I'm Really Enjoying It!
Well what to say after only being able to see the first two episodes? Well firstly all the contestants are really interesting. Koreans are simply awesome and have a fantastic personality. Such a different variety of people from special forces, male and female models, you have your youtube stars, your body builders, gold medal athletes and the list goes on. Despite the majority of contestants being 99% Korean, there are a few from other countries but they speak fluent Korean. The first challenge was great to watch and showed it wasn't just about strength, you have to use your brain in this competition that's for sure. After witnessing the first 2 episodes it's going to really heat up and ego's are going to get bruised. Looking forward to the next episode!
Imawa no Kuni no Arisu (2020)
NEVER ACCEPT TEA FROM A STRANGER...
Episode 8 of Season 2 was quite the mind bender.
Big thanks to director Shinsuke Sato!
Riisa Naka as Mira aka The Queen of Hearts was fantastic. I knew as soon as she offered tea to Arisu played by Kento Yamazaki, i knew he was in trouble..and you knew it wasn't just tea after Arisu drank it. It sent him to a place of false memories from where he was lucky to escape from. From all the physical exertion of the previous games, the last game was exactly the opposite. The way Riisa Naka described certain possibilities about their reality was mind bending and really got you thinking. Her acting was simply amazing and she had me mesmerised. I will leave you all with Mira's last words to Arisu-"Life is just a game we play together...you should try to enjoy it."
Raised by Wolves (2020)
PLEASE WE NEED A SEASON 3!
This has been an amazing sci-fi series and i have watched it twice.
So many questions need to be answered with a season 3 and beyond.
22B is a very mysterious planet and i would love to know it's origins and history.
I love Travis Fimmel who is a fellow Victorian, he is such an amazing actor and his character left us all on a cliff hanger at the very ending of the last episode of season 2.
Credit goes to Amanda Collin who is simply fantastic as Mother. She plays the role of an android aka Necromancer perfectly.
Abubakar Salim who plays the role as Father is so good, he is an amazing actor and the expressions he displays with his eyes alone is superb.
I really hope to see a season 3, we need to see Selina Jones as Grandmother play itself out. There is so much to look forward to and hoping we hear some good news from the creators in early 2023.
Harry & Meghan: The Complete Story (2022)
Harry & Meghan Are Awesome!
I really enjoyed this story of H&M despite the negative reviews from some VERY narrow minded people.
I applaud Netflix for making this. It's so good to see and hear the other side of the story and this documentary shows you how main stream media twist the truth. For anyone who can't appreciate this are soul less human beings and it's a shame it has received the reviews it has. Meghan is so beautiful and down to earth i was so surprised ans the same with Harry. Harry is the kind of guy i could happily enjoy sharing a beer with at a pub.
I my disbelief some parts turned out to be a bit of a tear jerker, mostly in regards to how Princess Diana was treated by the paparazzi. If your reading this you should watch this heart felt story of M&H, I'm glad i did thanks Netflix.
EDIT-Season complete and again it was so good to see and hear the other side of the story..the real story. Not the false stories from the evil british press. It blows my mind what people will do for money, how they are prepared to run people into the ground and ruin their reputations. I hope every single reporter hangs their head in shame, shame on every single one of you for your greed and sheer stupidity. The people who gave negative reviews are simply main stream media brainwashed and should be ignored. Reviews from people like that are not worth the light of day.
Poker Face (2022)
LOVED IT!
Well i really enjoyed this film by Russell Crowe, his acting is simply brilliant along with the rest of the cast.
Was awesome to see Jack Thompson play the Shaman Bill..the moment i heard him say to Russel who was playing Jake Foley-"Let's go and untie some knots" i had a good feeling about what Jake was about to experience...and then when i heard-"Sometimes the body wants to purge." Let's just say what Jake goes through everyone on this earth needs to experience at least once. Your soul will thank you for it.
Elsa Pataky as the dealer was fantastic, although i have never been a fan of poker i was mesmerised just listening to her speak and dealing cards.
Liam i almost didn't recognise, he was brilliant as were all the cast.
Russell leaves us all with a message at the end of the film. The portrait of him i must admit looked amazing and it literally brought a tear to my eye.
