create a serious mythical and wild environment but they can't. It may entertain you but poorly and slowly.

Also, one may extract some metaphors and hints to the oil wars in middle east but again poorly and badly.

So, I wouldn't recommend it to watch unless you are eager to watch some si-fi vehicles and a fantasy worm along with sand storms in a desert planet. Expect no story.
