The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
Not bad but also not great..
I actually bought tickets to go and see this when It first came out so I could go with a friend, it cost a bit but as a fan of the conjuring series I thought why not. But sadly that fell through and never went..(tickets went to someone else just incase you were wondering they didn't go to waste and they enjoyed the movie..I think..)
but luckily had the chance to watch it today as it is currently on amazon prime and I'm kinda happy I didn't go and watch it in the cinema because this just isn't the conjuring I know and love. I was laughing through the movie to be honest..none of the jump scares did anything for me and the story was a bit mediocre..It was good at the beginning and then it just felt..maybe rushed near the middle, not sure but it wasn't right at all.
Nothing wrong with the acting at all, that was fine. There was one scene where ed got that stuff thrown in his eyes, it felt like I was watching movements out a game..it felt off.
Not sure about the one scene where she finds the alter..felt like the effects on that was overdone (was so confused what was going on. There was laughing too), they could of at least tried to make it intense by maybe..I don't know...less effects??
Other than all this, it's a good movie but it was lacking in a few areas sadly. I do suggest watching it even with these hiccups though.
Wednesday (2022)
Not what I was expecting.
When I first saw the trailer I was very excited to watch it. But now I don't think I can even finish it!
It isn't a bad series it's just does make me go 'I wonder what will happens next' or 'omg!! I need to see more'
The first episode was okay but it just got worse over time, don't think I can make it past episode 3. It just seems like a glorified cw show. It's dull and boring, just doesn't have the same vibe as the last Addams family movies.
I don't think it is the actors/actress that is the issue, I personally think it is the way it was written, if it was written differently then I don't think it would be to bad. CGI was okay but you could definitely see when they start to use it.
So unless you like the last few seasons of riverdale then you might like this series too.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
Went as I thought it would..
I don't understand who they were trying to aim this at, it felt like it was aimed at children but at the same time it couldn't be with the gore and horror. I'm confused. If they were trying to do a more horror movie they shouldn't have done it the way they did. And just went all out and not made it childish.
The music was so abrupt at times and really annoying, and so was the comedy it felt childlike.
For some reason. It felt like it was edited by someone on tiktok no offense to tiktok editors or anything. There is a time and place for that kind of editing and it's not in movies.
Even Disney+ didn't want me watching it, like; it kept pausing all the time.
The acting was probably the only decent thing in this movie.
I also want to say if they can put the guy from the fantastic four and make him stretchy why couldn't they do that with ms.marvel?
I didn't watch this because I wanted to but because I had to...The marvel community for some reason makes you feel bad for not watching stuff. Which was a waste of 2 hours.
Cats (2019)
Bad as people say!
My oh my, if you would like nightmares tonight then sure go ahead and watch it. It's awful...I think watching paint dry is more entertaining.
This movie is going to make everything else seem amazing.
First Kill (2022)
Cringey yes but still enjoyable!
This show is cringey yes but, it is not unbearable like obi-wan. I sorry but it's true. And the acting in this is better.
The story is very basic but I don't think there is anything wrong with that, but if you are a fan of vampire diaries maybe skip this show, it is quite different to that.
CGI was questionable at times but I have seen worse so it didn't bother me. Plus there isn't much.
There are maybe two scenes where the editing was weird, like it was off a sad YouTube comp or something.
It may just be me being gay and giving it more credit than it deserves but I really did enjoy this! Sat here and watched in one sitting and for me that is something.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
eerrrr
This show has been a huge disappointment from the very start I see, which is a shame because it had potential I feel.
First, how hard is it to chase a child running at like 1mph..that scene was like an episode of a nickelodeon show. You should of let the child act like a child...On top of that, the acting was awful. Not only the child overacting her role but the third sister I do believe is the huge killer of the show. Along with the story of course, as there really wasn't one, we know how it ends and no one is in any real danger let's be honest.
I would pass on this show if I was you...It is just another round to get money out of the fans. Nothing good about it...
Vampire in the Garden (2022)
I was wishing for something better
When I saw the trailer for this a while ago I was very excited, but then it all crumbled when I watched it.
The pacing is awful, the audio was being annoying...the music would be way louder than the voice actors so you could barley hear them. The character animations seem a little stiff and the background art is amazing but the character art style seemed to be lacking something.