Please enjoy this and ignore the negative reviews for i very much enjoyed every moment of this film. Thanks Russel.
Welcome to Wrexham (2022)
I'm Now Following Wrexham FC!
This was actually an emotional roller coaster from start to finish. I really enjoyed all 18 episodes.
Experiencing the high and lows of the Wrexham football club was quite the journey.
My goodness you Wrexham supporters know how to chant! I'm from Australia and aussies can't and have never been able to chant like that!
I'm now following Wales in the World Cup also!
You have to take your hat's off to the one and only Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney..2 amazing human beings with hearts of gold!
I must admit i shed a few tears watching this, i was overwhelmed by some of the scenes, i can't describe them for then this review would contain spoilers.
Do yourself a favour, watch this doco and give the Wrexham FC some love!
Wrexham! Wrexham! Wrexham! Wrexham!
Wednesday (2022)
WICKED WEDNESDAY!
Wow where to begin!
Jenna Ortega totally owns the role as Wednesday Addams. She portrays the incredibly intelligent and witty script perfectly..she totally nails it. Her eyes are ridiculously mesmerising, the feelings she manages to relay through them is simply unbelievable.
Tim Burton is a genius and i thank him immensely for bringing Wednesday to all of us.
Luis Guzmán as Gomez & Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia were perfectly cast as Wednesday's parents.
Gwendoline Christie as Nevermore's principle was fantastic.
Mr. Victor Dorobantu...although we never saw you..we all saw your hand as you played Thing! Being Wednesdays side kick and protector we thought you were amazing..how a scarred hand can be cute is hard to describe but it's true.
I was greatly impressed after watching an amazing 8 episodes..thank you to everyone involved and looking forward to season 2! Bravo!
Game of Thrones (2011)
Amazing Until The Last 2 Seasons
This is a long overdue review, but it's more to voice my disgust in regards to the last 2 seasons of what was an amazing series.
We all know the books were never written and the producers were given the rights to finish it the way they saw fit. Sadly the author never should have given them the rights to ruin this series. The ending was so wrong and rushed it was a massive shame to see. An almost 10 year legacy ruined by people who seems to have lost the heart and energy needed to finish it the right way. It's as though all previous character development was thrown through the window. I REALLY enjoyed the first 6 seasons..some small parts of season 7 were ok but they ruined it with most of season 7 & 8.
See (2019)
Fantastic!
Late edit to my earlier review! I have really enjoyed this series, was a sad ending though but what an amazing cast! Not sure why people thought the queen was annoying, Sylvia Hoeks was simply fantastic, she is an amazing actress!
Hera Hilmar is so gorgeous, she was awesome.
We cannot forget Christian Camargo as Tamacti Jun..he was simply unforgettable i simply LOVED his character.
I fell in love with Olivia Cheng as Charlotte.
Yadira Guevara-Prip as Bow Lion was beautiful and Alfre Woodard as Paris was fantastic.
Mr. Bautista as Edo Voss..we love you but of course Mr. Moama was on another level in the fighting scenes, he was terrific!
Again i really enjoyed this series. It must have been a very expensive production and congratulations to all who made this series a reality you should be proud of yourselves!
Bullet Train (2022)
Yawn...what were they thinking...?
Yes i gave this a 5 for it was a mess of a movie and could have been so much better. I have nothing against. Hiroyuki Sanada but was disappointed to see him again..i mean is there no one else in Japan who could have played his role? Andrew Koji looked tired and i could hardly understand a word he said, he looked sick really. Aaron Taylor-Johnson was good as Tangerine. Brian Tyree Henry was also good as Lemon for i have only seen him from the Atlanta series where he played Paper Boi. For all the people that could have played White Death..i mean Michael Shannon? Really? Zazie Beetz as the Hornet..i really wanted to see some actors we have never seen before i even got tired of her in Atlanta but here she was again.
Bad Bunny as the Wolf...lame character seriously. All in all i expected so much more from this the director needs to seriously think if he wants to direct another movie again and if he does i will avoid it. $25 to rent this movie from Disney? Waste of money seriously.
Emily the Criminal (2022)
Emily Is Fantastic
I really enjoyed this film and i didn't expect it to be so suspenseful.
Credit card fraud i have heard about but fraud squads must have a hell of a time trying to fight the people who go to such lengths to steal money.
You couldn't help but feel sorry for Emily's job interviews, i mean how can anyone expect someone to work for 6 months without any pay whilst working your up the ladder. Emily is tough and is far from being a brown nose. I won't spoil it but there was a scene where Emily really shows her mettle and goes to show no one should be underestimated especially a girl. This movie was well directed and like all good movies it went by fast.
Aubrey Plaza..wow i hope to see more of her in the future she was simply fantastic and Theo Rossi is awesome.
I Came By (2022)
Morale Of this Story? Choose Your Friends Wisely.
If you want a movie with a happy ending this isn't the one.
Some friends are a waste of time as you will see in this movie. The procrastination was painful to watch and there was also no time reference..wow months passed seriously? A guy that gets his drink spiked later gets into the car of the guy who spiked his drink! Wow dumb on director. The guy who is doing the killing finds another home and guess what, the basement looks exactly the same as the house before it. What else can i say it was a case of too little too late. How the guy in the end managed to actually graffiti the wall before the police arrived was ridiculous. I wish i had never seen this movie, just shows how stupid some people can be.
Dune (2021)
I'VE WATCHED IT 4 TIMES!
Yes as titled I have watched this amazing movie 4 times already and looking forward to watching it a once or twice more before Dune 2 is released.
There haven't been many movies that have made me feel like this one...i simply love it being a huge fan of sci-fi.
I'm sure the sequel is going to be brilliant.
If you haven't this your missing out sci-fi fans.
But as we all know the spice isn't the real treasure..the best things are sometimes out of sight and out of mind.
Timothée Chalamet as Paul is simply amazing, but lets not forget Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen..my goodness when he floats in the air and the sound that emanates is crazy. Makes me wonder what was done to his body to allow that.
10/10.
Taboo (2017)
Tom Hardy=Must Watch!
Brilliant film and well directed!
The actors were fantastic in this movie and my goodness shows how corrupt people in power can become.
Didn't know Ridley Scott was involved in the making of this. There's no need for a season 2 but if they ever bother making it then it will be worth the wait.
10/10!
House of the Dragon (2022)
Total Failure And it's Only Episode 1
I just read the top review and my jaw dropped in disgust.
The episode was rushed pure and simple.
The dragons look so fake their laughable, they looked better in GOT.
The music is too similar, and the end so is exactly the same as GOT.
The director and writers needn't bother with a season 2 if their going to go ahead.
The fighting scene with the prince after his failed jousting match was pathetic, the guy who defeated him should never have given him a chance to yield.
The scene with the queen who was pregnant was disgusting what were they thinking.
So much hype for nothing..what a waste.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Bravo Editors Wow!
What took longer i wonder, the making of this film or the editing?
MichelleYeoh Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu were simply brilliant in this. Michelle Yeoh is amazing in whatever role she is given and is always a pleasure to watch.
So many messages are in this movie..did you catch them all?
The Princess (2022)
Don't Believe The Narrative Girls!
This movie just goes to show the girls can not only mix it with their male counterparts, but it also highlight's the ignorance of some men. Men need to remember if it wasn't for women..us men wouldn't exist.
The movie starts off not how you would expect, but i was secretly hoping it would turn the way it did, and i sure wasn't disappointed, my expectations were exceeded. Joey King is superb in this..seriously she was brilliant. It's great to see girls in kick arse roles such as these. This movie had great fighting scenes and teaches you to never give up not matter how great or bleak the odds may seem to be stacked against you.
Thank you to Director Le-Van Kiet for an action packed and enjoyable film, really looking forward to watching your 2019 movie Furie now.
Mosul (2019)
Glued To My Seat!
This movie had me riveted to my seat from start to finish.
I'm from australia and have had the pleasure of working with a gentlemen from Iraq, one of the hardest workers i have ever come across.
I would like to say much more but i would be getting political.
This movie really opens your eyes and shows you should really appreciate your time here on earth.
